Cinnamon Roll + Fresh Squeezed Orange Juice
Brandon O.

Upon arrival to this location you are greeted by a cabin style restaurant with ample amount of parking. Immediately greeted by host and asked for preference of interior or exterior -- which is a covered patio with fans. Server approached us quickly and was extremely nice! All food came out just as ordered and the flavor was good. One food item that stood out to me was the cinnamon roll! I've never tasted another like that one -- I love the fact they make their breads in house, it was extremely soft and flavorful! Would recommend!

Loggers choice

Cute place. A little busy on a Sunday morning but that's not surprising. Great place for families. I had a strawberry mimosa. We also ordered a pot of coffee. For our meals we had Daybreak which was super simple, eggs, toast and meat of your choice - a perfect amount for me. My boyfriend had Loggers choice and went with the hash brown casserole which was yummy cheesy hash browns. Both meals were the perfect amount of food. I was expecting them to be overly large and they were just right!! We also tried the key lemon pie slice. It was really good - a different kind of take on key lime. We would have bought a pie to take home but we didn't want to leave anything in the car while we traveled incase it might melt too much. Maybe next time.

It was pretty busy when we got there. But we were sat right away. Our waitress was super nice. Even took the time to praise my daughter's drawing she was coloring. Food came out quickly and tasted great. Would definitely come again.

The inside has lots of seating! Menu is large and the portions were good. The food was served fast. The only item I was disappointed with was the cinnamon roll. While it was large, they don't use cream cheese frosting, they use the super sweet kind like that they use on pillsbury canned cinnamon rolls.

Chicken pot pie

I took out food from here on a Sunday noon. There were a lot of people waiting for a seat at that time. Chicken pot pie which was a Sunday specialty was really good. Egg prime melt with hash casserole was a a good breakfast item. Chicken Fried steak was another excellent item I had here. I also had a couple of pie slices. Pecan pie was my favorite. Coconut cream pie was really good as well.

Friendly, fast service and a clean, spacious dining area. A great spot for a hearty breakfast! My husband's favorite is the Log Cabin Nest ("egg-in-the-hole"). They also offer homemade breads, pies, and desserts -- we'll have to try those next time!

Fish fry with double order of hash browns which my brother prefers over french fries

Service was great. Food was excellent. I had a strawberry waffle. My brother had the fish fry. Both were great. This used to be one of my favorite restaurants in Wisconsin. Then the took away the incredible stuffed french toast. I begged them to bring it back. I would happily settle for twice a year as long as i knew when the dates were so i could drive there from the milwaukee area. The restaurant still ranks high on my list. Just not in the top 5. They have many many desserts-huge selection of pies. Restaurant is beautiful inside.

The log cabin has been a staple restaurant in the Baraboo community for years. They have had different owners since my husband was growing up, however, not too much has changed. This is a great every day spot whether you are looking for an after church meal, lunch with your family or a classic Wisconsin Friday night fish fry. They have a massive parking lot with tons of room. The service is always friendly and quick. The interior has a very rustic, woodsy vibe with lots of animals and it is completely log. They have absolutely delicious Gouda hashbrowns as well as amazing pies. We stopped here on Friday night over the holiday holidays after hitting up two other places that had over 45 minute wait. The log cabin got us in right away.

Perch fish dinner

This place was so adorable and the food was all wonderful!! I was looking for a place that had perch to take my grandparents. The inside decor is so cozy and cute, just like the name - it looks like a log cabin! They are a bakery so you have to save room for their pie! We all ordered the perch dinner and one of the bread options was a pumpkin loaf, which I thought was really cool! Of course I got that and it was so moist and delicious! Everything was fantastic. We got the pumpkin pecan cheesecake to top it off. It was to die for!

Whole pies are enormous. But a slice to go hit the spot

Way better option and choices here then at the Dells area for being 15 minutes away. So clean, easy to find, tons of options. Service was quick and friendly. Only minor setback, you can not customize any of the order. We wanted egg whites and were told they don't offer it.

Chorizo skillet, ham and cheese omlet, hash browns casserole and cinnamon role.

Great food here, but once I waited way too long for a short order. Staff seemed nice, and it was pretty clean here.

Very good. Had breakfast there twice. Place is always crowded and full. Local residents flock here because of the food and food service.

Family style, very comfortable. Loud of course so don't go during peak hours. I don't mind it. Service and food very good

Food was nothing to ride home about and was definitely overpriced. Service was slow. Cute spot right at the edge of Baraboo.

Warm, cozy ambience, great service. The pie was delicious. The ribs and smoked pork were tasty and tender. I would recommend.

Ask the Community - Log Cabin Family Restaurant

The website says there's outdoor seating? Is that true? I don't see that represented in any of the photos here. Thanks!

I didn't see where outdoor seating was available on their website. You can call ahead (608) 356-8034 and ask though. I honestly do not recall seeing outdoor seating when I parked. I did not walk around the cabin though.

Is breakfast served all day?

I know that the breakfast choices on the kids menu are.

I also took 2 cookies for later in the day. While i greatly enjoyed the breakfast i was disappointed in the peanut butter cookie. It wasn't fresh. It looked delicious and i was hopeful but it was hard and not pleasant to eat. Maybe it just had been in the cookie jar too long. I mean it is a bakery and cafe and should be fresh. Their easter cookies and pies in the display case looked AMAZING. I wish i had chosen one of tbose. Anyway, i would go back for breakfast and for pie or maybe one of tnose beautifully decorated easter cookies. But the peanut butter cookie - i will pass on that. Staff were very nice!

Wonderful small town place to stop for a slamming breakfast sandwich, frozen pizza or sweet treat…read moreto go. The menu is pretty extensive and they serve breakfast all day. A favorite dish seems to be the Alaskan waffle which is topped with ice cream, chocolate syrup and whipped cream. We ate breakfast here and have stopped in a few times just to pick up some bakery items. We love the banana cream pie cup, lemon curd bread, turtle lava cake and chocolate covered Twinkie's. Service can be slow (by Milwaukee/city standards) but everything is served hot and to order. There is typically one waitress working too so keep that in mind. Cash payment is preferred and there is a small surcharge for credit card purchases. They have weekly bingo games and you seat yourself if you want to dine in. This is a breakfast / lunch spot as they are not open during dinner hours. Definitely worth a stop if you are in Adams County or camping at Roche-a-Cri state park nearby.

The service was incredibly friendly, and amazingly fast, given we had a larger order and the place was fairly busy. There were plenty of options; from drink options/flavors, to bakery and breakfast items, etc. If you can't find something to order, that is completely on you because the choices are plenty. We opted for a couple of seasonal lattes, which were, unfortunately, very lacking in flavor. I typically order my coffee drinks half sweet, but this particular day I was wanting something sweet and flavorful so I skipped that directive, and was still disappointed. Bakery items and other drinks were good. There was some sort of market happening in the front of the store, which could have caused for more crowding/chaos elsewhere, but overall it felt like there was a lot of "stuff" everywhere. The seating area seems really crowded, but also didn't appear to have been cleaned in a while. There was a messy desk back by the bathrooms, and while I understand this is probably a busy work area for someone, it all just made me feel a little stressed out. Not a place I would feel relaxed to complete any work.
