The smashburgers are made with 100% halal beef and they come out HOT with perfectly crispy edges on the patties and a juicy center. We ordered 3 burgers and each of them stood out in their own way. You can get a single, double, or triple patty burger and add whatever toppings to it too. The jalapeño burger was the star of the show, it had a such a nice and spicy kick to it. I wasn't expecting much but this burger had HEAT! Another favorite was the Juicy Lucy. It was packed with grilled onions and the patty was stuffed with cheddar cheese. Happed upon this place while driving. Was hungry, it was close, had good YELP rating, so I came in. Basic. Nothing at all spectacular. Cute posters. You can tell the owner is really into Superheroes. I ordered the grilled chicken. The good thing is that it is cooked to order. Loved that. Downside, no seasoning, AT ALL. This would be fine, I understand dietary considerations with sodium. What had me perplexed was they had NO PEPPER in the entire restaurant. I've NEVER been at a restaurant that didn't have any pepper. Plenty of salt, seasoned salt and even more salt. No pepper. What can I say about Jon's Joint that many others haven't already said? This place is INCREDIBLE! In Arlington you're not short on burger places, from Burger Billy's Joint in Cherrydale to Big Buns in Ballston, and Best Buns in Shirlington. And to be clear those places are good but Jon's Joint on North Glebe Rd always has me wanting more because of their incredible smash patties. I usually get a Juicy Lucy and can't recommend it enough. If you love a cheesy cheeseburger, please get that! There's plenty of seating and parking in the area and it's one of the few places in Arlington that's open past 10pm (Jon's Joint closes at midnight Sun-Sat) which is a rare feat in Arlington which seems to close down everything around 10pm-11pm unless it's a bar. The inside is nice it's got a nice mix of gaming themes and pop culture; but if you go during peak hours you may have issue finding a seat. read more

Visiting a restaurant for the first time and having a great experience is fine, but consistency is what really matters. I went to Jon's Joint recently and decided to dine it to see what that experience was like. I ordered the OKC burger combo and it was just as fantastic as the first time I had it. - juicy and well seasoned beef with crispy pillowy fries. Instagram really sells this place. I was excited to try Jon's joint but left underwhelmed. Walked in on a Saturday Afternoon and the wait time wasn't long at all. I talked to the cashier and he advised I get the #1 Classic. Even told me I wouldn't be disappointed. I took him up on his offer. I added the combo for $5. I must say, $2 for a can soda is NUTS. My food came out and everything was hot. They give a large serving of fries which was a plus. They have old bay seasoning on the counter which definitely gave the fries some flavor. Onto the burger. Extremely fat patty on a tiny potato bread bun. The patty is so big and flat that it was kinda dried out. The bacon was solid. Overall it's a decent experience but not worth the hype at all. The toppings seemed to be an afterthought and smeared on there. The price isn't bad for a burger at $8.95, and if you level up to a combo, you get a drink and fries. Fries were soft and unsalted. I had to douse it with old bay and malted vinegar for extra flavor. My partner ordered a chocolate shake that came with whipped cream and stripes of chocolate syrup, which was tasty! The service staff seemed disconnected and pushed for us to order faster. The night we went they were playing a UFC fight on pay per view, and a whole slew of guys came to watch with the TV turned up pretty loud. Seems cool if you're going out with the guys. But pretty loud and hard to chat, if you're looking for place to catch up with friends while eating (which was what I was doing). My favorite smash burger is still Joia burger in the city. Immaculate vibes in the restaurant, had a movie playing while me and some friends ate. Server was friendly and attentive. For a place that opens up super late I wasn't expecting much but everything was so fresh because they're made to order. I got the double Patty Melt with beef bacon; while the beef bacon was inconsistent (one piece was crunchy, the other was a little soft) it's still an amazing burger. I also got the loaded fries with fried chicken. Now this is good loaded fries, the chicken is still crunchy even after drenched in cheese and sauce and the fries still had good texture. That said the only thing I would change is the cheese, I would've used shredded cheese over the sauce as everything gets soaked up too quickly. With this new burger spot popping up everywhere on social media, I was easily influenced and had to give this spot a try. The Food: I went with the double patty "#1 Classic" burger. It was kind of a let down. For $15, I expected more flavors and a little bigger of a burger. I get that its a smash burger, but it really just looked like I overpaid for a single patty. While the flavor was good, I wish I ordered a double patty as the single was not enough for me lol. Obviously since it's a smash burger, the burger had no height. I've been meaning to enjoy a burger from Jon's Joint ever since they opened within the past year. My friend was craving burgers and a shake and thought the peak DC humidity in mid-July was the perfect weather to enjoy them. We stopped by last Friday evening for dinner. The interior has a classic retro vibe, as if the joint has been around for 50 years, not less than one. There were plenty of folks enjoying a burger, fries, and shakes. #3 JUICY LUCY - 9.95 + 5 for fries and soda combo + 3.50 to upgrade soda to milkshake If you've never had or heard of a Juicy Lucy before, it's a beef patty stuffed with cheddar cheese (instead of the melted cheese slice on top of the patty) that originated from Minneapolis. This patty was thin, but there was a lot of melted cheese oozing out of every bite I took. The grilled onions were a nice touch, and the buttered potato roll was soft. This was pretty good! The fries were on the blander side and didn't feel deep-fried and overly greasy, which we kind of preferred more to balance out the already greasy smashburger. Our milkshakes didn't come out until 10 minutes after we got our burger and fries. I got the strawberry milkshake, which was incredibly creamy and indulgent, with small chunks of strawberries mixed in. Overall, this hit the spot and satisfied my friend's craving for burgers and shakes. I liked that the food was not overly greasy to the point where I felt absolutely disgusting eating it.
