It was afternoon, my husband was hangry, and out of curiosity for the funny namesake and the expediency of cheap quick food, we made a pit stop for a high calorie deep fried sugar coated snack. God bless America! Anyways, McHappy's had plenty of delicious donuts that weren't even a little stale - which is quite a feat for a donut shop later in the day. The interior of the building was a surprisingly cute fantasy vintage diner/drugstore/donut shop aesthetic with a heavy dose of Disney princess color palette. Apparently owned by adjacent Napoli's Pizza (they share a parking lot), there was one sweet elderly lady (somewhat hard of hearing) to attend us. Ten out of ten, highly recommend. Let's call this place McCrappy's..... Stopped by this place on our way back home for a sweet treat. The cashier was very friendly and did a great job explaining the prices, assortment, ect... Our Family Favorite donuts are cream filled longjohns peanut butter cream filled longjohns and glazed. We asked the cashier which ones were cream filled and purchased our 2 dozen for the road. (note they are all supposed to be cream filled!!!!! If you like dinner rolls with a dab of icing on top that's about what you'll get with these donuts Highly disappointed. The one with chocolate icing, the coconut, and maple are all supposed to be cream filled. You can almost see a hint of chocolate cream filling if you look close. The coconut only had a Dab of icing on top, and the maple , well that had the most filling. I recommend Beullers Grocery/Bakery in Coshocton, Ohio Darrell's or Donald's in Zanesville, Ohio or just about any other place than this one. Maybe we've been spoiled with the amount of cream filling in other donuts, but there was none in these. I don't even know if I could give these away. I'm sure gonna try. I liked that McHappys offered a variety of donuts to try. We had lots of questions about which were which since they were not labeled. We ended up trying 6 different donuts. I really enjoyed the cinnamon roll donut & chocolate cake donut. I wouldn't say there was anything amazing about this place but the donuts were delicious!! I've heard positive things about their muffins as well. No donut holes which we were really in the mood for! read more

Unfortunately I found this place to be overrated. They do not bake in house, rather everything is delivered (daily? I hope!) from a central bakery. In the case everything looks good. Giant sized pastries are hard to go wrong with. In practice though, the dinner plate sized apple fritter was disappointing as it lacked a crucial ingredient, APPLES. Seriously, for something that big there should have been a whole apple in it, not three or four dime sized pieces in the entire pastry. On the plus side, it's cheap, and right off the highway. It also has a drive through and ice cream, and sells "day old" bags of old donuts and muffins and such for the thrifty spenders. read more

Although this place does have descent pastries and donuts the lady working behind the counter was a downright evil B***H!!! She was so rude and unpleasant that I wouldn't come back here if the apocalypse came and they literally had the last morsel of food on the planet!!! Don't get me wrong, I don't expect everyone to have a bubbly attitude and cater to my every whim. Just don't act like it's a chore to answer a question or two and put a pastry in a bag!!! Owned by the same people as Napoli's, McHappys is a bakery local to the Mid-Ohio Valley. They were no Brownies, but pretty good regardless and better than any commercial Krispy Kreme or Dunkin' Donuts. read more

Cute place and considering there isn't much in the area, it's a decent option! We've been twice, hit or miss? I think if they sold fresh donuts, they would be great but they show u the fresh and then grab the day or two old ones for ur bag/box. I've been going to McHappy's since I was a little kid and am a huge fan. One of my favorite traditions in college, was stopping in with friends for donuts and hot chocolate/coffee before night classes. The coconut cream filled and peanut filled are my two personal favorites. While the shop itself is small, there are a couple tables if you want to sit and enjoy your sweets. The staff is always kind and attentive. I don't live nearby anymore, but whenever I get down to Marietta, I stop in for a half dozen. read more

To hot to drink coffee. Air conditioner has not worked since late last summer and it is terrible to make the employees suffer like they do in the heat. Not allowed to open windows due to no screens, they might let flies inside. March 23, 2011 and already 85 degrees. Quit going there for 15 years due to employee harassment.........Doesn't anyone have compassion for these people? read more
