Chill place. Parking available directly outside the restaurant but limited lots. From the outside looked a little dingy. But opens up to a much larger restaurant than expected. Seems to be a place for regulars. Looks a little dated but clean- the chairs looked like they were from the 1980s- regular diner type chairs. You can play keno here. They also have arcade games and overhead TVs. Variety of seating- long tables, some tables for 6 and bar seating. Basically you sit yourself. And the waitress comes around with the menu. She asked about drinks immediately like a second after passing you the menu. Then brings the drinks promptly. And you wait for some time- she doesn't come back around till you wave her over. We both ordered a blue moon beer for drinks. Nice and cold and refreshing. Hubs ordered a cowboy burger with onion rings. I ordered fish and chips. Food took awhile to come. But when it came it was piping hot. I didn't take a pic of hubby's burger. I only took a picture of my fish and chips. It looked more like fish nuggets and chips. It came with coleslaw and you can request for the type of fries ie wedge, waffle, shoestring. My fish nuggets were delicious hot and flakes. Waffle fries were hot. And the coleslaw was delicious. Hubby thought his food was not bad. Fresh and hot. After the food came, our server checked on us a couple of times. His second beer took forever to come. We were about to just pay the bill and take off when it came. Overall, a decent experience. Still couldn't figure out why it was called an Irish bar though. I haven't been there in a couple years. Today I took my team out and bought them lunch on the company as it's just across the street. It was immaculate. It was a late lunch so we got there just after the lunch rush. Everyone was happy. The place was perfect and clean after the lunch rush. There were 12 of us. Everyone got something different. I saw an amazing chicken sandwich that was a full breast of grilled chicken. WTH Several different hamburger meals all different all amazing. I had a BLT. There was almost too much bacon. Can't believe I am saying that. The seasoned fries were frickin delicious. I'd go just for those. Service was amazing. 12 people and only one meal got lost LoL, but it was that amazing chicken sandwich and Bryson was just fine with the short delay. None of us played but there are games of chance, Keno and darts. I'll be back. Not sure why I was waiting for so long. Total was just under $200.00 and a $40 tip that was well deserved. The complimentary rolled silverware fit nicely in one woman's purse and the condiments in another. Getting the chair out the door was a little more complicated. Seriously. Delicious. Most items are just under $20-$15 so reasonable considering I can spend that in a drive through. There were a couple regulars at the bar that I'm sure are there daily. I got it to go, but while waiting at the bar, the bartender, I think his name was Troy, was very pleasant. He offered me some water while I waited and was very helpful while I was ordering my food. I don't drink alcohol, so I don't frequent bars very often, but there was no smoking and the people there seemed to all know each other. It was almost like Cheers type of setting. I ordered a sandwich and some deep fried mushrooms. The sandwich was awesome, but the shrooms were not my favorite. I went to Patty's Pub this evening with my wife and daughter. Both of them had burgers. I had a prime rib sandwich which was the daily special. My sandwich was outstanding with prime rib that tasted great and felt like it could melt in my mouth. The other two burgers were excellent accompanied by onion rings which were tasty. Stopped in a few nights ago for dinner. They were a little busy with a large group that was dining in but our service was great. I ordered the special consisting of chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes and corn and my date had the hot beef sandwich and potatoes. Both dishes were great with one exception, both of our potatoes were not even room temp. I brought this to the servers attention and was dismissed with shrug and a half hearted "do you want another side?" We were polite and kept what we had and finished our meal. Upon receiving the check and handing over payment I received my receipt and noticed an additional charge for paying with a card. I was not aware of the policy and do not recall seeing any posting about the fee. I would like to return and have a better experience next time. We were at Patty's a couple of weeks ago for the first time. We're meeting friends at their place and we offered to buy pizza. Using a maps app saw that Patty's was nearby. We called in the order and then drove there to wait. My friend who used to live in Lincoln remembered it as much different, a smaller less attractive location. When we drove up she mentioned immediately that it had a nicer look than he recalled. We took a table towards the back as the place was fairly busy and we knew we weren' eating while there. I had a beer, she a soft drink. The pizza took the time they said it would, but we were both drinking a and had decided to play some keno, a first for both of us. We both liked the ambiance, it was busy and moderately loud, but no more than would be expected for a buy pub with food and alcohol. We can't speak to the food except for the pizza we ordered, but walking through the place it certainly looked well made. Beyond that, we have no way of knowing. The pizza we bought and took with is turned out to be very good. The was a generous amount of topping and it seemed as though everyone enjoyed it. As we left and again later on our way back to Council Bluffs we agreed that this is a place we will likely stop at again. For us, it is conveniently located near things we go to and people we know. We love Patty's! It's our Cheers bar! We go on a lot of Fridays and always try to sit in Kasie's section. She's fabulous, the pizza is great and the drinks are refreshing! Bob gets them coming out quick! The only problem we have is they have a sign at the door that says children must sit with their parents at all times. Some nights we would like to sit alone, but they show up and are required to sit at our table! We think there should be a cut off age for this practice, say maybe 40? What do you think? Is it my imagination or has Patty's Pub changed? The good service, friendliness, ambiance, etc is still the same but the last three times we have had an issue with the food. The first time we invited our friends bragging about the food, especially the pizza. The pizza wasn't made the way it was ordered with no offer to remake it. It didn't have much of a taste. Our friends ordered sandwiches and they left most of it on their plates. One off night? Okay but the second time the pizza tasted good but I found three black hairs on the tray underneath the pizza. That can really be a turn off. My husband would not let me complain. The third time the pizza didn't have much taste. It was very bland. We always order combo. Not sure what happened there. Three times makes a person wonder what is going on and do we want to continue dinning there or at least remove it from our top five faves! read more

Bartender was pretty well attentive and seemed focused on her regulars, which is totally understandable, but if I were a family of four I'd be a little concerned. Food came out FAST. We are visiting my daughter in Lincoln, and staying at the Comfort Inn & Suites right by Patty's Pub so we stopped in for lunch and had the pizza. Boy oh boy, is it GREAT!!! I generally don't have high expectations for pizza from a bar/pub but this is not your ordinary bar/pub pizza. No microwave or Costco pre-made crust here......everything tasted fresh and so delicious. Planning on going back one more time before we leave, it was that good. I will finish this review when I get to my hotel room. I will say I won't be back. Just for the sheer reason that this place smells terrible. Very smoky. OK, so that was written as I walked into the place. Come to find out it is smoke free but does have a patio that does allow smoking and that must be where the smoke smell was coming from. Plus the place was just old so I'm sure with some good cleaning, they could get the smell to go away. The service was really good. It seems to be one of those places that the locals hang out at. When I got there, there was a group of guys playing some sort of game at a big table and they seemed to be really having fun. The ambiance leaves much to be desired, hence the lower review stars. The food is what you would expect for a pub. American style. I did not have the pizza but I guess that is what they are known for. I instead opted for a sandwich and fries. It was very fresh and one of the better Ruben's I have had. The corned beef they used was not too fatty at all and the fries were super fresh. For a first experience dining out for an out-of-towner it really made me feel like Lincoln, NE is one of those everyone knows everyone kind of towns. read more

I liked this place and if I lived in KC it would be the kind of bar/grill I think I would hang at. The staff feel very comfortable and carry on conversations with each other about all sorts of things, but they are still very attentive to the customer. I was a little disappointed when I asked the waitress to tell me what I should have if this was my only time visiting this place and she didn't really have a suggestion other than to say - I'd get a large pizza, it's the special of the day at about 1/2 price for a large. I had the ribs special w/potato salad. Ribs were ok, sauce was good, portion great. Potato salad was average. Came with a piece of corn on the cob, which would've been a nice surprise had it not been abysmal tasting - I'm not one to waste good, but even I couldn't do more than two bites (the second just to be sure it really was that bad & the first bite wasn't a fluke). Pint of beer was $4, not cheap but not terrible as some places, and meal was only $7 so it all kind of averaged out. Came in to get an order and the bartender was talking to a lady for a good 5 mins and then he all of a sudden says, 19.00$, he's cross eyed And hadnt address me or ask me if I was here for Doordash and just kept repeating it'll still be $19 and then I finally asked are you talking to me and then he said well yeah I'm looking right at you but never once addressed me and then gave me an attitude from there threw my card on the table threw the pen on the table for me to sign if he has such a problem with people picking up other peoples orders he probably shouldn't be the bartender he was rude and I'll never be back as a customer. What kind of person just starts speaking without addressing the person first? Get some social skills established. read more
