I came here at the end of a long, difficult and frustrating search for a competent, honest, friendly, and trustworthy dental clinic that would be in network with MetLife Take-along Dental Plan. I was encouraged when I saw that almost all of the reviews here are five stars. I have been a patient for nine months and have not been disappointed. The dentist, hygienist, and office staff are first rate. (I have seen a fair number of fifth rate dental clinics and the difference is clear to see). Their pricing in conjunction with my insurance is explained clearly, they do not attempt to upsell unnecessary procedures, my hygienist - Kim - is very pleasant and capable, the dentist treated me like a human being rather than a source of revenue, the office staff are always helpful. I've had my share of tough dental experiences--from painful fillings to a root canal--so even cleanings took courage. My misaligned jaw hasn't made things easier. Recently, I went through three crowns, another root canal, a filling, and a tooth extraction --major anxiety! Thankfully, Dr. Mac was incredible. He listened to my fears, helped create a plan, and guided me through every step. My fear is finally turning into trust and positive experiences. I am a terrible dental patient. I am scared and easily freaked out. Tears are not uncommon. Dr. Mac and Dr McEwen have both seen me and worked on my tooth. Most recently Dr Mac worked on me to replace an inlay that had cracked. I had the work done last Friday and appreciate the care and understanding they showed by giving me a level of sedation that caused me no stress and I'm sure made their work much easier. I have to go back in a few weeks to get the new permanent inlay, but so far....I would give them all a huge grateful hug. read more

I don't usually go to the Dentist office, but when I do, it's to this place. LOCATION: On the east side of Howe avenue between Northrop and Arden way. It's sort of tucked away from the street, but you can find it if you read the sign out front. DECOR: The grounds are incredibly well kept and the building looks like a wealthier man's vacation home. The front doors have to be 12 feet tall. Some of the ceiling tiles inside have full pictures and artwork on them which is cool. There are 2 large fish tanks and some comfortable seating in the waiting room. INSURANCE: They accept Delta Dental. My 2 bi-yearly cleanings we covered 100% STAFF: Someone knows how to hire because they have the best of the best working here. Friendly and warm and welcoming fit any business, let alone a dentist office. The conversation is good and they actually remember pay conversations. I get goodie bags filled with extra toothbrushes and floss to take home every time. EXPERIENCE: My overall experience is why i wrote this. They take care of you here and they actually care. Had an unbearable tooth ache and I just knew something was wrong. I called in, and was able to get seen the same day I called. Dr McEwen was able to fix my tooth with no problem - I wasn't even a patient yet! I turned into a patient after seeing the office and the atmosphere here. I'm so glad I went with this office! Probably the best people you want taking care of your teeth. The front office ladies, Sandra, Sandy, and Christina are ALL very sweet, pleasant, and super helpful! I just had a molar extracted yesterday by Dr McKewan junior and am thrilled to report that I experienced zero pain and zero anxiety during the before, during, and after. I am amazed. I have suffered from pretty high anxiety with all things dental offices for decades. I've had excellent dentists in the past but nothing like this. They know how to deal with anxious types and they do it beautifully, and the work itself also appears to have been perfectly done. I found the pricing to be very fair. read more

Over the past year I have been to this dental office for various cleanings and procedures. Everyone is pretty nice and friendly but communication has been unacceptable. I came in for one procedure after xrays indicated I needed it and the dentist surprised me with "actually you may need another procedure". I ended up needing the second procure which cost me more money. This should have been communicated to me while the dentist was reviewing my xrays with me originally. Billing has been a nightmare. I set up recurring payments with two cards and the office charged the wrong card and told me they wouldn't reverse the payment. With my last payment for the balance, they had 2 different card on file for me and instead of using one of the cards or calling to confirm that they could charge one of my cards, they called me when the payment was going to accrue interest and stated that they don't keep payment info on file so I needed to tell them that they could charge my cards. This was very confusing and disappointing as they had my card info on file for the past few months for my recurring payments. My experience here has been very bittersweet. Everyone is very friendly, helpful, patient, and accommodating. However, communications needs an improvement. read more

Fantastic dentist and staff. I broke a tooth and they were able to see me within 2 hours. And I was not a patient yet. Greg set me up with a temporary tooth and brace to stabilize my teeth before seeing if I needed a root canal and a crown or just a crown. He uses innovative methods to help his patients.
