I am a regular at this particular McDonald's. The ladies who bring my food know me, and I HATE to complain, a majority of the staff is awesome and super friendly! Food usually comes out fairly fast, and hot! The reason why I'm giving this a one star is because of the manager/assistant manager which I'm unsure what she is. I could be sitting across the entire dining room and I could hear her yelling at the staff. I get it that sometimes you may need to raise your voice here and there but it should be done in a private room where no one in the dining area should hear. Even when I order and ask for a simple straits tpk discount to the lady taking my order and she has to ask the manager lady, she gets overly frustrated and acts as it's an inconvenience to her to take the time to help new members out. Not everyone has a fast learning pace as others may. This McDonald's and their employees have been rocking it. I love the mobile app- it makes the drive through experience a breeze. Every employee I have encountered has been pleasant and friendly. I'm there at least once a week- the app and the discounts associated with using it regularly make it all worth while. Example- today I picked up a forty piece with two large fries and a large sweet tea- for $15.87 (20% discount of entire order over $10). I brought them to a small, casual cookout as "appetizers". It wasn't my poshest moment- but the food was devoured (we aren't fancy ;). I appreciate the attention to the efficient service at this McDonald's branch. Thank you! read more

Last time I had McDonalds I ordered a McChicken, medium French fries and a medium coke. My least favorite thing about the McDonals food is the bread. Sometimes it can be a little sweeter and it doesn't feel like I'm eating bread. Also the bread kinda gets like soggy after biting into it. Also the McChicken is supposed to have mayo on the bread but there is barely any of it which is pointless. To be honest is it the best thing I have ever ate? Definitely not but I still would prefer it over a burger. The chicken has great nuance of tastes and it's crispy and chewy. The French fries are quite salty for my preference and I need a sip of water/ soda every now and then. There is definitely improvements that can be made to make costumers happier but it's not too bad. read more

Let me start out my saying; 1: my kids LOVE McDonalds and 2: this location is less then 1 mile from my home. I can understand if a location makes an error. Mistakes happen! Especially during a lunch or dinner rush. However, this location is CONSTANTLY making errors. Leaving items out of the order, forgetting a special order, etc. But the biggest error is me going back. I come home after a hard days work, to only find out that I am missing items from an order that gets repeated to you 2 times. (I placed my order via the drive thru). Somehow, it is still incorrect! If you are looking for a good crunchy chicken nugget at McDonalds these chicken nuggets are for you. They have a good crunch on the outside and a nice and warm inside. The golden brown color of the chicken nugget attracts you in sight to take a bite. The chicken nugget are soft, crunchy, juicy, and chewy. The new building blends right into the circus atmosphere of Straits Turnpike. The strip can proudly be re-named the Berlin Turnpike/Boston Post Road of Litchfield County. We have an illustrious Planning & Zoning Commission to thank for the mess. I miss the old golden arches of yesteryear. The only place to see an original McD's is at the Henry Ford Museum in Dearborn, Michigan. I miss the clean cut kids with no tattoos, ear piercings and hats providing service. Oh well times have changed. I walked in for breakfast for the first time in I can't remember when. Yes the friendly server Terry who has worked the breakfast shift for over 30 years served me. She's an outstanding employee who has dedicated her life to McDonalds. She should be the benchmark for every McDonald's employee to follow. The Hotcakes & Sausage breakfast w/Coffee & OJ was served in record time. The atmosphere of the new furnishings was futuristic yet inviting. I thoroughly enjoyed my first visit to the newly remodeled facilities. My only reservations were that the coffee is still not up to par compared to Dunkin Donuts. I might just purchase a DD coffee prior to my next breakfast and bring it in. Maybe management will get the hint. I have to admit however the coffee is a huge improvement from the dishwater McDonald's served years ago. My second disappointment was that the OJ tasted like TANG. Other than that I enjoyed my breakfast. read more

The hambergers that they put on it were very small like the ones from the dollar menu The staff unfriendly once the saw we were using a coupon. Went through the drive through about 3:20pm. Ordered a Sausage McMuffin meal. (Includes hash brown and a drink) Well, I only live 3 minutes or so away. I opened the sandwich and it was a Canadian bacon McMuffin (yuk) and was stone cold. My drink was a coffee regular with 4 sugars. I got a coffee black no sugar. I called the manager (Diane) and told her about the big FAIL on their part. She agreed to have me come back in, refund my money and remake the order. I'm still only giving them one star. My last time through the drive thru they took 3 orders from lane 1 and left me sitting in lane 2. I had to yell over as the other person started to place their order. I talked to a manager then and she actually told the crew member she had to alternate lanes taking orders. You had just one job folks. One star. That's all. read more

Omg! I don' t know where to start. Should I start from red neckism that goes on in this restaurant or should I say food really sucks! This was my second time I had bad experience at this Mcdonald.. I can't believe rednecks exist in North East. Guy who served me was wearing the manager uniform, but he had one bad attitude. First he didn't even say hello or anything, soda was dripping all over the glass so I asked him to clean it gently. McDonalds has decided it to be good business to post one price but not mention that if you would like hot Tea instead of hot Coffee the price is almost $1.extra. Then when I pulled over to put the ketchup on my sandwich, they actually came out to tell me I wasn't parked correctly. I was at a angle instead of parallel parked.
