Drive through line was wrapped 80% around the building, at 7:30 am. Lobby doesn't open until 8 am, so waiting until the drive through was the only option. Order taker clearly did not want to be there her tone of voice and attitude was that of someone who is bored and irritated. Placed my order and she rang up twice as many "sausage muffins" as I wanted. She removed one -- so we are good now, right? Pay for the food, and I'm asked if I want a receipt -- don't ask -- just hand me the receipt. Yes -- I want the receipt for business travel / tax use. At the second window, we wait, and we wait, and we wait.... I can see the guy inside bent over near the fry machine -- picking something up off the floor.... It takes him about 5 minutes to get back to the window, where he hands me my bag of food THAT HAS BEEN SITTING THERE FOR THE LAST 5 MINUTES! I get 5 miles down the street, and I realize I didn't get what I ordered! I couldn't believe it! There were super friendly and fast. Area appeared clean. We only went in for an iced coffee to sustain us the ready of our road trip and it did the trick. Coffee, milk, little bit of sugar...set to go! One thing I thought was cool was I learned the Astronaut Lt. General Thomas P Stafford is from here and went on several Gemeni and Apollo missions. They educated you about him with a memorial wall at the drink station. Never seen this at a McDonald's before. Great way to recognize a local hero and bring awareness. read more

During the pandemic the dining area is closed but you can still go in to order and then there's the popular drive through. When we came in today it wasn't busy at all. We quickly went through the drive thru, paid and got our order. Like any other McDonalds we pulled over to check the order and this time it was amazingly correct. We had some shopping to do but came back to McDonald's to order more food to take home for other people. I gave up and walked in to order and found two managers telling jokes and stories to each other while the building was wrapped around with cars in the drive they and they did zero to help the staff. The comparison is quite easy because there is a McDonald's at every major exit along every interstate and in large cities, there is a location every mile. I cannot stand seeing negative comments when I had such a great experience at a place and this happens to be one of them. Hubby and I went on a road trop and stopped by the drive thru at this McDonalds and ordered a big mac and a mcdouble and small fries which were full in size and about the same amount as I would get here in Tucson with a large order. The food was amazing and was obviously made with love which we DO NOT EVER get here in Tucson at ANY McDonalds. The only thing was after I enjoyed the best Big mac in my life I tried to call and the receipt was unreadable due to ink running out. Not sure why all the negative reviews. Stopped through on our way to California from Missouri and hands down the best service from a McDonalds we've had. Hot fresh fries, and generous "extras" on the burger. And damn if they weren't the best biscuits I've had. Not to mention we were in and out very quickly.
