It's one of THE McDonald's to check off your bucket list of unique McDonald's. Go inside to see how neat and charming the interior is. If you're a local it probably doesn't matter but what a sight it is to see an incredible moose mount above the cashier stand. The cabin charm is lovely. The food is exactly the same as all other McDonald locations I've had breakfast from. Was drawn to the novelty of a log cabin, but I couldn't get out of this McDonalds fast enough. Every trash can along the perimeter was overflowing with garbage. Every table was covered in crumbs and seats hadn't been cleaned. And the wait was silly long. read more

Terrible service and long waits for your meals. Mini arcade located inside the McDonalds to entertain the kids while you wait. Condiments where we'll stock at their station and plenty of seats to dine inside. The decor is beautiful making them unique in the Wisconsin Dells area. Not kept the cleanest since people don't clean up after themselves. We waited for about 30 minutes for our order inside, and order was not accurate some items missing. Since our order was not completed we had to wait a bit for the missing items, so I recommend check your order prior to being seated. The Big Mac meat patty is super thin making the Big Mac just taste like bread and Big Mac sauce. The new tenders were not crispy and no flavor. The drinks machine is self service. read more

I normally do not review large national chains such as this, but this one is special. It is a McDonalds built like a log cabin and decorated with with stuffed game, a fireplace and antler chandeliers. This is the type of McDonalds that you would expect in a tourist town. Additionally, They have a game room. It has a very spacious dinning area, that they should clean a bit more frequently. There were a lot of dirty tables that needed to be wiped at a minimum. There is also some outdoor seating on the sidewalk right outside of the entrance. The staff here was friendly. Now, I will admit that the prices are a bit higher than you normal McDonald's, but it is in a tourist town. I am normally not a fast food guy on vacation, but this was nice. It is not your average Micky D's. You will have to just experience it yourself. read more

Ordered and paid through the app online for breakfast almost 10 min before breakfast ended, though it said you could order until 10:59. Get there after 11 because of traffic. I am told that I cannot get the food I ordered and paid for in advance bc I showed up after breakfast was over. Keep in mind the latest you can order breakfast is 10:59 which would give you 1 minute to show up. No hate to the workers but management needs a policy change, and seeing as their stars are already low, they should already know this. Apparently im getting refunded, but that doesnt make up for the bad experience. Stopped on a Saturday night. It was mostly NOT busy, maybe like 10 people inside. 2 of the kiosks were not working, one you could not get it to go from Spanish to English. Ordered a simple meal, nuggs, hamburger, chick samich , fries and it took 4EVER. Must have waited about 15-18 mins. It was painful. I would have left had I not had my wife there. Long line in the drive through. It wasn't even like a tourist day/season when I went here. Maybe they were short staffed or had a sudden surge in people coming, so I'm like "whatever". But then I get my food and then they had me my drink and there isn't even a straw in the drink. This is such an obvious thing to notice that I can only assume that there must have been a straw in my bag because why would this guy hand me a drink with a lid but no straw? So I didn't even ask for a straw with my drink because that's not really something that has to even be said??? I'm in the drive through. I'm driving. The drink has a lid and needs a straw. I figured there had to be one in the bag because this is like undrinkable without a straw and the person who gave it to me obviously knows there isn't a straw. But I look in the bag and there's no straw. Like why tf would they do that? And then my fries and burger were cold too, and my drink was like room temperature with just a few ice cubes floating at the top that were fully melted well before my drink was cooled down. It was like everything about this was just the worst experience ever. My expectations when coming to McDonald's are usually pretty low but I was still disappointed. They need a third window in the drive through for throwing all your cold food and warm drinks with no straws back at them. read more

This is the absolute worst McDonalds hands down. EVERY time, and I mean every time, we sit for 20 minutes or more in the drive-thru regardless if there are 7 cars or we are the only ones. Not once has the food been fresh, and that's if you get the right food that you ordered. This morning my daughter ordered a bacon, egg biscuit. No egg. All were empty, except for 1 stall had a loose roll of toilet paper that looked like it had previously fallen in the toilet and someone fished it out. On our way to Chicago a couple of days ago, I decided to make a pit stop here before continuing on for the hundred something more miles that was left to go. I took the 85 exit from the I90 East and traveled into Wisconsin Dells where this is located. The plan was to just pee and go. But once I got inside, I knew I had to stay for awhile. I was so amazed! This place is way cool! I love the outdoors, so I immediately fell for this log cabin McDonald's! Like if I could live in it, I totally would! We ordered two breakfast sandwiches and ate it in the humongous dining room. It has high vaulted ceilings, large screen TVs, a fireplace, and all kinds of wilderness themed décor hanging everywhere. Freaky, cool, and, amusing all at the same time. There's also an arcade room in there with several video games too. Nice! Alright, so this is a McDonald's after all, therefore, I guess I should review the food. We got an Egg White Delight McMuffin and a regular Egg McMuffin. Both are overpriced and not worth the money, but I guess it beats having to make it yourself. read more

This place is horrible. This place is super busy inside and drive through. They have about 10 manual kiosk where people can place their order. Out from the 10 kiosk, there was only 2 kiosk that was working. The line was long and out the door. There was associate standing there but he was looking dumb. Not to be rude. He couldn't direct people to go up to the available kiosk and people was just cutting in line. He did nothing. The counter was also close so no one can walk up and place orders in-person. Place didn't look clean so we did NOT dine in. We took out food and left. They need to hire more people. read more

I don't expect good food from McDonald's, but service THIS bad deserves comment. The dining room was closed so we had to use the drive through. Communication was terrible so we checked before driving away. They fixed several errors, but still got one wrong. (Egg McMuffin with no meat.) We explained, again, what we wanted and they still got it wrong. Third try it was fixed but we still managed to get back to out hotel with no cream or sugar for our coffee. Standard McDonalds with a cabin woodsy decor. On a weekday where they had plenty of staff and not many guests, took a surprising amount of time for them to make the food. I was surprised this place didn't have a play area for the kids - you'd expect that in the Wisconsin Dells, then again there are no shortage of places for kids to run wild. read more

The counter wasn't nearly the issue as getting our food was. Waited for over five minutes as did the others around me. Really disappointed. I hesitate to give any McDonald's 5 stars because I've found that the experience really depends on who's working and how busy the place is at that particular time. However, based solely on one experience, this McDonald's definitely deserves 5 stars. It's not far off I-94 at Exit 89 in the Wisconsin Dells and is in a strip mall with Walmart, Kohl's and Home Depot. It's a new building and that really shows in the bathrooms: they're big, bright, very clean, and nicely decorated. This is not a normal McDonald's bathroom! The service was quick and very friendly. It was later in the evening, and there were just two other people inside and no one in the drive through. They must have dunked a basket of fries just for me because they were perfect: hot and crispy on the outside, soft and steamy on the inside, and evenly salted. I've had a string of bad experiences with McDonald's fries over the past year and was about to give up on them, but these were just what McDonald's fries were meant to be. WOW is about all I can say about this horrible experience. Too hard to explain in writing. One thing I will say is the guy taking our order looked and sounded like he was no Older than 10. The guy handing us our food was not getting that we paid for an iced tea and they were out - he didn't get the concept of either giving us our money back or another drink.
