The cost was an exorbitant $83 and I went back to SENIOR HELPERS and after a week I still didn't have a work schedule. I came here this afternoon to get fingerprinted for my notary recommission. You have to park amongst the used cars at a dealership, then as you walk toward the opening, you see a sign that reads "Livescan" with an arrow pointing to the left. I went to the left and the employee directed me to the right, and that's when I noticed another arrow about a foot from the left arrow instructing people to go straight ahead. Annoying. When I walked in, there was one other person ahead of me which wasn't too bad. The office is small, cluttered with U-Haul dollies and furniture protectors. The lady who took care of me said she'd only been on the job two weeks. She was super nice. She did give me the incorrect form, and I actually needed to contact a notary company (twice) to ask about the correct form so the lady could pull it and give it to me. Prior to my call, the supervisor was called in to assist us, then she told me if I found out the form was incorrect or the coding on it was incorrect, I'd have to pay again...I'm sorry, WHAT!? I told her that was ridiculous. Thankfully the form/coding were both correct, per my conversation with the notary company. I think the supervisor should train her employee better and see to it that forms are organized/labeled so as not to delay the process for the client or those waiting. FYI, if you're an independent notary and it's your first recommission, you have to bring the Livescan application (download from Google) to the office because I guess not every livescan office provides them. read more

$79.00, $2.00 credit card fee, $74.00 cash (Is this legal?). $25.00 rolling fee, $49.00 DOJ/FBI processing. I needed fingerprints for Real Estate exam $60.00. Outrageous isn't the word. I'm upset, feel robbed. The location is diffulcult. Justin was nice enough (I joked he looked high). The City of La Mesa charges a $20 roll fee in addition to the Department of Justice (DOJ) fee of $32 and Federal Bureau Investigation (FBI) fee of $19. To process live scan fingerprints, a Request For Live Scan Service form is required and may be obtained from the requesting agency. I DONOT recommend this place. The La Mesa PD are around the corner, easier to find, cleaner, more parking and a couple dollars cheaper. According to the CA consumer protection board it is illegal to charge for use of a credit/debt card. It's not the easiest place to find granted, the staff make up for it by being exceptionally flexible and funny. I've used them for U-Haul only, and enjoyed my time that I have spent in our deals not very often that you say you enjoy and we'll go back to a business because of a person's attitude. And most of our views those are the places that I frequent. And I will frequent this place again if I need another U-Haul or require Live Scan or any of his other services. Walk-ins welcome, open till 6, got a $2 discount off the live scan itself (instead of $20 [or more] I was only charged $18), there was no line when I got there so I was helped right away and the owner (Sam) was nothing but nice.
