    Club sandwich and onion rings.
    Lori R.

We went here with a group of old friends to catch up since we haven't seen them in many years and they live near by and have not tried this place. When we walked in we did notice that the sign on the door did say no one under 21 so immediately we knew it was a bar. The were a few patrons at the bar and we were greeted by the bartender with a warm welcome and given menus the she promptly told us all the items that they were out of and what was the special of the day. My husband had the Chili burger and I thought he was going to lick his plate, it was served open faced with a large portion of chili on top with cheese and he opted for no onions and it was served with a side of fries. I shared a club sandwich with onion rings with my friend, it was a usual club sandwich but was really tasty and not skimpy, and the onion rings were especially tasty. One of our other guests had the special of pastrami on rye and fries which he said was very good and looked to be a good size sandwich. The Mountain Dew I ordered had a funky taste and they were out of Dr Pepper I thought that was strange but don't miss this great spot when passing through.

The burgers are pretty good. This place is a small town dive bar. I am sure the locals love it.

The blossoms were good but the brussel sprouts were absolutely yummy- crispy crunchy with a mustard sweet chili sauce that was just the right flavors to add depth to the dish. For cocktails we tried the smoked peach old fashion which were dangerously delicious. Oh the entrees...words are inadequate to describe how good the entrees were. The pork chop and beef medallions entrees were so tender and flavorful and cooked to perfection. The chimichurri on the beef medallions was vibrant, herbaceous, with a little spicy heat. My friend had the pork chop and she said it was the best she has had. Food aside, the Magnolia Grill wait staff were phenomenal. We were greeted warmly and immediately once in the door. We were seated right away and the ambiance of the restaurant is very welcoming. The staff were attentive, professional, and friendly. We had the best service we've had in a restaurant in years. I would definitely recommend 100%. This was our first visit but will not be our last!

So, food quality is just fine, came quickly, well cooked- so nothing to complain about there either. And it does offer a choice if you might be sick of the small town vib. My only complaint is the pricing. Partner and I generally eat at restaurants in Portland. When we are at our place outside silverton we generally don't eat out. Nothing wrong with this place but it's very middle of the road good. Food price, in my opinion is too high for the quality.

This was a trip to the Sweet Home, Oregon area to hike McDowell Creek Falls. (Highly recommend the falls hike). On our way, we stopped at The Point, just outside of Sweet Home. Not much to look at from the outside and kind of a diner atmosphere inside. Somewhere, I read you had a "view" to the water. As you can see from the picture, it's a view (sort of) to Foster Reservoir. OK. However, the food and service were surprisingly good! I ordered the special of the day, a Chipotle Burger. Cooked perfectly with 1/3 lb local beef patty, bacon, chipotle sauce, lettuce, red onion and accompanied by some very good fries. My wife had the grilled cheese and it was awesome as well. Her only complaint was it had too much bacon. Yes, you heard that right, too much bacon. I also have been trying NA beers and the only brand I have found I like is Deschutes out of Bend. They had a Golden that I hadn't heard of and it was, in true Deschutes fashion, very good. Our server was Becky and she was amazing. She greets the regulars by name, was very helpful and informative, but not too chatty. If we were in this area again, we would definitely go back. Without hesitation. Great find!

They can be pretty busy at times but I've never had an unreasonable wait time... the back of house is as skilled and hardworking as the FOH. They do have a large space to accommodate bigger groups and are kid friendly on the side opposite the bar. There is a variety of seating types- tall tables, short tables and front row seats at the bar to choose from. I also tried the cheeseburger and the mozzarella sticks. Both great. Their ranch seemed homemade which is always a big plus. For food my coworker got the Fish and Chips, deep fried in beef tallow for those who avoid seed oils, and said it was excellent. I had a caesar salad and fries to go with my cider and it was a lovely meal. This will absolutely be one of our go-to spots when in Salem from now on.

This establishment is a true hidden gem. While the food prices are a little steep, the quality definitely makes it worthwhile. We will be back!
