The best pizza in town! Staff was friendly and checked in on our drinks often. I've only been here a couple times but it's great every time!

Lincoln, Nebraska From out of town looking for a place to eat pizza. This place popped up on Yelp so I had to try it. It is street parking and we came on a Wednesday night at 8 o'clock so it was pretty easy to find a spot. Upon walking in the ambience was wooden beams, very large bar and old Tavern leather chairs. The floor is carpeted Nice place. Very clean. The people that were up at the bar seem to be regulars and it gave a nice feeling. Ordered a pizza and asked for half-and-half. The waitress came back after ordering and said since we didn't put meat on the whole pizza she asked the kitchen if they would put extra pineapple on my side. Very thoughtful. Very impressed. Never had anyone ever do that before. The pizza came rather quickly. Not a traditional pizza joint, but every table in the restaurant that is eating is having pizza. The toppings were very generous. From the amount of cheese to the meat and veggies, every pizza had a lot of toppings. The crust tasted fine but almost tasted like a very simple homemade dough. The pizza had plenty of flavor. The service was good. Efficient and kind. The only unusual thing was when we signed the bill, the waitress came by and grabbed the receipt right away. I would give this restaurant 4.3 stars. I can see if you were local coming here to hang out for a cozy, friendly environment. I think it would be a lot of fun if they had a dartboard. read more

We were looking forward to eating at Isles, as the reviews looked family friendly. Unfortunately the hostess was not willing to work with our family (twin babies) and two young boys. Said we could wait 45 minutes and then let same size family without a reservation after us be seated right away. We are a chaotic bunch but seemed like she took a look at our family and just didn't want to deal with us. read more

Met some friends at the Isles for pizza and beer. Service is impeccable. Greet you get your drinks immediately. I got a 10" pizza on a cauliflower crust. Understand $3 up charge for crust. So $22 for a 10" pizza. For the Pizza and 2 Busch N/A's my bill was $36.That's without tip. It was definitely not worth it. Totally a ripoff. Won't be back. read more

Unfortunately, the service our table received at Isles was AWFUL. The server, Jeanette, was extremely rude, dismissive, and impatient ONLY with our table (as her behavior changed with the older couple next to us). When asking us how our food was, she didn't even wait for an answer before quickly running away and refusing to check in on us the rest of our meal. She was also aggressive with every gesture towards us: throwing down our food on the table and our checks. In all honesty, the pizza makes up for the lack of service. Lost my credit card. I've been going here for a few years now, good pizza and cold beer. But the last time I was there they lost my credit card, no idea what they did with it. But they still managed to run the card then lose it. Left my number for them to call me when and if they found, never called me. I called back super rude on the phone said the manager would call me back and never did. Won't be going back anytime soon. read more

This was my first time coming into Isles. Wasn't even greeted and I asked about their menu and had a mean response like I was supposed to know what's on the menu but there is no menu to read. The next customer came in and the worker was very smiley and happy to talk to her. Pizza took 25 minutes but it was good. Pretty expensive for a small pizza. Tables are clean except some crumbs on the tables. read more

Friday night date night was here this week. The place was packed and we had to wait for about 15 minutes when we arrived. Our waitress was friendly and helpful. I had a couple drinks from the bar & we had a soda. Both were good and the waitress kept them full. We ordered an appetizer of fried mushrooms. They were flaming hot and fresh but slimy and not great. We had a large Hawaiian pizza that was hot and fresh and tasted great! Service was fast. Lots of choices or build your own. Finally tried the Isles, because we made it to this side of town! Overall, I enjoyed the experience. The place was a lot smaller than I thought and packed on a Tuesday, but the wait was not bad and service was prompt for it being a full house. The carpet design and salad plates bring back the nostalgia of small town steakhouses I used to frequent and work at. Anyway, onto the food..we built our own pizza, because we had to try what they are known for. Pepperoni, cream cheese and jalapeño...it was pretty good. I liked the sauce and the cheesiness of the pizza, complete with the doughy crust that's a split between thin and pan. Garlic cheese bread was about standard. We also sampled the Italian sandwich; it was okay but not as appealing as it sounded, I'm not sure all of the advertised meats were included but I did enjoy the pastrami, just needed a bit more flavor/seasoning. Next time, we will probably stick with the pizzas. read more

We arrived around 7:30 on Saturday night & this place was packed. Fortunately, we didn't have to wait long to be seated, and were able to get a booth in view of a TV showing the game we wanted to watch. My parents, who aren't adventurous eaters, ordered a medium hamburger pizza. They really enjoyed it and were both full after splitting it. I appreciated that the toppings list for the create your own offered so many options. I was especially happy to see cream cheese on the list. I have only ever seen this at Yia-Yia's, and I always order it when I'm there. The combination that I created was tasty, and the small was so big that I have a couple of slices for breakfast tomorrow. The staff also took Nebraska nice to another level. Everyone that we interacted with was super accommodating, making our dinner very pleasant. read more

This time I'm actually gonna have to give it 2Stars On the service. First time I've ever ordered to go. Went in and paid I had to say something just so I could pay the 15min later I had to ask them if that was my pizza setting in the window for the last 10min. Because they couldn't stop chatting the entire window was full with orders with people waiting. 5 stars to the cooks and everyone else. Been going here for a long, long time and it's almost always been a great experience! It's a bit dark inside but I like it, and most of the time it's full but me and my boyfriend can always find someplace to sit. The wait can be a little irritating but with as busy as they usually are it's acceptable. The appetizers are always nice and hot as are the pizzas. I love the topping choices to you can get almost anything. I've only had one bad experience with this place and that was when they messed up our pizza order. But they quickly realized the problem and gave me a personal pizza for free. So all in all it wasn't really a bad experience just more of an annoyance. read more

I don't know what I was expecting, but trying The Isles "Leaning Tower of Pizza" has been on my foodie bucket list for a while. When I finally had a friend that wanted to meet up in Havelock, I persisted on The Isles. First things first, this is for sure a local (meaning Havelock) favorite and you can tell the majority of people who come here are regulars. It's dark and outdated but in an intentional, just part of what The Isles is about, kind of way. I get that. I am from a small town. I get tradition. So I'm not knocking the decor at all. It's a dive and they OWN it. Our server was really attentive, kept our drinks filled, took our order quickly. Some of the clientele are a little, well, trashy. I'm not from Lincoln originally and don't come to this area often so maybe that's just to be expected. Now, about the pizza. I'm not sure what I was expecting but I was literally picturing some kind of tower of pizza amazingness with cheese and sauce dripping down the sides. Like stacks of bagel bites. Something towering! The infamous Leaning Tower is just the combo of ingredients, which included hamburger, pepperoni, pepperoncini (Italian salad pepper) and onion. Our waitress also asked if I wanted cream cheese and when I asked her if I should, she said yes, always cream cheese. :) The pizza was good. It wasn't overly sauced, the toppings were plentiful, I liked the crust (I'm usually a thin crust kind of girl) but it just wasn't a leaning tower of pizza. Lol. It's not like out of this world! And, the cream cheese was too much. Big chunks of cream cheese didn't really add to the experience for me. I'd probably rather have a take and bake from Papa Murphy's or make the trip to Yia Yia's. When I choose pizza, I like really unique flavors. This isn't really that unique. But it's their thing and let it be their thing. Overall it was good pizza and if you're going to go out for some red beers and pizza, why not make this one of your spots. As far as bars go, I think having the fuller menu including pizza is excellent. I guess it really just depends on what kind of experience you are going for. I definitely wouldn't invite my whole family, children and all, to come to the Isles for dinner. I did like that you can order a variety of sizes, from mini to large, so if I'm in the mood for pizza but my friend wanted something else, no big deal. In fact, she ordered the fries and let me tell ya, I was more impressed with the fries than my pizza. Also, just a note. When you get there you seat yourself. We also paid at the table. read more
