I really enjoy this particular Dairy Queen . It's small but enough room to order and grab cakes or sit to eat . I always sit outside on the many patio style tables with umbrellas . The employees are super friendly and the menu easy to read . Come between 11-2 any day and get a good meal deal with icecream sundae. The chicken strip meal is my favorite . You can get it regular battered or tossed in honey BBQ sauce. Comes with fries and a sundae is you arrive before 2pm. Burgers are delicious here and the onion rings big and tasty . We've stopped by a couple of times lately, and we like what we've found here. The burgers are big and tasty -- they don't spare the cheese, thank goodness -- and the fries and onion rings are especially good and crisp. The restaurant is on the small side, but there are enough tables except unless a bus pulls up, and there's outdoor seating which looks great when it isn't winter outside. The same Dairy Queen experience you've always known, just more expensive! Turning into and out of this location is always slightly dangerous and risky, so be careful. The sound of scraping front bumpers reminds you to watch your speed. With 12 people working behind the counter, service is usually pretty quick. It's basic soft-serve ice cream that is always just ok. Happy to see the dining area being used again and not roped off as storage for boxes of cups and cones. We sat outside and had the pleasure of the trash can being changed behind us. (Note to self to sit elsewhere and suggestion to DQ to move cans to to outskirt of area). $3.69 for a small sundae and whipped cream is .25 cents extra? Every googled pic of a sundae has whipped cream on it...but apparently it's a splurge here. I love going to DQ the ice cream of course is one reason to go. They also have a grill and I do like getting the kids meals. They have plenty of options for the kids and they are plentiful and as an added bonus includes an ice cream cone for desert all at a reasonable price. This location does have some decent areas to sit and the staff is super friendly. I did order a salad here ( I know who goes to an ice cream place and orders a salad ), I must say was very satisfied by it. This just means they have something for everyone. This review is about the ice cream. Let's face it, that's what people go to DQ for. The cones are okay. Nothing special. Decent soft serve, no complaints there. The sundaes, though, are a different story. The use the same tiny bowl for small, medium and large, they just dispense a taller "stack" of soft serve. So if you buy a medium or large, you don't taste anything but soft serve for the first two-thirds or so of your sundae. The topping is only dispensed in a small "ring" at the top of the bowl. The whipped cream (which costs extra) is just a thin ring, even skimpier than the topping. That's not a sundae to me. Your mileage may vary. read more

My Favorite Fast Food chain of all the burger ones. Their ice cream is top notch too. This location provides plenty of parking, a drive through, indoor and outdoor seating, and a very friendly staff. Parking lot can be a bit difficult to get in and out of with its slope of an exit and busy meriden/waterbury turnpike road, but it is worth the extra few minutes of waiting to get out. read more

This is a DQ Grill and Chill, so they have burgers and whatnot in addition to the requisite blizzards and such. Would you believe that it took my dumb ass almost three years to realize that they have a drive thru? I work about 2 miles away and have been by a million times, and to me, it's not immediately obvious that they have one. Good tasty burgers! And that's all that matters. The ice-cream is famous and will not be reviewed here, but the Brazier part of this place will be. Simply, yum, not too big, not too small, not trying to be Mac's or Burger King. Some have said service may be a little slow, but in the grand scheme, they arent, they can't even make you park in a slow poke spot. Just so this doesn't happen to someone else....i ordered a turkey BLT combo. When they brought my food the bacon was 100% RAW!! I told my husband to go get his money back. He felt so bad for me....he brought it back to the counter, the manager offered us a new meal. Why would I want one? No thanks! Just a heads up, hook worms live in raw pork. I clearly made the mistake of ordering the grilled chicken sandwich, a complete waste of my $8 & change. The bun was much bigger than the piece of chicken, as you can see from my picture- and what's worse is the bun was extremely hard which made my sandwich that much less enjoyable. Terrible experience. Never going back. When we were trying to order in the drive thru, the girl on headset was rude and wouldn't let us finish taking our order. When we were trying to place our order, she kept talking before we could even finish-rude. The service time was terrible. When we got to the window, the manager was standing around talking and gossiping with a bunch of girls. Unprofessional! She was giving dirty looks as well. Nobody was doing anything but talking about personal issues. The sweet young man at the window was the best part of our experience. He was very patient and sweet as well as polite. I actually feel bad that he has to work there, being as hes doing everything and everyone else is just standing around doing nothing. When we parked, I opened the bag and our fries were ice cold, my sandwich had all the wrong stuff on it, and my bfs burger had tomato on it after he asked specifically for none. My blizzard had nothing in it, just chocolate ice cream. All this could have been prevented if the girl on headset was paying attention to what we were saying at the speaker, instead of rushing us so she could continue her conversation with her coworkers and manager. There was a huge line in drive thru and there was no urgency from the team whatsoever. So disappointing.
