My very first job at the age of 15 was at McDonald's. I loved eating the food then. I love it now. Making a McDonald's burger is a science. No, it actually is....literally. The only thing missing in every McDonald's is a microscope. That's the level of precision, and that's why they are the mother of fast food for 70 years. There are two types of McDonald's Restaurants. One is Clean and One is Messy, and no I'm not referring to its floors. I'm referring to how they make their sandwiches. From step 1 all the way to placing it in the bag. This one I like going to when I do decide to indulge in my very sinful fast food crave. Why? Every time I have ordered, it has been tasty, well put together and the proportionality of the ingredients spot on. So, you don't have a soggy, sticky, greasy, messy burger in a paper bag handed to you. I've tried several McDonald's in my area downtown, but they are outright scary. Too much sauce, greasy bag, 2-day old fries and burnt buns.....Yup. Scary. So, whenever I do crave it and I'm in West Vancouver I'll go here. I mean we all know it's not the best food for you, and you can't even speak of quality when it comes to McDonald's, but actually you can.....in a weird sort of way even McDonald's has varying standards and quality control across different stores managed by varying managements. I was driving back from Whistler with kids in the car and needed to route to the closest McDonald's. My Waze app identified this McDonald's and took us off the highway. It wasn't really close to the highway so it took a while to get there and the parking here is a bit funky. Ordering was easy. We lucked out with a spot right by the door and the ambience of the McDonald's rival any other McDonald's I've been to. The servers here seemed very nice for some reason and we're very friendly and took my order. As expected at McDonald's, the food came out very quickly and very hot. McDonald's - Vanilla iced coffee - Burgers Near Me - West Vancouver, British Columbia

From recent visits, I'm going to go down a star on the food consistency. I'm not sure what is going on with their fountain machine. One time I had a sprite that was completely flat, and the time after that it was just sparkling water with no flavour. Also, I recently got an iced coffee that had no sweetener. Not sure if they changed it but from the many many times I've gotten this iced coffee it usually has sweetener added. Another time my mom went through the drive thru with to get a couple different things, and they forgot a burger (she was in a rush and couldn't go back). She came back a couple days later and explained what happened and gave a receipt. She was able to get the burger for free and she also bought another burger (both were habanero mcchickens). However they gave her two regular mcchickens instead. In a separate visit, she used a coupon but was charged the full price instead. I wouldn't mind too much if my order had a problem one or two times, but now it seems like every time I visit there is a problem. One of the most inconsistent McDonald's I've been to. read more

The late night drive through experience here is one of the worst. If this wasn't the only thing open late in West Vancouver I would never come here. The staff are super rude and incompetent. They often miss items in the order. I recently ordered a 10 piece chicken nugget meal and requested it fresh. When I got to the window to pay I was told I could only have 6 piece nuggets. Huh?! I reminded the women I requested them fresh and she rudely told me I needed to wait 5 minutes. My requested dipping sauces were missing. I hate myself every time i come back here. I shouldn't be allowed to review this place since I ended up spending 0$ in here. I am not McDonalds garbage food eater (except of late night junk food cravings on the way from a bar). However, I was trying to visit this location in order to get a coffee. The lineup blocking the whole street for a drive thru was the first terrible experience. After parking on a parking lot, I went to get a coffee inside but seeing the mess and bunch of unorganized people inside, I had to turn around on the spot. The only fun was to see the guys and ladies in super expensive and show off cars waiting for the biggest junk food you can get in the area. Sorry, no judging, but pathetic. read more

Came here to get some McFrappes. This location actually has a nice large patio section, which is nice for those hot summer days. The inside on the other hand, is on the cramped side. This location is basically ideal for dining outside, or take-out. Having no idea which flavour McFrappe to get (vanilla or chocolate), I got both. Wow, both are pretty good. I actually had trouble deciding which one I liked more, but at the end, vanilla won out. Definitely a good alternative to Starbucks. And of course, if you are on the way up the Sea To Sky and don't think your stomach can wait until Squamish.. read more

Can't take this service anymore. Staff does not understand simple English. They did not give my girlfriend her fries. I found a hair in my fries and after trying to explain what "sub leaf lettuce" is on a burger for 5 minutes, they assured me they got it right. They of course did not. Honestly, I should have known better and checked the bag before leaving the lot. Same story basically across the map in North and West Vancouver, PARK ROYAL AND LYNN VALLEY LOCATIONS ARE NOTORIOUS FOR THIS. Manager working on the 17th of June 2021 at 2pm was very rude. One of the staff made a mistake on my order. The manager came and was the one who talked to me. He was very rude and shouting. When i asked him why he was shouting at me. That was the only time he calmed down. I was very disappointed. If I could write negative stars I would. These pieces of shit are the worst customer service individuals I've ever met. I'm not sure if it is owned by one family but they all seem to be of the same mindset of problem seekers not problem solvers. We've ordered through the drive through multiple times and haven't received the order we asked for every single time. We now know to check each bag diligently because apparently these idiots don't know how to count menu items. Either that or they are intentional scam artists. Not only have they shorted us through the drive thru but they have fucked us of the items ordered through door dash. When we have confronted them about missing items they are complete assholes and hold no accountability for their mistakes. Trust me if we didn't live in west van and weren't subjected to this poor service we would gladly take our business elsewhere. Don't advertise a 24hr business if you can't uphold the same level of service across those 24hrs. Buyer beware. These people are horrendous. read more

I work very close to this location, so I often come her on my way to work, lunch break, or after work so I don't have to over spend on Starbucks or Whole Foods. I tend to get the same thing, Junior Chicken Meal, with Large Fries, and a large drink, with a Mcdouble as well (I get hungry sometimes). Today on my way home, I went threw the Drive Thru and ordered exactly that. What I got was a McChicken, Medium Fries, Medium Drink, and a Mcdouble. If they had showed the order on the screen, I wouldn't have minded as much, or even if they told me the price, as my order usually costs $8.81 I believe, and this one cost me $12.89. I understand that I should have asked for the price, but for being a regular guest there who hasn't had an issue before, I'm not thrilled about this service. Will I stop going back? No. But they need to learn how to listen and verify their orders and prices better. read more

One of the fewer locations that has been around for a long time yet in need of desperate make-over. Every time I come in here the tables are always sticky and dirty. Either they don't clean off the tables as often as they should or people are slobs. I come here to get basic coffee and fill my stamp card. Good customer service. Four orders out of five have been incorrect in the last 6 months. The drive thru lady began arguing that I did not order what I told the drive thru cashier. The manager, however, was nice and listened telling them to get the missing food immediately. I won't be going back. read more
