Nice corner pizza shop. Place is clean, staff are friendly and food comes out steaming hot and quick! The gal at the register was extremely patient while we looked at the menu to decide what we wanted to order. Appetizers came out in a timely manner and were obviously freshly made. We ordered the mushrooms, fries, pickles, wings and cheesy bread along with a large and medium pizza. Everything tasted delicious and was cooked to perfection. We were hoping the wings would be spicy since we ordered the mango habanero, but they didn't have any bite. Pizza prices are a bit in the higher price range compared to Pietro's or Walery's, but you do get your moneys worth in toppings! They do not skimp on the toppings, your pizza is loaded! This place is pretty good. I didnt know cornmeal crust was a pizza thing, but it works. Is it worth $50 dollars a pizza and $22 for a grinder? Maybe if it were located in Las Vegas, San Francisco, London, etc. But it is Stayton, OR. That is definitely the least appealing aspect of repeat orders from this place. We were in the area so we stopped and had a medium sweet & spicy pizza. It was really good. Tasted fresh and the crust was delicious. Italian sausage was probably my favorite. Plenty of toppings on the pizza to the very edge of the crust. You don't get that at other pizzerias. Sadly these days EVERYTHING is expensive so it is what it is. We felt we got our monies worth and value for what we paid. Even had leftovers to take home. We will be back. Probably would get the same pizza, but with extra Italian sausage. It used to seem that pizza was an inexpensive way to eat out, but now everything costs more than I think fair. The interior has nice decorations and is generally clean, but the food lacks anything unique, especially given the expense. It's just another pizza place, so it fulfills my expectations. I would appreciate more interesting and flavorful crusts. They apply a generous amount of pineapples (which I appreciate), but with a little more effort on the crust, it would be very competitive with other pizza places nearby. It has an advantage over Figaro's and other small shops by having spacious dining accommodations and video games. As soon as the food is better, it'll be the best pizza shop in Stayton. read more

Well when you pay over and above we have decided it will still be cheaper to drive to Salem. $8.00 for 10 marble size mushrooms??? Pizza was nominal and they didn't give us the correct dipping sauce. We placed an order @5:45 on 10/14/2018 and decided on "the bomb" pizza. We got this idea from their menu where we have ate before "in house" and took their menu afterwards because In-House service was excellent... So we decided on delivery. What a mistake and the following is a true statement. My wife got an email from Ugos stating delivery was free over 20.00, so we chose that, it's a Sunday night, we didn't want to cook, we are moving and multiple runs to storage was the factor. We called Ugos and asked about their email message, and they denied it. That should have been the warning clue, I asked about the delivery charge and was answered with 4.00 for the mile they'd drive to deliver... We were tired. Been moving boxes all Sunday and decided to go with it. Now mind you, they ( Ugos ) were training a new trainee at the time and she was nervous...so even though we had to REPEAT 4 damn times ( another warning flag should be issued ) our credit card number and then again for the 5th time to another employee to even get the order processed was overlooked. And then it was an hour to get it delivered. Really?...ohkay..... We felt confident that ordering local was the right thing. So we went with it and then tipped the driver $4.00 for a sight unseen yet pizza. We set it aside for a few upon delivery, as it was hot as expected for a 5 minute drive at best. When we cracked the lid to examine what one would be expected to be amazed at greatness was very much less than expected. The crust was thin. The crust underside was burnt. The sauce was nowhere to be found under the cheese that was minimally covering the crust. There was less than 18 pepperoni slices and the topping of Italian sausage was 7-10 minuscule blobs of burned chunks. They advertise "pepperoni and more pepperoni, cheese and more cheese, topped with Italian sausage".....well let's set the record straight. We were so tired, we scraped off the toppings from the pizza they delivered and fed the crusty whatever to our service dog. But wait there's more..... We decided this wasnt right, how could we go from a decent in-store sit down cafeteria feeling they have on Ida St. to a complete joke of delivery and we paid for it.... So we called and asked for a manager, and we were told we were speaking to him. So we explained the situation, but when we questioned the details, he put us on hold for 5 minutes and a new guy answered claiming to be the manager and we then repeated the situation as described and you are reading.... The second guy claimed to be the actual manager, the first turned out to be the delivery guy......how does that work? when asking the first time for a manager and the delivery guy saying he was the manager? Is that fraud? Deception? We explained we didn't want to leave a bad review on social media as some people might do first and wanted to resolve the situation before going to social media...and his answer was, are you ready for this ...."RETURN THE PIZZA, and we'll make you a new one" I explained clearly that we ate the toppings off and fed the crust to my dog and the trash can, there isn't anything left, and we really felt let down by the quality of the delivery and pizza delivered. And he said, return it. I repeated we had just spent the entire day moving and had it delivered BECUASE WE WERE TIRED and he wants us to go bring back what?...WE COULD HAVE DROVE THERE IF INTENDED IN THE FIRST PLACE. We were not asking for anything, not even a free future pizza, no discounts, nothing....and then it gets even worse as we just wanted to let them know they really dropped the ball. I asked to speak to the TRUE owner at this point and the employee acting over the phone AS MANAGER said the owner doesn't care and it's his policy. So, if you think about Ugo's in Stayton, think smarter, this is not a business that caters to being better to the community around it, it's actually worse. I'm now considering contacting my card carrier and asking for a reversal of charges at this point. How dare they ask me to bring back a pizza after delivering burnt dry less than "the bomb" mess of a meal for charges endured and have employees impersonate potential management in charge that ask for less than realistic outcomes. This is all true, avoid Ugos in Stayton. We tried to just have it fixed without anything to gain, what's to gain? A free pizza?...that's laughable to think I wrote all this for a cheap burnt repeat pizza. Avoid. read more

I placed a $65 order and when I went to pick it up, they never put the pepperoni pizza on the order. Our other pizza sat under the heat lamp for 20 minutes while they cooked the other one. So I pick up the $65 order of one cold pizza and one ok pizza. They burnt part of the pepperoni pizza! All we got was "oh sorry, your 4 ranch cups are free." $2?? You think $2 makes up for a cold $30+ pizza and a partially burnt $30 pizza?? Really?? I let the girls behind the counter know that I was not happy. Took 40 minutes for a burnt pizza, one bite was enough to tell me to I had made a mistake eating here. As Pizza go's I like to think I know my stuff. I love Pizza. Love it. That being said I have had Pizza all over this nation and around the world. There is something different about Ugos Pizza. They aren't lying when they say they use top quality ingredients, its grade a stuff. Fresh dough, fresh vegetables and meat choices. The sauce is not the typical generic tomato paste you find on most Pizzas these days. Something about the crust makes it crispy, all the time, in the right places. Every time I am in Stayton I eat here, and only here. The staff is friendly and inviting and the place is always clean. The owner is often there, in the back, putting in work along side his employees. He is friendly and genuine. After talking with him it is obvious he takes this business seriously and cares about the quality of his product. If you are anywhere near Stayton or within delivery range, I would suggest you give them a shot, you won't be disappointed! If you like thin, crispy crust style pizza then you should like Ugo's. Personally I prefer a more doughy thick crust. The pizza was good overall and the service was fine too. Would love to be able to rate the food, but can only review the fact that we waited 45 minutes for their "chicken and spuds" to be told it hadn't even been started. Now I'll set the scene: it's 6:15pm on a chilly Saturday evening. There are a couple of small groups already settled and eating and us (2). The girls up front are the saving grace to this. They were really friendly and helpful. We got our drinks and sat down waiting for our food... and waited...and waited. It was almost time to pick up the kiddo from her 4H meeting so we asked about the food. That's when they said another 10 minutes because it hadn't been started. We asked for a refund and the sweet young lady up front asked someone to come take care of that. The guy was nice enough but had the gall to ask, "You don't want to wait the 10 minutes?" So... They make amazing burgers and the employees are very friendly. You get to have a custom burger with whatever you want on it. It's also near that they have an arcade area. I am the owner and feel obligated to write a remark concerning the burnt pizza that shows up on every website possible. The pizza was burnt and We have no excuse for putting out a pizza like that. With that said the customer that places the pictures everywhere she can, she was an ex- employee and left the business the same way she left as a customer, I asked her to/ fired her, the pizza was replaced at no charge before we quit doing business together. The reason I chose not to do business with her is because I had 2 employees say if they had to wait on her again that they would quit, long time employees at that. It is much harder to find good employees then it is to find customers that people refuse to wait on. Because she could no longer order, she has her boyfriend come in when we caught on and said we are no longer doing business with her she has doubled down her efforts. The employee is still here and as bad as it all is why does she keep trying to buy pizza? We have been under my ownership since 1991, I'm sure we have failed more than once, we stand by our product and make a quality product. Her reputation proceeds her in the Stayton area, as well as Ugo's. She has attacked my business at every turn possible, and after years of it I am now responding. The employees here have always been incredibly nice to me. Some even have a chat with me while I'm waiting for my pizza to be done cooking. Most importantly though, their pizza is outstanding. One of the two places in the area I highly recommend you get your pizza from. When you take a bite of any kind, you can taste the freshness of the ingredients they use and the sauce is just right. Ugo's is known for having the occasional birthday or graduation party so if you don't like big noisy crowds while you feast, I would suggest you avoid this place on weekends (unless you do take-out or delivery of course). read more

Have lived in the area for over 20 years and... First - this pizza is mediocre at best. Second - we live about 3 miles from the shop. They stopped delivering a few months ago. We had eaten here once in a while, over the last few years and the only complaint I ever had was a burnt pizza here and there, which they replaced right away. That is until we saw their delivery car out on our lane, just outside of Stayton one night and thought "Oh good! They deliver out here!" We live 6 miles from Ugo's. Exactly six miles, which is how far they say they deliver. When we called to get two large pizza's delivered, they said it was 6.1 miles to our house and they can't deliver that far. I said "how can that be? Your delivery driver just drove PAST our house and down our dead end lane to deliver to someone else?" The manager basically said I was lying at first but then said that if they were delivering out that far that it was either to VIP customers or to the owners family.
