Vultures. My mom's 2012 Nissan Armada needed a new cradle, alignment and two rear tires. They sent her a bill for 11k and told her everything "needed to be replaced and new" even though everything else was working fine and had nothing wrong with it, for what they call "safety reasons." Two other shops looked at the vehicle, including another Nissan and said it wasn't necessary and the other pieces had nothing wrong with them- one shop just couldn't do it because it is a big job. They also charge double for tires. I paid their $170 for the diagnostics and had it towed to another shop who found the same cradle they wanted to charge me 1k for (not aftermarket) for $350, paid $1500 for the hands, $100 for the alignment and half the price for teach tire new! Employees of Nissan, do better. Ask yourself, would you spend 11k on a vehicle that's not even worth 11k? They are money hungry. That's why dealerships have a bad reputation for their services- and if your car is no longer under warranty, don't even bother taking it to them. The other Nissan quoted around 3500 for the job, just an fyi. So it's not even Nissan standard persay, it's just they want to rip people off because they saw out of town plates and figured, hey these people are stuck and need to get their car on the road so let's try to squeeze them for every red cent we can. Do yourself a favor and don't take your car here! There are other Nissan dealerships who stand on principles, this is not one of them. read more

Update (8/3/25): I received a phone call from the Service Manager (Glenn Hartley) requesting I bring the truck back in. We were unable to duplicate the sunroof noise but the tech pulled a code for the emergency braking system fault. A single code isn't enough to justify replacing parts. Unfortunately, neither problem is fixed and I didn't receive an explanation for what caused the fault. I've increased my rating to 2 stars because they're working with me trying to resolve my problems. I'll update the rating when my issues are actually resolved. I purchased a 25 Frontier from this dealership a few months back but delayed posting a review until I had the truck serviced. The truck had a recall so I decided to take it in to have a few warranty issues addressed as well. The sunroof whistles at random times and I had a random fault in the emergency braking system which disabled cruise control until I restarted the truck. I have 3 video recording of the whistling noise. The service advisor wrote my concerns down, listened to my videos, and told me I'd be notified when it was ready for pickup. I received a text the truck was ready and decided to call to find out the status of each repair. I was told that they couldn't recreate the whistling noise so nothing was done. I asked what about the 3 videos and was told they don't matter. If the tech can't duplicate the problem, nothing gets fixed. Picked up the truck the next morning. The fault in the braking system wasn't listed on the receipt so I know they didn't look at it. I had to remove seat liner, floorboard liner, and service ticket placard from the truck. My seat had been moved all the way back and there were marks on the dash and inside of the windshield. They did complete the recall and replaced the locking lug nuts. read more

**DON'T DO IT! BUYER BEWARE! ** This dealership's employees are unresponsive and very unprofessional. I worked out a deal to purchase a vehicle from McDonough Nissan because TrueCar recommended. The sales agent Jessica Sopson, was quick to respond (via text) to an inquiry regarding a particular vehicle that I liked, but stopped responding once I asked for an out of the door price. After a few hours and no response from Jessica, I tried calling the number that she texted me from, but of course the number does not receive calls. I called the dealership because Jessica did not respond to my requests to get the out of the door price. That information is important to me because I live 3.5 hours away from the dealership. I wanted to prevent a waste of my time and fuel. I called the dealership and spoke with a guy that did not give out of his name upon request. He followed up on the request for the OTD request and sent it to me via text. Upon agreeing on the OTD price, I was told that the deal was wrapped up and that they would hold the car for me as long as I schedule an appointment the next day. I have screen shots to prove this. The morning of the appointment, at 0902 I was informed by text message that the car was still available, and that they wanted to make sure that my appointment was still confirmed. I confirmed the appointment. Not even 30 minutes later, I get a text message that simply stated "the vehicle has just sold". Mind you, I'm well into 2 hours on this 3.5 hour trip, so of course I called and the salesman did the old "we only hold cars if you paid a deposit" and "we have other cars on the lot that you can look at". TYPICAL CAR SALESMAN BEHAVIOR. In addition to submitting public reviews, I will report them to TrueCar, as I doubt that this is the type of behavior that their "certified" dealerships are expected to display. On a better note, I ended up purchasing a brand new car from a TrueCar certified dealership that I had a 10/10 experience with- Carolina Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram FIAT- where Deondre treated me how you should treat a customer that WILLING to paying THOUSANDS of dollars for a vehicle. I give McDonough Nissan a 0/10. I wouldn't purchase a popsicle from them if it were 200 degrees outside. I read the bad reviews before hand and had to learn the hard way. I have given this place several chances to provide a good experience but I have yet to get one. They have extremely poor attention to detail, they don't honor appointments for services they send you emails to come in for service. I received an email that my oil needed changing and to click here to schedule an appointment. So I did. So come in early so maybe I can still enjoy some of my day off (Monday) and I told the guy checking me in that I had an appointment. He said that doesn't matter because oil changes are first come first served. Of course it doesn't say that in the email asking me to schedule an appointment. The oil changed was advertised for $14.95. We'll see if they charge me that or do as they usually do and up charge it. This will be my last time coming here. I do not trust this place. They rarely reset the alerts on my car and never replace the oil change sticker in my window unless I specifically point it out. This is the worst dealership I have ever been to, they gave me a vehicle that isn't working properly, it has broken down while trying to report for the military resulting in me being late! I told them, they didn't care and keep giving me the run around saying that they're going to fix it and it's been over three months with nothing resolved. They sold a vehicle over 150k miles and didn't do a tune up so I now have to change all coil packs and spark plugs. I now have to get a lawyer to try to get my vehicle looked at and the vehicle has mold in it, which is making me and my child sick. I put down $3700 when I could've just bought a vehicle straight out! And DO NOT go to Godson to sell you your car, he screwed me over and keep ignoring my calls and even took off when I was at the dealership and claimed he'd return to help and NEVER came back!! I would give Zero Stars if it were possible. I just had the worst customer contact experience of my life. The Service Personnel at NissanMcDonough are the slimiest, lying, rude, nasty. In particular Adam Williams and the Service Mgr. I took it there for a warranty fix of a navi screen. They held my car for several days with NO follow up with me. I had to call several times to inquire about the status of my car. Adam says "I had dr's apptments, and other issues not related to my car." So this large company doesn't have a protocol to have SOMEONE keep you in the loop? (no) I heard so many lies from Adam regarding the quality and cost of repair. 1. He said if I take my car out until the part comes in that the Warranty Co would deny the CLAIM -LIE 2.His Mgr said the electronic part shipped by the warranty co is a "junkyard part" -LIE 3.They were trying to shake down the warranty company to pay more and then blamed the warranty co for CHARGING ME MORE a $600 "HANDLING FEE" because Nissan wanted to pad the bill to make up for the exorbitant cost they were going to charge me. My deductible was $300 and Nissan tried to extort $1900 from me and still collect the max from the warranty co. 4. When I called them out on their lies Adam threw the invoice at me. 5. When I left I had to pay a "Diagnostic Fee" (that was unnecessary) just to get my car out. 6. It was a small price to pay to learn a lesson.. Avoid this place like the plague... especially service dept. my car was shutting off I was told it was my negative battery cable. I was going to replace myself for 8 bucks. They told me if they didn't do the repairs they were going to charge me 200 for diagnostic. so I figured fine let them do it for the 98 dollars more that it would cost. when i went to pick it up the tried to charge my close to 600. then when i looked at the battery cable it was literally 2 bolts right on top. My review is solely based off the sales team, I had no experience with the service department. The first sales guy seemed like a good man. Super kind and enjoyable to be around. We found a vehicle we were interested in, but wasn't ready to sell. He gave us a price and said he would call us when available. He never called, so I stopped in a week later. Car still wasn't ready to sell, and the price was 7k different. This guy said he would call back, and never did. My brother in law worked in the car business for 10 years and I also worked at a dealership so I knew all of this was strange and unprofessional. After everything was done we drove the hour and a half home just for a warning light to come on and we read in the manual it wasn't safe to drive. This warning popped up as soon as we pulled in our driveway from the dealership. We also smelled a strong odor of gas coming from inside and beneath the vehicle. There is no way they didn't know this was an issue with the vehicle. They are supposed to throughly inspect it before putting it on the lot. We called, texted, and left messages and no one would get back to us which apparently is not an uncommon thing here if you read the reviews on yelp. We were told today from a different much more reliable dealership that the gas lines have two holes so it was leaking gas the whole time. $1,000 to fix it and we just got the vehicle literally 3 days ago. Also, when I finally got ahold of someone 3 days later, I was told by the general manager I could bring it in AN HOUR AND A HALF AWAY and they would look at it. I don't trust them at all now so I will not be doing that. Also other reviews say they took their vehicle back and they claimed to have fixed it but didn't. McDonough Service Department initially refused to take their coupon for the Advantage brakes and rotors with complimentary inspection. I was demeaned and told to go sit down by the Service Advisor who was refusing to listen to me and acted like the coupon I had was invalid and that the service would be 474 plus tax and that was it and it would be 249 plus tax for the rear to change pads and resurface the rotors. I eventually spoke with the Service Manager who did not take the coupon; he called someone and accepted it with a caveat that it would probably squeak. Unfortunately, he took the coupon, and my brakes were not squeaking when I arrived. After the brake job, my brakes are squeaking from front and back. The service department did not prepare the rotors by removing the film off as required, and the brake pads cut into the silver coating on the rotor. I have pictures. Both the service advisor and the service manager need to be terminated for their lack of professionalism and the potential of my safety being jeopardized my life with these brakes not being installed properly. Alarming to say the least, Brett, the Service Manager and the Lane Manager who I don't know his name getting upset because of a coupon and not providing quality service to a long-time customer of McDonough Nissan is appalling. I'm in Augusta having to drive a vehicle that's unfit to be on the road. I was shown pictures, but not of the damage that was on the car! Upon receiving the vehicle, i saw I had a broken headlight and a dent below the driver's door. The delivery service had pictures at the dealership proving the damage was done prior to pick up. After trying many times to reach the General Manager (he ignored my messages), I see I must pay for the damage myself, which is over $1000. I bought 2017 Chevrolet Tahoe LT from this dealership. I got 2 keys with my vehicle like it supposed to be. I figured 1 of the keys they handed to me is not for my vehicle. It is for 2018 Chevrolet Tahoe the dealership is selling currently. I talked with my sales person, and he has been telling me the bring the key back and you will get your spare keys. So I took half the day off and wasted 2 hours on the road and went to dealership. And guess what, they don't have my spare keys. What I also figured out the key they gave me is not even my original key either. So, I paid between 30K - 40K and get one after market key and one other car's key. Nobody even cares about that I have some other car's key that they are selling now. I called Nissan Corporate office, I called the dealership at least 30-40 times, I left a message to the receptionist at least 10 times but I can't get a call from the GM of this dealership. They are selling you a car and it doesn't even have any original key. They are not willing to make you an original key and send it to you. Who knows who has my original keys? They only care about you until you buy the car. After that you are on your own. Do not buy a vehicle from this place because if you have a problem, there is no way to fix it. They are the most crooked dealership I have ever seen in terms of service and maintenance. Went to have a warning light checked, they charge me nearly $200 since I wouldn't pay them $1000 to replace a sensor. I ordered the part and had it installed for less than $200. Not the mention they tried to tell me I needed $1000+ for other items that I literally had addressed not even a month before coming there. I know dealerships are typically higher than other shops but that was ridiculous to spent that much just for them to spend 15 min to diagnose a problem and attempt to charge you 5 times more to fix it. This dealership has the worst customer service I have ever seen. I would not recommend anyone going to this dealership. I visited this dealership twice for a test drive two weeks in a row. The first week we were told that the vehicle was at someone's home for a test drive okay fine I understand. Man I Hate this f..king place..One star is too good.. I purchased a 2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT from McDonough Nissan On June 16, 2022. Ryan Shinholeter was the sales consultant and assured me that the vehicle had been inspected thoroughly and checked out. The next day I found some unforeseen issues with the vehicle. I notified Ryan Shinholeter and was told to bring the vehicle back on Monday June 20, 2022 in which I did. I was told that they was taking the vehicle to Tire South to have the issues resolved. After keeping the vehicle all day it was return to me with the issues being unresolved. The sales man Peter McNeil told me that TIRE SOUTH didn't get a chance to look at the vehicle for some reason and that they will call me the next day when an appointment is set.(I Do Know That Tire South Did Inspect The Vehicle And Notified Them OF The Issues). So they lied to me. After receiving no phone calls from the McDonough Nissan Dealer I decided to call back and I talk to Coy Allen the sales manager. He told me that they ordered me two tires and when they come in they will call me back (which is a clear indication that they knew what was wrong with the vehicle cause if TIRE SOUTH never got a chance to look at the vehicle how Would they know that tires is one of many issues). That was on Wednesday June 22, 2022. I told him if I didn't hear from him by Friday I will be calling back. Friday came and No Phone call. I call back Friday evening June 24, 2022 and talk to Alex Deoliveira the Finance Manager. He told he would call me back after 10am Saturday when he talk to Tire South and I have not heard from him. Since then I have attempted to contact everyone that I have name in this message numerous of times. Now Im stuck with an expensive vehicle that I can't drive cause of repairs that is needed. So I took the vehicle to Calavan CDJR Dealership and was told that vehicle needed front and back brakes. The rollers was badly worn , an alignment is badly needed along with 4 new tires. I was like wow. So I decided to get a second opinion and I took my Jeep SRT to the same company that the dealership took it too!! I confirmed on Tuesday that we were still good before I made the 4 hour drive. One of the worst experiences I've ever had with a dealership. Took my vehicle in to have my brakes and rotaters replaced only to have corroded rusty looking parts installed on my car. Extremely dissatisfied and disappointed and I will never do business with this dealership again! read more

From my first call with Coy, I couldn't have asked for a better buying experience. Coy and Jimmy are the best car salesmen I have ever worked with. I am sure there are other good salesman at this top notch dealership but if you get the chance, ask for Coy or Jimmy. They are both excellent. After they helped me find the right vehicle for me (2018 Rogue), I met with Randy to take care of the finances. He did an excellent job of explaining everything and getting me out quickly. Before I left, Cara, the delivery specialist taught me about all of the features. I think I would still be reading about the many features if it weren't for Her. I went to this dealership in January 20, because they had the vehicle I wanted at a reasonable price and the reviews were pretty good. I got to the dealership and was approached by Achim (who no longer works here). He was pretty friendly and engaging. We spoke about what I wanted and how much I was wanting to pay. I left that day with the vehicle and from what I assumed was a pretty good deal. A little over a week later 2 maintenance notifications came across the dash mentioning that the oil and brakes change was coming due. I called Achim to inform him of these issues. He told me to bring the car to the dealership and they would take care of it. I told him I would be up the next day, being that I stayed about a hour from the dealership. The next day I checked my back account and noticed my Down-payment check had cleared and that is when the service changed. I get to the dealership and speak with my salesman Achim. He proceeded to tell me that, because I brought a used car I purchased it AS IS , they aren't responsible to take care of such issues. I was blindsided and confused by this sudden change, since we spoke on the phone prior and I was being told I would be taken care of! Not exactly the way I thought I would be treated. After debating with him, how I did not have the car for more than a week, it makes no sense to already have to pay to have a brake job and an oil change in the first week of purchasing. Eventually, the Service Manager Bret came, he let me know the brakes and oil change had been done, the mechanics there did not know how to reset the sensors. He then said he will have them check to be sure it was done. They check out the car and assured me it was handle. I hesitantly left. The next day I took the car to BMW of Macon to verify that these particular maintenance where performed and have the sensors reset, if it had in fact been performed. Like a dealership that actually values customers, they happily obliged, and informed me that these services had been done. They reset the sensors and sent me on my way, FREE OF CHARGE!!!! Thanks Matt of BMW of Macon! I was unaware that this was the least of my worries. Here I am, at a little over a month, the engine is making a weird thumping noise and vibrating out the blue. I took the vehicle to Nissan Of McDonough Service Dept and left it overnight, being that it was Sunday and the Service Dept was closed. I called the next morning to inform them my vehicle was there and what was going on with it. I received a call back from them letting me know what was the issue with the car. Motor and Transmission mounts are bad !!!! the Mechanic said he would look up the parts and get me a quote for the parts and labor for this particular repair. I asked the mechanics If this had to be paid by me. I was confused as to why I would be given a quote to pay for a repair on a vehicle, I purchased from this dealership just about a month ago. I had just put the permanent tags on this car. The initial payment has not even come due. I understand used cars have issues and a dealership can't catch all of the issues, however, the dealership can do what's right or at least take care of the customer!!!! This isn't 6 months to a year later this is just shy a month. I was basically told once again well you brought this car AS IS and this is the kind of issues you run the risk of having when you buy from Nissan of McDonough. I have purchased used cars AS IS from other dealerships and the car had issues; however, the dealership actually valued customers and rectified the issue without question or hesitation (Carmaxx of Warner Robins). I left this dealership upset, confused, feeling used, abused and violated. For this dealership to pass this off as if this is a regular practice of theirs, is quite concerning!!! I am now left having to find and pay someplace to repair this vehicle before making a single payment!!! WARNING If you are in the market for a quality used vehicle DO NOT go to Nissan Of McDonough! I'd be cautious that their practices for New car sales are the same! read more

I did not have a good experience here at all. Drove almost 2 hours away ready to buy a car, I scheduled an appointment the day before and was thrown around between sales people which was frustrating. After arriving I test drove the car and liked it. I came in for a listed price of 14,793 but when I sat down they had jacked the prices up to 16,700 AFTER my trade in of 1,200... after telling them my max budget was about 15,000 another person walked behind us telling our sales person to just "send them home" after that I was ready to walk out. Found another car that I will be purchasing. read more
