Came to Szymanowski for a second opinion. Was told by first opinion we needed two stages of bracing. The Syzmanowski group said her jaw is young and will developmentally grow to allow for the teeth coming in. Sure enough X-rays 14 months later ended up exactly how they described. Now we are en route to only one stage of orthodontics in the future. This saved our child 1 full stage of hardware and associated pain. Saved us, the parents, a great big deal of money and appointments. They are doing the right thing. Hard to come by in today's world. They might not make as much as the orthodontist offering multistage interventions, but I bet they sleep with a sound mind. read more

"BEWARE" This Doctor will try to sell you a dream. Literally felt like a used car sales man scheme now that I went through with his recommend treatment which made my face look caved in and caused me alot of issues with eating and breathing. In total this doctor has cost me $39,000 and that doesn't include my pain and suffering and I'm still going through it. I am so upset that when I came to Dr. Szymanowski letting him know how unhappy I was and how depressed it made me, he did nothing but try to disregard how I felt and acting as of his work was valid. My whole side profile sinks down and back and now I've had to drive 1 hour and a half for two years trying to correct what's been done to me and I just want to let people know not to trust him he may cost you more then money. I just got my retainers yesterday and am super happy that my teeth are in the best place after almost 2 years. I had a cross bite, and I initially consulted with 2 places: an online invisalign treatment program, and a different dental office chain that I wanted invisalign to fix my cross bite, and both consultations told me it wasn't possible and that I needed braces. However, When I went to consult Dr. Damon, he took one quick look at my teeth and immediately told me I can do invisalign treatment EASY; I was stunned (in a good way). Of course, I got started right away. Every single time I visit the office it was always positive environment with all the staff and Dr. Damon is extremely good at what he does. I was in and out no more than 20 minutes every time. If you're in doubt about which orthodontics office to go to, don't even think twice and just go to this one. I love this place, Dr is amazing !! I would definitely recommend him to anyone I know. I'm giving 4 stars ONLY because when I got my braces removed my tooth got chipped and also one of my crowns got chipped. After I asked what happened to my teeth, the assistant told me that my teeth was already like that.. which I know is definitely not true lol Anyways now I have to go spend more money to get my chipped tooth fixed and a new crown because unfortunately I couldn't get the crown fixed anywhere, it needs to be replaced. I got my first round of braces from an orthodontist in the Bay Area. It was really cheap and I ended up paying for it down the line when my jaw misalignment was ignored. In college, I got braces a second time with Dr. S. He's really friendly, professional and personable at the same time. His staff is also excellent. He worked in tandem with my jaw surgeon to set up a prep plan and post op plan. I am glad I came here. My jaw is in great shape (it has been 2 years post op). I recently just finished my last appointment where I needed to do a final check on my retainer. All in all, you'll enjoy your ortho experience here. They're accommodating in every way possible (appointment changes, forgetting your toothbrush etc). I found another ortho in Sacramento, but my quote was 10k. I've been interested in getting braces since it didn't work out for me when I was younger. I went to a dental office for their free ortho consult and had a ridiculous experience. They wanted to charge me a large amount of money for the braces claiming a certain kind would work better for me which rounded out to a little over $9k AND suggested I need jaw surgery because of my "excessive overbite". Jaw surgery, if not covered by ins. can cost between 20k-40k. So, I kept looking and found Dr. Szymanowski and saw they offered a free ortho consult with x-rays and photos all included. I was a little skeptical at first, also since it was a private practice so I didn't know what to expect. First impression, very appealing office. Atmosphere is very professional and welcoming from front desk to the fancy coffee machine they have offering different beverages. Didn't take very long at all to be called back by Ms Darlene. Got a little tour of the modern looking office and then got my xrays and photos done. I was then directed to the consult room and Dr. came in shortly after and after introducing himself told me first thing first that I didn't need jaw surgery, which was a MAJOR concern for me. I was shocked and relieved. He gave me other non-invasive options on what I can do about my overbite and was so accommodating and really listened to my concerns. We went over the x-rays and he went into detail what he's looking at, wants to improve, and how the process will go. He answered all of my questions and seemed genuinely interested on my concerns/questions. You can really tell he cares about his patients and his work; I would absolutely trust him with my smile transformation. The treatment coordinator, Debbie, was amazing. So accommodating as well and she really cares and focuses on the patients and their needs. She was so flexible and really helpful with explaining the costs and options. I just about cried because I've been looking to get braces for years to help with my smile and I'm so glad I went and looked to get a more professional opinion and found this amazing office. I just had my initial Invisalign consultation. My interactions with all the staff members were great. Dr. Szymanowski, Darlene the treatment coordinator, and the lady who took my x-rays/pictures (sorry I forgot your name) were super nice and personable. The consultation itself was detailed and all my questions were answered. Price was what I expected- I'm using my maxed out FSA for the first year of treatment and then using my 2023 FSA for the remaining balance next year. My treatment is 20 months long. I was also recommended some general dentists in my area since I'm "new" to Sacramento, which was nice of them. Overall a great experience and excited to get some nicer looking teeth. read more

The entire staff is friendly and knowledgable, the office modern and clean, and Dr. Szymanowski himself is trustworthy, approachable, and takes the time to answer the various questions that you may have throughout your procedure. They also seem very good with kids and even as an adult patient I did not feel out of place. I specifically went for "incognito braces" (mounted behind your teeth to hide from view) and lined it up with jaw surgery as well (recommended in my case).
