Loved that their sides were made fresh. It was graduation weekend, and a wait for 5 took about 15 minutes for dinner. We got lucky, by the time that we finished, it was a packed house. My son and I ate here on the way to event...we have a preferred restaurant whenever we go to Lincoln. This isn't it and it's not going to be now. The experience was extremely mediocre. I started with a 3-star review, and as I wrote, I lowered it. The meal just wasn't very good. I had a beer and a sample of a second - that was the highlight of the night. For my meal, I had the Voodoo Chicken - a seared chicken breast with a cheese sauce. The sauce was thick, lacked flavor. The chicken breast was dry - almost inedible without some salt and beer. The fries were OK - not super crispy and also undersalted. The green beans were alright. My son got a burger, and it came medium (not as he ordered it). He was nervous asking for help, but we did and they promptly replaced it. Honestly, if not for this one thing, I may have given this review 1 star. Went here a couple weekends ago on a date and it was nice! I hadn't been to this location in awhile. I love the delicious smoky smell in the Haymarket before entering that also translates to your food. I got a burger that had everything I love plus peanut butter which sounded odd but really worked! My crinkle fries were good too. My date got salmon and rice but when our food came they brought swordfish instead so they had to wait awhile before their food arrived which was a bit awkward for a date as I eagerly chowed down my entire plate. Although I have been to Lazlo's at another location this was my first time at the Haymarket location. Had dinner recently with my daughter and she ordered the salmon Caesar salad and I ordered a side Caesar salad because our appetizer, Lavosh that came out was huge. It was pretty good as well as my Caesar salad. My daughter very much enjoyed her salmon Caesar salad as well. Salad was quite small and that was barely any shrimp on there. I had to ask for extra greens (actually walked up to the host because no one came to check on us or any table in our area). It came with a honey lime dressing and Southwest peanut sauce and those both were really good. The combination of both was perfect. The second time we went the server wasn't as attentive and I feel like everyone working the second night was a bit off. I prefer the inner onion rings, but we still ate them all. If you like thicker ones you will love these. As one of my sides I ordered the caesar salad. It was so yummy. They were a bit stingy on the croutons which made me sad because they were so good! For my main course I had the sirloin kabobs. They were very good and I thought there was a good portion of meat for the price. The veggies weren't cooked to my liking. Some were overdone and some weren't cooked enough.
