I don't normally leave negative reviews, but some things should be addressed. I was parked in front of this establishment while it was closed. I was in my car waiting for my 8 year old son to finish boxing next door. About 20 minutes later, a woman comes to my window and rudely asks if I'm paying my registration- to which I reply "umm no?" I could barely hear her as my window was closed. She then gave me a dirty look and said I needed to my car if I wasn't. I got out and noticed she placed a makeshift handwritten sign in front of my car that said "McKee's parking only". I understand parking is tough here, but a little kindness goes a long way. I had my 4 year old daughter in the car waiting with me and this woman's demeanor scared my daughter. I had to explain that some people don't have manners and only know to be rude. Had she just asked nicely or explained that her business was now open and needed the spot, I would have gladly obliged. I guess this is what's to be expected when people can't be trained on customer service or common decency. I want to be clear that the business was closed when I arrived and parked. She placed the sign there after about 20 minutes of being there. I had the sun shade on my car as me and my daughter were sitting in the sun. read more

For the most part they are good and fast to work with, however they do charge for using a credit card/debit card and do not take checks. This is not mentioned on the website and when you go into the office these is sign that states there is a charge for credit cards but does not mention debit cards. I mentioned this to the office and she was very rude and stated she does not make up the rules, I agreed with her and let her know she is a representative of the company and unfortunately she is going to have to hear it. I mentioned the sign for CC payments charges but also indicated to her it does not show debit card charges in a very smart a_ _ tone she pointed to a small print out of all charges for their service, you could hardly read the charges. I don't know about most people but I don't carry around large sums of money, so I had to pay a service fee. This information should be on their website and the employees should be nicer when working with customers, the employee was very rude and condescending. I can say it is convenient however the fact they charge for use of cards or only take cash should be advertised. I don't understand the charge for cards, I know why but this is also a write off for a business when the bank charges the merchant for use of cards, the business can write off the fees on their taxes, it a business expense. read more

Do not do business with this company. In may 2022 we into the office ask if they could register a golf cart. The girl that work there at the time said yes they can register my golf cart. If they could not get it registered she and the company would refund the service fee of 80.00. Well they could not get it registered. So I went to dmv got it done myself. Got it registered and plates. I called today the girl said the girl that told me that doesn't work here anymore. And will not refund any monies paid. Do not do business with these people. read more

Two weeks ago, I walked into McKee's and after I gave them all my information, they told me there was no record of my vehicle in their system. Not by VIN, plate, anything. They said it could be a system error and try again another day.. I went to another satellite DMV and they found it with no problems. I understand things happen sometimes so I didn't bother with a review until today when I called McKee's 45 mins before I referred my girlfriend to go there. She walked in 15 mins before close and was told the system was down and there was nothing they could do. They also told her if she didn't pay today it would be late and a fee would be assessed but the form from the DMV clearly states the due date 3 days from now. Either they need to update their clearly faulty system or adjust their hours bc it seemed like they were just trying to go home for the day! Both are unacceptable reasons when running a business. I always try to support local business and of course avoid the DMV but I won't go back to McKee's. Two unproductive experiences, back to back. Never again. read more

Went in a couple of weeks ago and was taken care of by a older white women and a tall Russian guy. Who tried to help me for 15-20 mins. Clearly they did not know what they were doing and the Russian guy ( which I suppose is the new owner) kept talking over the Older white Women. Then someone else came to help and she was able to explain everything to me. Gave me an estimate of my services and told me they are now charging $34 for a registration. I walked out and went down the street to ARS and got helped and was out in 5mins. Horrible untrained staff and super rude owner. Never giving them my business again. ALSO ARS was cheaper since their posted fee was the actual fee and they didn't try to add hidden fees.. McKees use to be my Go-to for registrations by their lack of training and hidden fees have turned me away. read more

Ive been going to Mckees for years for my husbands company and frankly i am disappointed. The service has declined over that past year to the point of no return. I will be taking my service elsewhere. The bald guy doesnt seem to know anything when he is there and when he isnt there his wife or whatever is actually very unprofessional. I came to this place not to long ago and I have to say I was provided with the WORST customer service I've ever received in my whole life! The girl in the front was so rude I was baffled! I don't understand why someone would choose to work with people when they act like they hate everyone so much! She made me feel stupid for asking a simple question! It was so belittling. I usually come to this place because it's fast and easy. I've never had a bad experience here until today. The young lady who helped me was extremely rude. I'm a very nice and respectful person so I'm not sure why this girl felt the need to be so mean to me. She literally tossed my registration back to me when I said I would go online to fix my suspension. The whole time she gave me attitude. She made my whole experience so uncomfortable. I needed to clarify some questions but I felt so uncomfortable to even go back in there :( I was so bummed out because this is my go to place and now I have to find somewhere else but I'd honestly rather wait at the DMV then to be treated like a piece of trash. Unfortunately, I did not give them my business as one of the gentlemen who worked there did not seem to think he should be wearing a mask while having multiple people working on his side and coming in and out of the business. I only went here because the DMV is closed. I appreciate this business opening and am going to support small businesses all the way. I felt the service I got was not good, the person who helped me was extremely rude. if that bothers you, choose another place. if you just want to get the service you went in there for done, and dont need the pleasantries a business wanting to STAY in business should have...then this place is fine for you as it was for me. I gave it a 3 star just for being open and because I was able to PAY my registration. I wasnt able to leave with my sticker because they have been so busy (again dmv's closed) and ran out of them. I don't know if they changed owners but the blonde lady today made me think it's not the same place. I used to go there a lot but after today waiting 10 minutes behind 2 people the lady knew I was next because when I first walked in I stepped up to the counter and she rudely said someone else is here but outside so I said ok and backed away. BAD PLACE FOR MILITARY SPOUSES*** They are not servicing military spouses!!!!! I went with my wife to re register her car, when I asked for the military exemption the first response was oh we dont offer that then another lady in the back said yes we do but only if the member is on the registration. So I pulled the dmv policy stating the member OR the spouse needs to be a registered owner and they still refused to do so blaming the training they received yet not havi g anything to reference. read more

I've been coming to McKees for a while now. I've recommended so many people to this place because they're usually polite and respectful but my experience today was terrible. I'm not sure if they're under new ownership but the customer service really went down hill. I was treated so badly and after reading the reviews I can see I'm not the only one! I went to ARS down the street and they were great! I will not be coming back here anytime soon and regret recommending anyone to come here! Steer clear of McKee's unless you're ready for a snobby attitude and constant eye rolling. ARS down the street is far more professional and very respectful! I just moved and changed my address which means I didn't receive my registration renewal in the mail as per usual. I stopped in here to take care of it. The staff was pleasant, friendly, and efficient. They are also open earlier than most business offices, 830am. This definitely factored into my decision to come here. They had me in and out. McKees sucks. dont support that businesses if you plan on spending hundreds plus extra that the "DMV" charged. we payed all our fees and still payed money EVERY visit we went. walked in three times and payed fee after fee after fee. not cool! we wanted 2021 tags and got 2020 tags when we are about half way in through the year. smh. read more

Let me start off by saying that I was EXTREMELY stressed out when I went in to Mckee's (ten minutes before they closed) on a rush situation due to my newly purchased bmw being towed. Beatrize was AMAZING! Not only did she greet me with a friendly smile, but she worked quickly and efficiently in order to get the title transferred in my name ASAP so that I could rush back to the tow company to get my car THAAAT night before I incurred another nightly charge for storage. ALL OF THE LADIES IN THE OFFICE WERE FRIENDLY AND KNOWLEDGEABLE REGARDING THEIR BUSINESS! Which will obviously make doing business with this company run smoothly and efficiently and that is why I will use them in the future to handle my dmv/vehicle documentation needs. Paying a little extra to not have the headache from sitting at a DMV all day and having the confidence that all necessary documents will be completed and submitted at once and on the first visit is a big reason why I'd choose them in the future. The worst service I've ever received. Promised a 4 day turnaround, but it took 4 weeks. Pushed to voicemail when called, and didn't get a response from text message. Explained to them they didn't provide the service they promised, and they still refused to refund my $55 they charged me as a fee. Tiny dirty office with only customers wearing masks, even though it's now not only a county, but statewide ordinance. Avoid this place, apparently it changed owners. read more

I went in today around 4:25 I figured i would try this mom and pop shop and use their services for an urgent matter, for there and followed their directions on social distancing, this was all new to me I had never dealt with something like this before so I figure if there were any issues they would tell me, so I'm standing outside and one of customers looks back at me and just moves her fingers for a no so I'm wondering why she is telling me that? I would assume an employee would tell me something but nope they waited until someone got out to tell me at 4:30 they close but I had been there since 4:24 and had been told they were closed once they closed at 4:30 like could have said you close earlier than that, should change your time to whenever you feel like closing cause that's what it seems like, I'll definitely won't be coming, it was first and last time I'll be there for sure.
