When you have a craving for a Big Mac, it's almost insatiable, at least it is for me. So, when I went in to this location, the front counter was deserted. I waited. Then I decided to do the kiosk. But I like no pickles and no salt, so I don't get a burger that's been collecting dust since Ray Kroc founded the establishment. I gave up on the kiosk after a couple of minutes. A worker came to the register, punched in some stuff, and left. Didn't even look at me. Abysmal customer service. But what should you expect from a 16 year old kid? Let me start first off by saying I never review chains, unless it is a bad experience, "like the new chain across the street from this location. " With that being said, I really like this McDonald's location! The food is always hot and put together perfectly. The staff are always friendly and service oriented. You can tell the staff like working here, which is a positive reflection on the management. Weather drive thru or inside. Everything is always clean and well maintained, with probably the cleanest parking lot for miles! She was happy that I was taking her today to get nuggets and big Mac but the guy there said the deal expired last week. He was annoyed at us thinking there was a deal that he said was not available. Management doesn't have control of their dual drive thru. Several cars "cutting" in line because management doesn't understand the importance of timing orders when dealing with a dual drive-thru. To the owner of the franchise, this location would be less chaotic if you invested in proper training for your management. You should invest in having management shadow other franchises or take training for a dual drive thru. I have never been to this McDonald's without this issue. It doesn't matter what time of day, which at that point only leads to an issue with management and the owner. You have an amazing opportunity and you are choosing to slack off. Give your workers the opportunity to thrive so that your business can thrive. In the end you are only a successful business owner if you invest in those that run your business. read more

This is a story about an extraordinary employee. I stopped in at the McDonald's in Stayton, Oregon after a long day of driving truck. I had dropped my trailer at a local vendor and bob tailed over to the McDonald's/BiMart parking lot to spend the night. After parking the truck I decided to walk over to the McDonald's to grab a late dinner. While walking towards the restaurant I noticed someone following me. It was a young man with dark hair and a coat over his McDonald's uniform. I went in and ordered dinner. I noticed the young man standing to my left. As I began ordering, he stepped forward with some cash in his hand. I stepped back momentarily and asked him to go ahead and order before me. He said no and told me to go ahead with my order. I slid my card and paid for my meal. I waited a bit, received my bagged order and headed out to the truck. I found a note with $10 cash inside the bag (see attached pictures). I'm sure this young man would not want me to mention this in a public forum such as Yelp, but I felt it necessary to write about this act of kindness towards a stranger. In a world where tension, anger, and a lack of patience prevail, this is worthy of praise. From my heart, thank you for your act of kindness. McDonald's, thank you for hiring such a person. This small jester has restored my faith in humanity. I'm not a person of need, but will definitely pay it forward. read more

I had a wonderful experience with o e employee that transferred from Salem. When I returned to meet her after 5 pm when she wss scheduled to be off I was treated very poorly by the the people working. It was after five and I was snapped at that age wouldn't be off until five and told leave the building. Not good customer service at all but the one worker I was waiting for went above and beyond her call of duty. I work in food customer service and would never talk to my customers the way I was just spoken to. read more

Well. I have taken my grandson their several times and my son I have to check the food each time I order because I tell them NO CHEESE My son and grandson are allergic to dairy. We tried this McDonald's again, and they still suck. Ordered a nugget meal, and we got a bag of five plain burgers. I work nearby and only get a 30 minute lunch break, so by time I get my food from the long waits in the drive through and get back to work and realize I have the wrong order, it's too late to fix it. Get it together guys, I don't know why this has become a reoccurring problem. Is it because there are two drive thru lines and it can't be handled in a organized manner? Has gotten much better since they put in the electronic screen that shows what you've ordered before you pull up and pay. Before this, they were getting my order wrong 3 out of 5 times, whether it was forgetting to take off the cheese or make my drink diet. The staff seems to be a little nicer too. I still only get a few quick and careless, "Hi-how-are-yous" from some of the workers with no eye contact. The fact that they work in a fast food restaurant doesn't mean that their customer service has to be fast. Then again, I'm sure there are people out their who prefer the quickest of encounters in order to just get their food and go. And sometimes I'm like that too. But being fast should be no substitute for courtesy. You can have quick service and make a good impression on the customer too. Also, why aren't these restaurants serving breakfast 24 hrs yet? I would think that it would serve them well and those who only like to come in for breakfast would come in more often. Who says you can't have hash browns at 8pm? I wish I could give negative stars. Last time coming here they took forever to bring our food out and all of the other cars that were asked to park and wait were waiting forever too. They brought ALLLLL of us the wrong orders multiple times and only gave 1 car a "gift card" for their wait. Now today my husband goes to get all of us dinner, ordered through the app, still waited outside for 20 minutes, had to go inside to ask where our food was and was given a bag of cold food... but he was too upset to argue at that point. He came home and we realized they forgot a double cheeseburger and 10 piece nuggets, but were nice enough to include a box with a bunch of cheese slices we never asked for. He called to tell them they forgot half of our order, they said to come get the rest. He went back, got the rest of our food and asked if he could get one of their "gift cards" for having to go all the way back to stayton for the rest of the food we paid for and they told him they don't do those anymore. Seeing as how they just gave one out in front of us a few days before, I know that's BS. Cold food, takes FOREVER to get, and disgusting customer service. The manager should be ashamed. read more

Had occasion to make an early stop at our McDonalds the other morning, went into the business and had to wait at the counter while a personal conversation took place. Server ambled over, gave a "what do you need" type question, and I gave my order, got it and left. Service was poor, attitude of server was totally "I couldn't care less" and was outright discourteous. Food was not fresh and was barely warm. Believe I can do without in the future.
