I've been coming to this hospital for many years to visit doctors, have medical procedures, and visit others who are using the facility. I remember the old McKay and would say that this newer facility is laid out much better. I spend most of my time on the 4th floor, but my husband has recently been visiting the 3rd floor doctors. The pros of this facility are that they have a good mammography department that is professional, quick and efficient as compared to other "mobile" facilities closer to my home. I also like the fact that they have a "one stop shopping" configuration that make is easy to see everyone you may need at one location. To add to the allure, if you can call it that, they have a good cafeteria with many options to choose from. They also have a good fast food type option centrally located on the first floor, where you can grab a quick coffee or a snack. The cons include the fast food smell permeating throughout the facility that can be a bit disturbing at times, especially if you aren't feeling well. Also, the laboratory/registration area is a jumbled nightmare. If you need labs or need to register and check-in, it involves long lines with lots of standing, confused counter help who don't seem to know what you are there for, and a divided seating area that makes it difficult to hear them call you back because you may be seated too far away to hear them. Overall, I think this facility is the best in the local area.

The North entrance to the clinic/ department I enter through. Read my review and you'll get why I say "I walk in and walk right out."

Very nice Hospital. I had to cancel an appointment because I didn't follow the instructions provided: I'm sorry, I was going through withdrawal symptoms despite being consistent on my meds. But, that wasn't satisfactory so it was rescheduled to today, the 17th of July. Guess what? Cancelled, because I had eaten 19 hours prior to my appointment. I'm frustrated, it's my fault, which has nothing to do with the Hospital itself. It's a lovely Hospital even though I've only seen the hallway towards the Endoscopy Department and right back out. No worries, I'll suffer for my own mistake and get it right eventually. Oh! One more thing. PLEASE learn how to pronounce my name correctly. It's not, "MONA" it's "MOANA" like the Disney movie? Yeah, exactly like that.*smdh* And, "You're Welcome."

I had…read moreheard this hospital was small, but also that they offered a more personal, 1-on-1 experience. Since this was my last baby, I was really hoping for something better than my previous births with my other two daughters. Let me just say--it was the most amazing experience I've ever had. I was treated with such care, like a close family member was looking after me. The staff constantly checked in to make sure I was okay, explained everything clearly, and truly made me feel supported. My baby stayed in the room with me almost the entire time--only leaving briefly for a few necessary tests--and the nurses were kind, patient, and incredibly understanding. Honestly, it didn't feel like a regular hospital at all--it felt peaceful, warm, and focused on me and my baby. If you're on the fence about coming here, I say go for it. I 100% recommend this hospital--it was a beautiful way to welcome my last little one into the world.

A couple of years ago, I was in a terrible accident as we admitted to the ICU at Ogden Regional…read more Everyone was fantastic. So naturally, when I needed some specialty care via radiology, I assumed my experience would be similar. I was completely wrong. It is almost impossible to make an appointment, and when you do, you are required to wait at least 1.5 months to get in. Each time you arrive, you must check in with registration and fill out 22 pages of information-even if you were just there a few days prior. Nothing transfers, the same mistakes must be corrected each time and the receptionist does not care about your concerns. On top of the ridiculous paperwork, they tell you to arrive 30 minutes prior to your actual appointment, which means if you are prompt, you end up waiting an additional 30 minutes for no reason. The MRI techs are apathetic and question your decisions, i.e. I have severe allergies and declined a portion of the MRI due to allergy concerns. The tech and the receptionist had a conversation about me and my choices in ear shot of me and others in the waiting room. To make matters worse, I was given incorrect information about the scan. The scheduler told me no food for 8 hours prior to the scan, which meant I could not take my migraine medications prior to the scan. When I ended up with one of the most severe migraines I've ever experienced and had to stop the scan, the tech told me I could have eaten before and taken my medications. That sure would have been nice to know. When I stopped the test due to the migraine, the techs didn't ask me if I was okay, nor did they help me as I was dizzy and on the verge of vomiting. I sat completely alone in the locker room trying to regain my balance and get to my feet. When I did get to my feet, I was given directions to the front door, not even a question as to whether I would be okay to make it home. I've had several other MRI's prior to this one and have never been treated with such disrespect or apathy. They clearly do not care that someone under their care is experiencing a medical issue. I cannot believe the difference between in-patient and out-patient care at this hospital. Now, I am trying to reach radiology to schedule a procedure appointment. I was promised a call days ago and when I call now, I am directed to voicemail and no one calls me back. I will be looking for another hospital.

From the moment he walked in, he was calm, attentive, and genuinely present. He didn't rush, he listened carefully, and he explained everything in a way that actually made sense--something that's rare in such a high-stress environment. What stood out most was how much he truly cared. I felt seen, heard, and respected, not just treated like another case. He not only listened, but also provided helpful tools and advice with no judgment, which made a meaningful difference. His compassion and professionalism made a difficult situation so much easier to handle. I also want to recognize the incredible nurses and staff. They were kind, patient, and attentive throughout my visit, making sure I was comfortable and supported every step of the way. Their teamwork and compassion truly stood out and made a lasting impression. Dr. Joshua White is, without a doubt, the best doctor I've ever spoken with. If every ER doctor and team approached patients this way, the entire healthcare experience would be transformed

In December of 2019 I visited the Intermountain Healthcare emergency room. While in the care of the…read morestaff, doctors and nurses I spent over two hours in a private room with very few visits. When I was visited by the attending physician, Dr. Nelson, his demeanor was very unprofessional, confrontational, and distrustful. I was diagnosed bipolar 2 disorder in 2018 and was between residences for several months before I moved in with family in Provo, Utah. With no established medical care in a new, unfamiliar area, I felt I had no choice but to visit the ER due to extreme depression and to make sure I was able to stay on stabilizing medications. I visited the emergency room to get an emergency refill on a non-narcotic prescription I have taken for years that I have been told not to stop taking because of its life threatening side-effects. I recently acquired my medical records from my visit at Intermountain Healthcare. After careful review of the documents, I have found that Dr. Nelson lied about me on my medical records and his unprofessional behavior in the emergency room was discriminatory and based on a diagnosis that I do not have. I asked to have my Lamictal prescription refilled as it is necessary to maintaining my mental health. He put in my medical records that I hadn't been taking it and he "advised against restarting it". I had not stopped taking it. I needed a refill because I was almost out and having a very difficult time. He told me to stop taking a life saving medication cold turkey. If I had stopped taking it cold turkey as he suggested, I would have been even more depressed, psychotic, and would possibly have seizures as well. If anything, he should have referred me to a physician who could help or sent me to an emergency mental health hospital for acute care. Dr. Nelson is not a psychiatrist. In my chart, he wrote in an diagnosis for borderline personality disorder and claimed my behavior (being upset about not being able to have my life saving medication) was due to this disorder. He also claimed that I changed and fabricated my stories while I was there, implying in my chart that it was due to this disorder (one I do not have). I was not visited by a staff psychologist, social worker or other doctor who could have advised him on such a diagnosis. I have since received follow up care and I am feeling better. I don't have BPD. I have never been diagnosed with BPD. I have bipolar 2 disorder and OCD. His uninformed diagnosis reduced the quality of my care by other attending physicians and nurses. The treatment I received at the hands of Dr. Nelson left me feeling even worse than I had felt when I came in to the emergency room. He stated that I have BPD in these records and to my nurses to invalidate my feelings and reactions to what happened. This is blatant discrimination and disgusting behavior from a doctor. I am concerned about the other patients that Dr. Nelson is seeing. If he treated me with such unprofessionalism based on a diagnosis that had no basis, he most likely treats other patients the same way or even worse. *Copy of the complaint email I sent to Intermountain Healthcare I DO NOT recommend visiting this hospital. I especially do not recommend seeing Dr. Nelson.
