    Irish Coddle

This place was delicious! The Guinness onion dip threw me off a little being cold, but dipping the kettle chips with it was on point. I usually don't go with sausage entrées that much, but after reading about the Irish coddle, I had to try it. I loved everything about that dish, and would order it again. I really wanted to try the shepherds pie, but I do not like lamb personally. I tried a bite of my husband's bangers and mash that was delicious too. I don't think there's really anything that you won't like there, and to make the perfect meal order a nice Guinness draft.

We chose this restaurant because we had never tried their food, and because we had the Nebraska Beer & Wine Passport coupon to use. Our server was very friendly and gave some great options for food because I had never had bangers and mash before. I'm not a huge potato person really, but the Guinness gravy kicked up the potatoes a notch. The sausage was very flavorful as well. I'm going to try the shepherds pie with lamb next time, but I highly recommend the bangers and mash.

one of my favorite places in the haymarket! came here with my husband to watch the CWS game. plenty of TVs and a good mix of food on the menus!! for food i got the corona fish tacos which has a good flavor alongside their kettle cooked chips :) my husband got the pulled pork sandwich, which he deeply enjoyed! for drinks, their moscow mule is always a hit! they also have a good spread of beers and other cocktails you can order. they do have mango cart from goldenrod brewery which is one of my faves! this place as a whole though is so fun! good vibe for a sports bar or just to catch up with people. the service was great with always asking if we want another drink or order anymore food. a great feature of this place too is the whole front is a garage door style so the entire place can be opened up to the downtown haymarket :) overall another great experience :)

I took a day out of my travels to hang out in Lincoln and while walking around I came across this cool Irish pub. It was lunch time and the menu looked promising so I walked in. I was greeted by the friendly staff and started perusing the menu. The Shepards pie caught my eye and boy am I glad it did. Best. Shepards. Pie. Ever. They make it lamb and it's delicious. Great drink menu too and a cool place to just hang out.

Still disappointed with this place. Thought I would give it one more chance and I was wrong. Rudest bartenders I have ever met

Seems to be a place for regulars. Looks a little dated but clean- the chairs looked like they were from the 1980s- regular diner type chairs. You can play keno here. They also have arcade games and overhead TVs. Variety of seating- long tables, some tables for 6 and bar seating. Basically you sit yourself. And the waitress comes around with the menu. She asked about drinks immediately like a second after passing you the menu. Then brings the drinks promptly. And you wait for some time- she doesn't come back around till you wave her over. We both ordered a blue moon beer for drinks. Nice and cold and refreshing. Hubs ordered a cowboy burger with onion rings. I ordered fish and chips. Food took awhile to come. But when it came it was piping hot. I didn't take a pic of hubby's burger. I only took a picture of my fish and chips. It looked more like fish nuggets and chips. It came with coleslaw and you can request for the type of fries ie wedge, waffle, shoestring. My fish nuggets were delicious hot and flakes. Waffle fries were hot. And the coleslaw was delicious. Hubby thought his food was not bad. Fresh and hot. After the food came, our server checked on us a couple of times. His second beer took forever to come. We were about to just pay the bill and take off when it came. Overall, a decent experience. Still couldn't figure out why it was called an Irish bar though. They do have a countdown clock to st Patrick's day.

We ordered desserts at the end and made sure we were apart of the rewards to make sure we could get a free dessert! We got the Brownie and cookie dough cheesecake to-go. The brownie was to die for so soft and moist even after 10 minutes of sitting. We haven't tried the cheesecake yet we were so full, but it looks insanely good. The Rueben was great, my boyfriend ordered it his only complaint was the sauce was a little more on the oilier side and had more of a vinegary taste than what we prefer. The sandwich was so good, I was worried about it being too much pickle, honestly wish it had more of a pickle taste to be honest. I think what would make it even better is if the chicken was fried rather than grilled. We overall had a great experience!

I decided to try a classic Reuben while in Lincoln (when in Rome). It was so delicious. The sandwich appeared to be thin n the photos so I ordered double meat. I also subbed out loaded cosmik fries. The fries were very spicy but tasty. In addition, I ordered a bowl of chili. The description and photo included cheese, chips and sour cream. When it arrived it was just chili. It was delicious even without the missing items. Because the order was not completed correctly, I can't give a 5 star for service. I have no comment about the atmosphere at the restaurant as I was involved in takeout.
