This McDonald's changed my life forever (for the better). I ordered a whopper and when I tasted it the flavor exploded in my mouth, it almost felt like a bomb went off. The food is always what you'd expect from McDonald's; overpriced, greasy, and a few rungs below mediocre. What stands out about this particular location is the consistently substandard service from Woburn's most vacuous fast food employees. A simple order, a large iced coffee with no liquid sugar, can dumbfound even the brightest of this location's employees. It's never a simple order with the drive-thru menu screen often flickering between "lg black" to "no cream" to two, sometimes three, iced coffees appearing on the display before completely starting over. Even via mobile app, the ice cold bean juice given at the window either lacks cream or is overindulged with the aforementioned liquid sugar. I'm not writing this review based on one bad experience or one fumbled early morning order. This is an ongoing experience. Time and time again I've driven away completely flustered and swearing to never return. So, why do I? I love the McCafe. It's delicious and fairly affordable. Not to mention this is the nearest McDonald's within six miles and as you probably know, six miles is an eternity in the great state of Massachusetts. The Woburn McDonald's drive-thru is something you have to experience to truly appreciate. In addition to a lack of order taking skills, patrons can also catch a glimpse into the day to day lives of Ronald's most capable burger-flippers and till jockeys. Just this morning, while I was trying to straighten out my overly complicated iced coffee order, I got to eavesdrop on a conversation about how "this is bull$#!+" and someone doesn't even "give a +#%!". This McDonalds has some of the worst traffic I've seen. During lunch the drive-through can take 1/2 hour. It is frequently faster to drive from this McDonalds to a different one and use THEIR drive-through, rather than waiting here. McDonalds is supposed to be fast and cheap. Food is usually warm and cheap. Only downside is the parking lot/drive thru is a nightmare. They have a weird hook in the drive thru for one lane but have 2 monitors where they can take your order and only use one to take orders. They say to pull up to the next monitor to place order. What is the point of having 2 if you're not gonna use it. Of my 30 minute break from work, I spent 16 minutes sitting in the drive through. Definitely not FAST food anymore. read more

Ordered a cheeseburger. It had ZERO taste. The height of it was less than an inch ...the beef patty was flat & the size of 4 quarters & twice as thick. . I took 2 bites. I coujd not believe there was absolutely no taste and took a second bite to make sure I threw it away as I woujd not waste calories for something so bad. Big shoutout to the guy taking orders at 1am. After the Wendy's next door rejected us a minute after closing, these 24/7 Golden Arches saved the day. With a dozen cars constantly in line, we could hear the unphased, friendly and upbeat employee taking orders over the speaker and soon realized he was standing outside greeting people and taking payment. Line moved quickly and food was warm. Free entertainment as people shouted out their windows at each other over whose car was in line first. Fries perfectly crisp and salty for munching on the drive home. Nuggets and McChicken hit the spot and Quarter pounder was inedible. The manager, who I've had major problems in the past, is here today, sitting in a booth with another worker while the girl behind the counter, just as discourteous, can barely take care of customers. We were visiting from other state and arrived at very late, McDonald's was the only choice to grab something to eat at 1 AM on Saturday. We saw huge line in drive through, line barely moved. Went to the drive up at this location. I had seen the add for their new chicken sandwiches but of course they did not have them. I ordered a crispy chicken instead a small order of fries and a chocolate frappe. I hid the trifecta for terrible the chicken sandwich was smothered in some kind of sauce with lettuce and tomato which looked like it had been sitting around awhile. The chicken was cold and soggy. Usually you can not go wrong with their fries ¨WRONG¨ the fries were ice cold not sure if they were even cooked at all ate one and gave the rest to the dog who would not eat them either. Usually a chocolate frappe has some thickness to it not this one was more like low grade chocolate milk. What really made me mad was I had just returned from a procedure at the hospital which had required me to fast for 24 hrs before hand. read more

I'm the duke because I'm a sucker for a coffee and sometimes an Egg McStuffy in the morning. I also enjoy the frequent buyer card for iced coffees that only this location honors, which is somewhat of a bummah. The restaurant went through a huge transformation over the summer of 2011 and recently was finally finished. I like the updated look but I also rarely eat in there and instead take everything to work. I believe there is free wi-fi although don't quote me on that. The flat screen TV's tuned to CNN most of the time are a nice touch. 4 stars instead of 3 BECAUSE of the remodel. The drive thru here is super impressive......they have a conveyor belt that sends the food to the other side of the restaurant from the kitchen. This is crucial for the 24 late nights, I've been here before at 3 AM and the line can get ridiculous so efficiency is a must. I also hate that they only have a "late night menu" and jack up their prices. But if you're stupid enough to eat a Big Mac before bed when you're craving a Southwestern Style Chicken Sandwich that they might not offer instead, then there is no hope for you anyway. These reviews about getting the wrong change back are pretty ridiculous. Only an idiot wouldn't actually count their change PRIOR to leaving a restaurant if you're unsure of it, or actually speak up to someone when it happens when caught.
