This is the place to stop if you are leaving Devil's Lake! We had a lovely meal here on our way out of town. The entire restaurant is decorated with detailed wood carvings of bears, eagles, and other log cabins features. We had excellent service and picked up a pie for my mother in law because the slice we had impressed us so much!

Upon arrival to this location you are greeted by a cabin style restaurant with ample amount of parking. Immediately greeted by host and asked for preference of interior or exterior -- which is a covered patio with fans. Server approached us quickly and was extremely nice! All food came out just as ordered and the flavor was good. One food item that stood out to me was the cinnamon roll! I've never tasted another like that one -- I love the fact they make their breads in house, it was extremely soft and flavorful! Would recommend!

Soup station 10 ft away from us and waiter brings out the soup 10 minutes after dinner served.

Terrible service. Our waiter was honestly the worst waiter I have ever dealt with. After about 10 minutes of waiting, he comes to take our order. There were five of us. I ordered the French onion soup, and the others ordered entrées. I asked him to bring me a small plate as I was not really hungry and I would try some of my wife's dinner. He came back with all four entrées. Event tells me he'll be right back with my soup and plate. He disappears for a solid 10 minutes. We were seated right across from the service station. I see him walk up to the soup warmer put some soup in a bowl and top it with some cheese. He walks over with the so-called French onion soup, which look like slop, put it on the table and starts to walk away. No apology. I stopped him and told him I thought my soup was being prepared the traditional way and that's why it took so long. I asked him why couldn't he just bring the soup over in the first place? Looking bothered, he tells me he was busy. The soup warmer was literally 10 feet away from us. I told him to take the soup back. He grabbed it said OK and walked away. As others have mentioned, terrible service and mediocre food, not worth the trip down from the Dells. I've been coming here for years, but won't waste my time anymore.

Cute place. A little busy on a Sunday morning but that's not surprising. Great place for families. I had a strawberry mimosa. We also ordered a pot of coffee. For our meals we had Daybreak which was super simple, eggs, toast and meat of your choice - a perfect amount for me. My boyfriend had Loggers choice and went with the hash brown casserole which was yummy cheesy hash browns. Both meals were the perfect amount of food. I was expecting them to be overly large and they were just right!! We also tried the key lemon pie slice. It was really good - a different kind of take on key lime. We would have bought a pie to take home but we didn't want to leave anything in the car while we traveled incase it might melt too much. Maybe next time.

It was pretty busy when we got there. But we were sat right away. Our waitress was super nice. Even took the time to praise my daughter's drawing she was coloring. Food came out quickly and tasted great. Would definitely come again.

All of the food and service was excellent!! I would recommend this place to anyone going through the area!! And very good music and the vibe was just excellent! 10/ 5 stars!!

The inside has lots of seating! Menu is large and the portions were good. The food was served fast. The only item I was disappointed with was the cinnamon roll. While it was large, they don't use cream cheese frosting, they use the super sweet kind like that they use on pillsbury canned cinnamon rolls.

I took out food from here on a Sunday noon. There were a lot of people waiting for a seat at that time. Chicken pot pie which was a Sunday specialty was really good. Egg prime melt with hash casserole was a a good breakfast item. Chicken Fried steak was another excellent item I had here. I also had a couple of pie slices. Pecan pie was my favorite. Coconut cream pie was really good as well.

Friendly, fast service and a clean, spacious dining area. A great spot for a hearty breakfast! My husband's favorite is the Log Cabin Nest ("egg-in-the-hole"). They also offer homemade breads, pies, and desserts -- we'll have to try those next time!

Fish fry with double order of hash browns which my brother prefers over french fries

Great food here, but once I waited way too long for a short order. Staff seemed nice, and it was pretty clean here.

Very good. Had breakfast there twice. Place is always crowded and full. Local residents flock here because of the food and food service.

Food was nothing to ride home about and was definitely overpriced. Service was slow. Cute spot right at the edge of Baraboo.

The website says there's outdoor seating? Is that true? I don't see that represented in any of the photos here. Thanks!

I didn't see where outdoor seating was available on their website. You can call ahead (608) 356-8034 and ask though. I honestly do not recall seeing outdoor seating when I parked. I did not walk around the cabin though.

    Is breakfast served all day?

I know that the breakfast choices on the kids menu are.

The hours are very minimal so we want to make sure we got there early. We didn't know how busy this place would be but we came in mid-afternoon and the menu was absolutely appetizing from what they offered I was immediately interested in their sweet and savory barbecue sandwich. My wife got a soup, the staff was very nice in accommodating and professional throughout the entire visit. They checked in on us and make sure we had water, they engaged in conversation with us , and they take pride in their menu. They offered a Pay It Forward program which was pretty cool to see and they even sell some books too. The food here is also very well priced and affordable. Our meals were absolutely delicious and it filled us up for the rest of the day. This place offered a really clean restrooms and his restaurant was really clean. We got a muffin for us to share and it was absolutely amazing there's parking on the property right next door highly recommend checking this place out this was the highlight of visiting Baraboo Wisconsin

The staff here are so nice, and every time we try something new it doesn't disappoint. The desserts here are a must, they do in fact taste as good as they look. Cute/relatively small dining area, but it feels homey and quaint. Next time we are in the area we will be making a point to swing through for another meal!
