Was going to give them 4*, but I can't really complain. I bought a 20 lb CO2 tank here so I could refill my smaller sodastream tanks after buying a kit online. I looked online and most places were going to charge me about $130 for an empty tank delivered. I called this place and found out the cost was about the same. With the CO2, it came out to be about $160. I called them so they could set aside a tank for me, and the next morning I came by, they had it ready for me by the register. I was in and out of there in a second. Their hours are more on the lines of construction work (open early 7am, close early ~4pm), so you might have a hard time getting here. read more

Mckinney Welding supply is the iron worker and welder's friend. This place isn't huge but it's full of all the tools and gear required to get the job done. Hand tools, torches, protective masks, eyewear and gear can all be purchased at Mckinney. They've got a pretty good selection of hardhats here as well. Pricey but worth it. read more

Nice guys - very helpful, excellent to-be customer service. Unfortunately am not a customer. I was there because I recently bought a 24 oz paintball gas tank ($27) and a sellution tank adapter ($25) on Amazon to avoid paying the exorbitant rates Sodastream charges for their gas refills ($15 for a refill canister is stupidly expensive when it's about $3 in gases). I heard rumors that these guys can fill paintball tanks. Nope - they can't. The smallest tanks that they can fill are 5 lb tanks (and from what I understand they fill them in their plant in Westchester, not their actual store location). Considering that the Sodastream/CGA320 hose is $90 and the 5 lb tank is another $65 or so and is not what I would consider easy to carry around...this would probably be an option for a later day. But still, these guys will most likely do you right for most things... read more

These guys can swap out your Co2 tank or refill it if it's smaller (2.5) like mine. They have the parts if you want to set up your DIY seltzer / carbonator. Each refill tank gives you hundreds of liters and you can re-use regular soda bottles---- save tons of money. Really concerned about the reports of racist and anti immigrant bs from this store. I had thought I noticed something myself but dismissed it until I read the other comments. I regret having sent them so much business with my previously very glowing and popular review. I do not want anyone to support racists in this amazing ( and let's be clear that it is amazing because it is multicultural) multicultural city. SHAME ON THEM read more

Got into home brewing and needed a source of CO2 canisters in Manhattan. A quick google/yelp search led me to McKinney Welding Supply. Brought in my brand new empty canisters and they replaced them with used prefilled canisters. (I guess they are not allowed to fill canisters in Manhattan). The people were friendly and the price was reasonable. Will definitely be back when I need a refill. read more

My experience in visiting this store lasted 5 minutes. As I waited in line the staff behind the counter helped two of the customers. One of the men was of Indian decent and seemed to be taking a trip to India. The man behind the counter told him to "bring some girls back, they can have a free room in our basement". The Indian man left the store and the same man behind the counter joked that "welding wasn't making money, so they should sell girls in the basement". At that point I left the store. These are disgusting comments regarding the trafficking and enslavement of girls. I will not spend my money at this store, I recommend you don't either. read more

Al and Andrew are the best. They upgraded my cooking gear from Asia to US Specs without any worries. They always have gas and customer service is top notch. About the review about racism, don't read that BS. I come here every week and there is a great rapport with everyone.
