I would give then zero stars if I could. My tire pressure warning light came on. I set up an appointment to have my tires checked. McLarty informed me that the nail was in a spot that could not be patched and that 3 tires need to be replaced. I paid $914 for three tires and an alignment. The very next morning my car was making a clicking/rubbing sound while driving. I took my car back and Chris Valenzuela came out with an attitude telling me that I would be charged $175 for a diagnostic check and there was nothing that they did that would cause this. No other issues were noted with my car the day before on the diagnostic check. I asked to speak to the manager. Shane, the manager, said he would check it out. He called back to say that the tire splash guard was loose. But Chris Valenzuela argued me down that it wasn't related to the tires. No apologies, just excuses. The incompetence and poor customer service was on full display today! read more

I am extremely disappointed in this dealership. It has been a week and I'm still just super annoyed with the lack of service my husband and I received. We went there to inquire about a lease. We walked the lot and then waited inside the lobby for about 5 minutes until somebody finally asked if we need help. Mind you the whole time the managers were in the tower and they saw us but couldn't be bothered to come out. Anyway, once we got a sales rep we were upfront on what we are trying to do (get a lower monthly payment), and we told them our credit score and information regarding our trade-in. Over 3 hours later we left very disappointed. The managers couldn't even bother to come out of the tower to speak to us. The sales rep was new so I don't blame him as much as the management. We weren't trying to haggle the price or anything. I had seen on THEIR website, lease terms for the particular Ridgeline that we wanted and I was told that was a National Honda Lease, and it would be way more expensive because of the taxes in Arkansas. I worked at a car dealership 15+ years ago and they drilled it in our head about customer service and sadly this dealership has no customer service and the managers don't seem to care. read more

Please beware when taking your vehicle to this place for any type of repair!!! I have only ever driven hondas and soley use their service departments for all maintenance and repairs of my hondas. The service department has serious issues with quality and accuracy of their work. The service customer representatives (Cole) are severely lacking in knowledge and are extremely unprofessional. There is NO cocern for customers and there is NO integrity or warranty of services performed. When they do attempt a repair they cause way more issues and want to bill you several times more to complete additional repairs that they caused when attempting to fix initial issues! This place has gone down severely over past 3 years in all areas and I will never purchase another car from them or bring a car there for service again. They don't care about you or that you drove from three hours away to determine if their vehicle is the one for you. They won't "hold" it with or without a deposit. They will say they are going to send over the papers for you to sign and then conveniently not get around to sending them...all while somebody ELSE walks right in and asks for the car YOU HAVE AGREED TO PURCHASE and finances it through the dealership, so OF COURSE they have no qualms about giving it to the OTHER person. When it comes to their service department, get prices in writing first before confirming your appointment. I just drove up for my 11:30 appointment today only to find out that the $54.99 oil change special (tire rotation extra $15.00) is now $155.00 and the differential service is now $250.00 (plus or minus a few dollars because my blood was starting to boil). Needless to say, I cancelled my appointment and drove off. I think they must have a target of finding a minimum of $500.00+ worth of stuff wrong with your vehicle to make quota. The bottom line is there needs to be truth in advertising in Arkansas when it comes to vehicle maintenance. As for this rating service, the dealership responds under your review that they are going to make contact but they never do. Saying you will make contact and doing it is two different things. They practically made my dreams come true (Yeah, I have dreams about getting my car maintenanced *cough) I never realized how quick and easy and smoothly servicing your car could be until I brought mine into Bale Honda for its 30K check up. My experience there was just everything I wanted and much much more. Roy is the man. Quick, immediate, nice service...and I'm talking about having multiple people in front of me. The place was staffed enough to have someone immediately greet me when I rolled up, and I got my car back within an hour or two after a run to Walmart and to the grocery store. (I got a load of stuff done on my car and wasn't expecting it back til the next day). They weren't pushy at all as far as what I wanted to get done. On top of that, they found a nail and patched my tire for free. Who gets anything for free nowadays? Just overall, the experience was pretty dang beautiful. I went in for a routine oil change and the service advisor, Kim, was trying to get me to do a 100,000 mile service ($900) and then replace air filters (I told her I had already had my air filters replaced), then she said I needed a front end alignment, then they "found a nail in my tire". After all of this and 3.5 hours later, all of a sudden Kim tells me "oh, your battery just died"...what the hell. My battery is less than 2 years old. They charged my $130 to replace a 2 year old battery. I don't believe my battery died. I believe they were just padding the bill. I will NEVER go to this dealership for service again. The carwash violently ripped my windshield wiper from my car. When I went back in to inform them of the damage I was told they can't be held responsible for damage from the carwash. I had a wonderful experience here! No one *likes* taking their car in for service, it means that there's something wrong with your wheels, and that's just never a good thought - but, some places you can take that lovable hunk of aluminum, steel and plastic and be confident that it will come back fixed up, and not stress out while you're waiting. I held off taking my car in for ages, since I'm new in town and don't have my old mechanic anymore. But, it got to the point where I had no choice but to get that dang oil change. Called ahead for an appointment (midday on a Saturday no less, and only a few hours in advance) and they had the opening, were quick, efficient and friendly on the phone. When I got there, I made it very clear that I knew I needed more service, but was only there for the oil change and that was it. My tech smiled, said "We'll take care of it!" and did. It was great! He gave me an estimate for both the time for the change and the cost, and when the dust settled he was off by exactly $0.50 and 5 minutes. Not too shabby! But, the icing on the cake that made the trip just that much better? They had a smoker out back with hot dogs and burgers for folks in either shopping for cars or waiting on service. I've visited 10 dealerships and this one is at the bottom of the list. After identifying the vehicle had bad tires, bad battery, bad brakes, someone smoked in the car after detailing it. I couldn't do business with a dealership that cut too many corners while not trying to make vehicles right before being on the lot. They insisted on trying to make me think the vehicle was a great deal and what they were offering was the best deal out there. Also, their rates can be matched by anyone as long as you shop around. Many times trying to get ahold of him, it took too long for a response. I was finally able to get to the dealership, on 1-9-21, for them to look at the truck. After trying to give me much less than I was asking, I told them I was leaving. This prompted them, to offer me a fair price. I am from North Carolina, working in Little Rock for a month. The transmission light came on in my Honda Pilot. I called the service department and they gave me an appointment that afternoon. They offered me shuttle service and were so helpful. I arrived about an hour early for my appointment and Juan took my car back immediately. He explained the diagnostic cost, which I was fine with, and when they found the issue, he called and explained it in detail. It was a 3rd gear switch, and it would be ready that afternoon. Due to my traveling all over the country, my car is maintained at Honda, so there isn't any surprises when I have maintenance done. Some service departments have tried to tell me I need additional SERVICES when I know that's not possible. McLarty Honda and Juan Valenzuela were very professional, took care of what was needed and didn't try to "gouge" me with additional unneeded services or prices. After relocating from San Antonio my dealership had three separate occasions to fix my USP port. This included a week long stent with my car and afterwards they somehow made it worse and broke both USB ports. This dealership had my problem fixed in under 4 hours all the while frequently updating me. They had plenty of space to walk around and of course refreshments. After they worked on it then it had another leak so still not fixed. We just wanted to get a different vehicle. Mclardy set us up. Not only did they not fix or rigged the car. They would not give us 5500 down they my daughter put towards another vehicle. They also made it sound like we had to buy from them. I called the service department at McLarty Honda a few days earlier to set up an appointment for a recommended oil change. The appointment was scheduled for Saturday, May 21, 2022 at 10:45AM. I showed up on time, handed Mr. Valenzuela my keys and told him I will wait. After a couple of hours he came back with sheet of paper stating that my right front wheel was out of alignment and needed to be realigned. At 2:06PM my vehicle was ready and my wallet was $285.11 lighter. This second oil changed included a B1 Service where Mr. Woodson, the technician, touched a lot of stuff on my van. One of the things he touched was the exterior light stalk on my steering column. It's called "Check Exterior Lights" on the form. He did more than check them; he turned them off. When I bought this vehicle back last year at McDavid Honda in Irving, TX, the first couple of things I did before driving back to Arkansas was set all my mirrors, adjust my seat, and set my exterior lights to "AUTO". Who in the hell changes the settings on someone's vehicle and does not return them to the original setting when they get through "inspecting and checking"? Needless to say, my nightmare only began as I drove off. I headed off to my mother's home in Batesville, AR to visit. I told her I needed to leave a little early because bad weather was headed in this direction. I headed south and by the time I got on the south side of Pleasant Plains, the sky was reddish orange looking and the rain was blinding. I dropped my speed limit down to 50 mph because I could barely see the tail lights of the vehicle in front of me. On at least 3 occasions while in the left lane of 67/167 I had no less than three vehicles try to come over on me. One of those vehicles was a fuel tanker. Only much later did I learn the reason they almost side swiped me was because someone by the name of Zachary Woodson at McLarty Honda turned my headlights off. The only thing that was on was my daytime lights which were worthless in that driving rain. I pulled over in North Little Rock and faced a plate glass window on a building so that I could assess my headlamp situation because I thought all of the rain may have shorted out my headlamps. When I saw the reflection of my headlamps and only saw my day time running lights, only then did I realized Mr. Woodson had turned off my headlights when he "checked them". Just before stopping to inspect my vehicle I hit the "Grand Canyon" of potholes just past the 40W off ramp for JFK with the same right wheel that Juan told me needed realigning. I'm guessing I'm needing another alignment on that same right front wheel. To make a long story short, oil change turned into an expensive nightmare because I will now have to pay for double work. I cannot recommend their service department because there tampering behavior puts other peoples lives at risk including my own. I have no intention of returning there for any more service on my 2021 Honda Odyssey. Those people are DANGEROUS. read more

McLarty Honda sales staff used deceptive sales practice to lure my son showroom (which required me to drive three hours) only to not honor quote. On the morning of 4/1/2020 he spoke with Josh Gamble, Internet Sales Consultant, McLarty Honda (Phone Number 501.804.9584) regarding the purchase of a 2020 Honda Accord Sport 2.0 Automatic (VIN# 1HGCV2F35LA010793). After several rounds of negotiation, they settled on a final, out-the-door cost of $29,264. He reaffirmed several times throughout the conversation that this final number was all-inclusive of taxes and fess. He specifically asked repeatedly whether there would be any additional fees or any "surprises" once he arrived at the dealer. He reassured my son this would be his final cost, period. My son asked him to send him the quote in writing to avoid any confusion regarding their verbal agreement. Josh texted my son the following: "You have my word on that price. It will not change. I also just checked with my manager so there will be no miscommunication once you are here. There are no added fees either. I won't be able to print out the worksheet however I will text my offer again to confirm it with you. $29,264 is the final number and that includes our $129 fee. The reason I wont be able to send it to you written out is that a lot of times customers will take that pricing to other dealerships just so that they match or beat me by five dollars. I work really hard to be transparent and fair and I would hate to do all the work for another dealership. Of course, I am not saying that you would do that. When would be a good time for us to get together?" After receiving Josh's text, my son requested he send him a copy of the actual purchase order and associated documentation so that he could confirm there would be no additional costs beyond the $29,264 they agreed upon. Again, Josh continued to state his concerns with customers "shopping" his offer. He once again reiterated there would be no additional monies required above and beyond the $29,264 to purchase and secure the vehicle. They agreed to finalize the deal based on these discussions. My son drove over 200 miles and arrived at the McLarty Honda just before 7 PM CST. Upon arrival he met with Josh to finalize the deal and take possession of the vehicle. It was at this time Josh indicated the cost he provided did not include sales tax. My son reminded Josh they had multiple conversations over the phone and via text regarding the final cost and that he assured him there would be no "surprises" once he arrived at the dealer. My son expressed his disappointment with Josh and his lack of honesty and requested to speak with the sales manager. He spoke with Steve, explained the situation, showed him the text message exchange, and asked what he was willing to do to resolve the situation.
