After that, I was left waiting for over an hour with no updates. When the doctor finally arrived, he was dismissive, defensive, and showed a complete lack of respect or compassion. As the receptionist reads me the date and time, I enter it into my phone and repeat it back for confirmation. Showed up yesterday to my appointment and they tried to tell me that it was not at the time I had in my phone and when I told them it was the date and time I read back to them 6 months ago, she insinuated I was a liar and said she would never make if for that time because it's 30 minutes before lunch (their cleanings typically only take 30 minutes). Needless to say, they would not take me and expected me to take time off work to drive back out there another day. I asked them to have the doctor call me before the end of the day. He did not. I can only assume my family's money is not needed there so I guess we'll be giving it to another dentist that doesn't call its long-time patients liars.

You should be able to do more for the pain. That's what pain killers are for. I should not have to go through all this just to get a little bit of comfort. I don't know what's going on but pain killers are for people that are in pain. That's why they are made. Just because some people decide to kill themselves by being stupid with drugs that they aren't supposed to take doesn't mean I should being going through all this. Let the people that need what they need get what they need. Less so with the staff who tried to upsell me on something; I don't even remember what that was anymore, but Dr. Musso confirmed I didn't need it. Happy with the dentist, I made an appointment to come back for a 6 month cleaning and checkup with her. Towards the end of my cleaning today, I'm told that a different dentist will come check my teeth. Dr. Musso is at different office now, and I may be in the minority, but when I make an appointment to see a professional, I expect to see that person, not some random other I've never met. Dr. Dailey looked at my teeth briefly before determining there were no issues. I wasn't impressed, and I take issue with the lack of agency imposed by the dental office in my choices over my own care. The staff don't seem to understand the problem and claim they "don't know about my preferences" when I had to literally list a specific dentist under the DMO I was on last year. No notification at the call to confirm the appointment, nothing at the start of the appointment, no indication the professional I was there to see was gone. Not even an apology, just excuses. Absolutely unacceptable.

Ha!…read more I have been looking for a practice where the doctor puts his patient first and isn't worried about a checklist that needs to be completed before your personal needs are addressed (e.g. compound billing charges) and boy did I find him! Not only is Dr Tapnio all about his patients but he is also very comical, which I really loved. His staff is also top notch, including receptionist and Becky (Dental Hygienist). Becky was full of knowledge and super sweet, I was lucky to have been assigned to her and look forward to seeing her again. I also love how when you walk into the office it has an aromatic smell, which is relaxing, and can be nice especially if you are someone who gets nervous about doctor visits. The smell possibly comes from the extremely healthy living plants along the walls and table stands. I would highly recommend anyone needing a dentist or looking for a dentistry you can trust, PLEASE go by Beacon Dentistry!! I have been through 3 sets of temps but I move on to my finals in a couple of weeks....They have been very patient and understanding with my request from the color and shape of my finals to my request for appointment times... I am not just disappointed--I am angry…read more After years of treatment with JAX Dental Implant, I believed my account balance was **$0**. I returned expecting to have an impression made for my implant tooth, only to be blindsided with charges they claimed dated back to **2022**. These charges were never clearly communicated to me when the services were provided. Had I been informed at the time, I could have worked with my dental insurance while the claims were still timely. Because these charges were presented years later, I lost any meaningful opportunity to seek insurance reimbursement. What made an already upsetting situation even worse was the way I was treated by the billing representative. From the moment I walked into the office, I felt I was treated with hostility instead of professionalism. I was met with an unfriendly expression and immediately handed a stack of billing papers, making me feel as though I had intentionally failed to pay a large debt. Rather than taking the time to explain the situation or answer my questions respectfully, I felt dismissed and judged. When I told the office that I intended to file a complaint with the Florida Board of Dentistry regarding the surprise billing, I later received a text message stating that **my demeanor was disrespectful**. I believe patients have every right to be upset when they are presented with unexpected bills years after treatment--especially when that delay prevents them from seeking insurance coverage. Expressing legitimate concerns should not be used to shift the focus away from the underlying billing issues. This experience destroyed my trust in this practice. Patients deserve honesty, transparency, timely billing, and respectful treatment. No one should be blindsided by years-old charges or made to feel intimidated for asking questions and standing up for themselves.
