I came here about 30-45 minutes to closing, which I absolutely hate doing, but most places were closing around the same time and I had just left the waterpark. The food was great. However, they sat us at the bar booths so no trains for us which was so disappointing. I didn't know any better since I never been there before. I thought the train went everywhere. They also have a big arcade. My husband and I started with the 'Grilled Shrimp Bruschetta' which was marinated shrimp topped with freshly made bruschetta on grilled sourdough bread. This was delicious! So fresh, great flavor. For my entree, I got the 'Half Rotisserie Chicken Meal' which was a big portion and tasted good. I had enough to last 2 meals. My husband got the 'Chicken Alfredo' which was Chicken, broccoli & classic Alfredo sauce. Topped with a parmesan cheese blend. He enjoyed this a lot. We did feel rushed but that is to be expected. Although, we had a seasoned server. It looked like our appetizers and entrees came out together and I saw him telling the runners that our appetizer JUST came out and keep our dishes in the kitchen until we were ready. We did not tell him to do that, he took the extra step. I would love to come back and try other meals and actually sit by the trains and explore more. This is a great place for large groups with kids! They have a lot of booth seating. There is stuff like arcade games to entertain them. The train theme is cute. We purposely ordered items to see the train in action. We were seated immediately. Service was really prompt and friendly. We ordered cheese curds, pasta, a pulled pork sandwich, a chicken wrap, and drinks. The total for all that came out to around $100. The chicken wrap dish was 75% chips and salsa. The chicken wrap was 50% lettuce. The chips did taste fresh but it was a lot of filler ingredients for a $17 dish... The fries that came with the pulled pork sandwich were very tasty! The bbq sauces that came with the sandwich and fries were good. We enjoyed the cheese curds. They came out fast and hot. It's a bit like fried mozzarella sticks with less crunchy breading. There is so much to see and look at and the Lego creations and train that delivers your food and drinks is always a hit with the kids. The place is absolutely enormous...I wonder how many tables they have. But at the same time once you're seated it doesn't feel too overwhelming. If you need a gluten-free meal, it feels a bit tough here. But both times I've eaten here I got the salmon dinner with a veggie side and mashed potatoes and that has worked well for me. The salmon is surprisingly pretty darn good and not overcooked. The broccoli has been alright, not great, and the mashed potatoes are yummy, very rich. I know there's a lot of places to eat at in the Dells and I'm sure they're all super busy depending on the season. Stopped in at Buffalo Phil's while in the Dells with the family. The big draw here is the atmosphere -- it's built for kids, and ours had a blast. The train that runs through the restaurant delivering food is a really fun touch and kept them entertained the whole meal. There's also an arcade on site, so it's easy to turn dinner into a bit of an outing. Food-wise, it's fine but nothing special. Our pizza was average -- not bad, just nothing you'd go out of your way for. The kids meal was exactly what you'd expect from a kids menu, no surprises there. Pleasantly surprised! My family and I were visiting the dells and walked in without reservations. The staff were friendly and we waited about 25 minutes to get seated. I appreciated the reservation holder devices that vibrate when your table is ready. As we waited we were able to walk around all the premises including Arcade, bouncy parks, bowling area, and the children's roller coasters ( for children 10 years and under). The ambience was dimmed and chilled for the evening. Although they have several Lego cities through out the restaurant, they're all blocked by tables and people eating. Once seated, we gave the order to our server and the non alcoholic drinks and food were delivered by the train. The alcoholic drinks were very sweet. (Too sweet for my liking). The food was really good! We had the fried chicken wrap and replaced the chips with fries and we had pizza. The pizza was amazing! Home baked, personalized, and crispy on the edges. It was perfect! So much stuff to do. We played games, took her on rides, and bowled too. The food was unremarkable. If it wasn't for the great atmosphere for kids, we wouldn't go again. The service was okay in the restaurant and just a little less than okay in the arcade because of the employees who clearly weren't enjoying their job. But...whatever. We ordered a variety of items from the menu which included burgers, pizza, chicken wings, nachos and a baked chicken dinner with mashed potatoes. Most of the dishes were average but the stand out dishes were the baked chicken with mashed potatoes, and the Flintstone size double burger was juicy and seasoned well - just outstanding! They also gave these non-alcoholic drinks for the kids that lit up. This is a great place to bring the kids and it is easy on the wallet. I have not been to Buffalo Phil's since I was a kid, and it hit the spot so many years later! It was great to have a nostalgic feeling meal. My friend and I came at peak dinner hours, so it was about 30 minute wait for a train service table (which we were totally fine waiting for). The train makes the whole experience worth it. Took the grandsons to Kalahari and this sounded like a fun place to go for dinner. We were seated immediately near the cool Lego village that the train circles to deliver the food. Grandsons liked their corn dog and fries kids meals, but they really loved the train service and the great Lego village. My turkey, bacon and cheese panini was ok. Didn't really care for the bun being just lightly toasted. I prefer a good bread, properly pressed and grilled. Side of broccoli was properly cooked and a great portion. The three star reflects the cool train table experience, but food itself is likely a 2 star. We arrived around 5 pm on a Saturday and waited about 50 minute for a train table. There was an arcade next to the restaurant, which was a good way to spend waiting time (bad way to spend money...) Not sure if we were so hungry or the appetizers were indeed good, cheese curd and chicken wings were all gone in a few minutes. Wings were juicy and smooth & sassy bbq was just right for me. However, main entree was very disappointing. Brisket + half rotisserie chicken were not good. Both meat were dry. Brisket was flavorless and not too much sauce to choose from. Rotisserie chicken felt like it was in the oven rotating forever. Coleslaw was also super super dry, making me feel like I was chewing salad. Fries were really good though. Burger was also not great. It was gray and dry. Chicken Alfredo was probably the best amongst the three. The chicken in it was juicer than the Rotisserie chicken. The train delivering food experience was one of a kind. I loved the ambiance of this place. Especially with kids, this is a fun place. Most (not all) of the food gets delivered in small trains. Menu clearly mentions what food can and cannot be delivered in train. There is even a train in the cieling. There is a lego city and other interactive exhibits, which can be operated with a quarter. Behind, there are tons of fun things to do including arcade games and jumping area. I stopped by on an evening. The wait was 40 minutes. The place was so much fun, I didn't realize how quickly 40 minutes was over. I was playing with the lego city and other equipments. Southwest chicken wrap was my main entree and it was good. The atmosphere was neat with lots to look at! The food was okay and came out fairly quick. However, our server, Tanner Z, was rude. I ordered the pulled pork, a baked potato, and broccoli. He asked, "Loaded baked potato?" And I replied, "Sure!" thinking that sour cream, cheese, and green onions were included. The restaurant is connected to an arcade area so there are kids running in and out of that if you end up sitting by the entrance to it. Our server was fantastic! His name was Ariel. We both ordered the flight of frozen margaritas. Glad I didn't commit to one giant one because they were so sweet but very good!! We tried huckleberry, mango, watermelon, classic lime, Granny Smith apple, peach, blood orange and strawberry. My favorites were Granny Smith and mango. Everything you order ( except for alcohol ) gets delivered by the train. The chicken kings were pretty good. The fried fish had soggy breading which caused the fish inside go feel mushy. This place has thought of everything! Arrived on a busy week night for dinner and was told it was a 40 minute wait for a train-side booth (or could be seated right away at a non-train table). Well, there are awesome LEGO designs to check out, there's a couple areas that you can pay to see a train move above your heads (I think it was 50 cents), they have an interactive map you can engage in while you wait, AND it's connected to 2 arcades to check out so 40 minutes flew by. We checked the menu ahead of time and knew what we wanted to order to make sure it all came by train. Our server was delightful and great about refilling our waters. I also loved that the train came by twice with bubbles just for the heck of it, which would be special for the families that didn't order much of anything by train so they could still experience it! The wait time was exactly that they seated us they were very prompt with getting beverage and apps to us our granddaughter loved the train delivering them . The old style log lodge building is very nice and open feel to it . It does get a little noisy but it's not bad . We went for dinner on Monday, April 13, 2026. The Lego sets are neat, but that is all they have to offer here. My wife and I ordered the New York Strip. Both were fatty, tough, and had no seasoning. The broccoli was almost raw with no seasoning, and the mashed potatoes were just weird. Our waitress, FATMA, was not attentive and did not come check on our table during our dinning. For us and the kids, the check was $138. Ouch! We paid in cash. We gave FATMA $160 in $20 bills and asked for change. She brought back a $20 bill and 2 singles. So she got a $2 tip. There's nothing worse than feeling pressured to tip. I usually tip 15% or more but I want it to be my decision. We will not return. The food and the service left a bad taste in our mouths. FATMA-that is a faux pas in foodservice. Hopefully a manager sees this and addresses it. read more

Decided to take the kids here for their last night on spring break. What a fun experience! The kids loved the decor and getting the food on the train. Plus the flashy drinks! Overall the food tasted good. No complaints. We came in earlier than a normal dinner rush so service was pretty quick. The only complaint I have is there was a drunk disorderly lady at the bar close by making a scene. I hope this isn't a regular occurrence since it's a family restaurant. The manager did apologize and give us a discount on the bill. We have been going to this location for over 15 years and after not going for the last 3 we decided to go again. They are a sister restaurant of moosejaw and had on tap some but not all of Wisconsin Dells Brewery. After noticing no taps I asked and was told they now only have the honey ale in bottles. Friends and my wife decided to order Michelob ultra they were out of stock. Luckily our table was ready in 20 minutes and we sat down to order food. People that ordered the rotisserie chicken were very happy. I was looking to get the fat man's barbecue, but noticed they don't have ribs so that was not an option. I then went with the Buffalo Burger with pulled pork. I have ordered this burger many times. This one was a bit on the dry side and tasted as if they put zero seasoning. I had to add salt and pepper to make it edible and a lot of bbq sauce. They use to have bottles of different bbq sauce to add to your pulled pork, but no more now you have to ask for a side of bbq sauce and it comes in a small container. I would give this 2.5 stars if possible just because of our server who was great. Overall if you're looking for a craft beer selection or good food go elsewhere. I believe she got the roasted chicken. Another got the margarita flight. They tasted like rancid candy. He asked for it to be taken away and they did. The flight is $20 the said they would comp us $10 because it looked like about half of the liquid had been drank. He did question it and was told they are there "for a profit". In the end after about 3 minutes of trying to make his point that the margaritas were rancid they agreed to comp the whole flight. They are attached to knuckleheads, the hotel and all that comes along with it. I am pretty sure all they do is make a profit enough that dickering over $10 would have kept me from writing a review.
