Pros- Nice staff and selection Cons - Will not help you solve anything if you have a problem I spent mid-5 figures on a renovation for my small bathroom. All my plumbing materials were purchased from Simons. The shower plumbing (diverter and temperature control) does not work properly. My shower temperature is scalding at its lowest temps and my water flow is weak at best. The manufacturer was difficult to work with to get any corrections. Simons served as an intermediary to communicate but refused to take any responsibility for selling an inferior product. They would not come to my home (4 blocks from the showroom) to assess the problems nor would they advocate for getting the manufacturer's rep to come to me. I was told by the sales person that based on my experience, they may stop selling this line. How does that solve my problem? At a minimum, I believe that Simons should have assessed the issue and offered to replace the defective parts with those of another manufacturer's parts with a credit. I got nothing but 'sorry' and excuses. read more

Simon's sold me a new kitchen faucet in 2023 but sent me home with a 2013 model. (an old model from 10 years earlier) I only found out after a year of malfunctions and leaks. To make matters worse, they tried to talk and weasel their way out of it. Most untrustworthy shop and management with a complete lack of integrity. Shop elsewhere. read more

Terrible return policy We spent thousands of dollars through our architect with this business. We located an excess unused piece of hardware (still in box, in shrink-wrap, pristine condition) and sought to return it. Simon's refused to accept it, whether for cash or credit. The value of this item was probably less than 1-2% of what we had spent in total, and it was in perfect re-sellable condition. I strongly recommend against using this business. read more

I went to this store twice in two days. Even if the store is empty they offer you NO assistance. If you ask a question they can't be bothered to get up and help you. For the quality of fixtures they sell the level of service is worse than Home Depot. You couldn't pay me to purchase one item from here. And I'm building an entire house in need of fixtures. Jason and Doug saved our kitchen! We have German Rationale brand kitchen installed 20 years ago. One of the drawer brackets broke and we have been looking for the part everywhere in the Us and we even wrote Germany to see where and how we can get the part. My husband went to Simon's Hardware. Jason and Doug took extra time and effort to find the precisely right parts to save our kitchen drawers. They even discovered the part number which we could not see before and drew upon Simon's network of stores to get us these very hard to find parts and overnighted them to our house. They are quite inexpensive parts so their going out of their way to accommodate us was very valuable. Anything we need going forward we will from them. read more

This store deserves 10 stars, simply because of the knowledge and customer service from Wayne Straz. He has stuck with me through numerous kitchen plan changes, patient and willing to go from start to finish on my project. He is kind and patient and had information and options about things I was not informed of elsewhere. In the end his prices were fair and competitive, and he was ethical across the board. I do believe he will stand behind his products in case of a future issue, and will be there to help if you have any questions. I couldn't recommend more highly! read more

While the salesperson at Simons 3rd Ave found me the company and photos of two styles, I was unable to see samples of the finishes. ONLY when I thought to call back, did someone else direct to me Simons Soho after calling and checking that what I was looking for was on display. BUT after the trip there, they, in fact, did NOT have anything for me on display. The person in Soho did eventually call a store on Bond Street newly acquired by the Simons company and off across town I went. (It was the place I originally wanted to go to but I thought they'd closed since the phone was not in service.) Yes! I could see different finishes. The salesman, Daniel, was wonderful and I might do more with him as my guide (;tho he'll be at the Soho store). read more

I have never been treated so poorly. I ordered several Emtek items through the Hamptons store. There were items that were ordered incorrectly. For over 3 weeks, I have tried calling the store to speak to my salesperson or anyone for that matter. No one picks up the phone, I have left voicemail and emails and nobody calls me back. I called the NY store to see if they could Help. They promise to reach the Hamptons store and call me back and then I never hear from anyone. I am So upset and don't know what to do at this point. Simon's has an excellent selection of bath and hardware products. I went in to find furniture feet for a piece I purchased with ugly feet that I wanted to replace. I worked with Jose who was extremely helpful in suggesting products and aiding me in figuring out whether the products would really work with my furniture piece. I think Simon's really deserves five stars after watching how they handled the process when my order came in incorrectly. I was sent round feet instead of square feet. I called around 8 PM, after they had closed, and left a message reporting the mistake. I received a call back early the next morning with an apology for the mistake and a promise to order me the right product with expedited shipping. The whole matter was sorted by noon that day. Things go wrong and the mark of a good service business is handling them in the right way. Jose and the team at Simon's did a great job and they will certainly be getting my business in the future. read more

Unlike other reviewers, I came at time when the store wasn't crowded and was able to talk with two sales agents. I wish I'd never met either of them. Besides being condescending, unhelpful, and generally uninterested, one sales guy came just short of yelling at me for asking a question about finding a lock under $500. Not only that, but he gave me the wrong information about a product, assuring me (with his 15 years of "experience") that it didn't come in the size I needed. He showed me the catalog to prove his point, but the catalog didn't have any info on sizing, so he snarled that I could call the company if I didn't trust him... best idea he had. I called the company after I left and, sure enough, they DO care the size I need. Won't be back to Simon's anytime soon. And I recommend anyone reading this to look elsewhere. read more

There is a reason this store has so many consistently negative reviews stretching back a decade... It is a hot mess! The customer service equivalent of a dumpster fire. Go to Simon's if you want to waste a good hour of your life wandering aimlessly around a showroom while being ignored by ditzy sales people who blab endlessly on their cell phone about their personal business instead of tending to customers. The place doesn't keep product stock on the sales floor (just display models) so you cannot self-shop and must rely on a sales person's help. However, you'll die of old age before any employee even looks in your direction or offers assistance. Yes, the place has a large selection, and yes, it's pretty. So what? At the end of day it's a hardware store full of overpriced door knobs. You know where else has great selection? Amazon.com. The man that helped (and I use that term loosely) me today was texting on his phone while I was asking him questions. He also talked negatively with his female coworker about a customer that was on the phone. Meanwhile two other associates sat behind their computers, never budged, and one was singing loudly to himself. It was the tackiest, most delusional group of unprofessional BMCC dropouts I have ever seen working in a retail store. Oh, and I also love how someone named Henry J. selectively responds to some of these Yelp reviews, but clearly NOTHING has changed at that place. Spare yourself the reply to this one Henry. I'm on my way to Home Depot and will not be back. If you want my advice, fire your entire staff and start fresh. They are an utter embarrassment to your business. After spending an hour in Simon's I was ready to call my psychiatrist and double by dosage of anti depressants. My partner and I ordered Custom Made Furniture for our bedroom from Furniture Design by Knossos and they highly recommended the hardware for all the drawers and door cabinet pulls from Simon's. It was there we were introduced to Olivia Lombardi, Decorative Hardware Specialist who made the most excellent recommendations to use lucite and black handles of various sizes to give our bedroom furniture a more custom and spectacular look. She made our selection easy and was patient with our questions and feedback. She placed our order and all arrived promptly and in perfect condition. When we returned to order additional drawer pulls, Olivia continued to give us superior customer service . She also wanted to hear feedback from us regarding our experience. We don't usually give reviews but Olivia and Simon's were both 5 Star review worthy. read more

Quite simply the store is well stocked and reasonably priced. The level of service in my experience (I'm a designer) is excellent. Whoever compared it to Home Depot in terms of merchandise is an idiot. And the service they've maintained during Covid is very impressive. Simon's is a great resource and has a lot to offer. Getting service is difficult and I believe they engage in too much multi tasking resulting in error. Be sure to do all of your own follow through. As a customer, I resent a salesperson taking phone calls and servicing the phone call while I am trying to get my purchase completed. I knew exactly what I wanted, found my previous order was never finalized as the email with the cc authorization was never seen. I was directed to Daniel who was on the telephone (clearly with a friend), chatting about his seasonal allergies and waited a good fifteen minutes as he went on and on, ignoring me. He eventually told me to look around (he seemed annoyed!) and see what I liked--then said he was going out for breakfast and would be back soon. I rarely write bad reviews, but my recent experience at Simon's was one of my worst shopping experiences ever. Epic fail. I stopped into the store to buy a (pricey) towel rack. I already knew which one I wanted so it was an easy sale. The woman at the desk in back was busy so she told me to go seek help from the gentleman sitting at the desk in front. I showed him the exact towel rack I wanted. He wrote up the order and said I'd get it within a few days. I did, but it was the wrong model. I emailed him and he sent me a UPS return label. A couple of days later, the second towel rack arrived. WRONG ONE AGAIN. This time it was the correct model, but in the wrong finish. How hard is it to order the correct one? It's not rocket science! I emailed and called my salesperson for a few days with no response. Finally, I called his cellphone and he answered. I returned the SECOND wrong towel rack and tracking shows it was delivered to Simon's 10 days ago. Still no credit on my credit card. I will have to challenge the charge with my bank. I found the towel rack elsewhere, for a lower price, and I will NEVER shop at Simon's again. read more
