On the day of my consultation Dr. McNemar was running late from performing surgery. The staff informed me immediately and offered to reschedule as it would be over an over of waiting past appointment time. I chose to wait. If it were MY surgery I would not want him rushing through to keep appointments that the staff clearly informed all patients there and via phone. During my consultation he gave me the time deserved answering my questions. I booked that day. His bedside manner day of the surgery was incredible. 4-1/2 days after surgery my entire back and right torso seized up with debilitating muscle spasms. I had a mommy makeover and had occasional spasms to start. Walking hunched over made them 20X worse. This wonderful man returned my call (mind you it was on Easter Day) not just once but twice. Giving me his cell # to text or call if any other problems. I am not only extremely pleased with the fabulous work he did with my breast reduction and tummy tuck but the impeccable after-care. Love love love this doctor. As soon as you walk into his office, you know that you are at the right place. The mood in the waiting room is one of relaxation and content. The front staff are so kind and gentle when they speak with you. Nice inside voices and respect for your privacy. There are many words that I can use to describe Dr McNemar however, the best word would be Genuine. What you see is what you get. He treats you like you are the only person on the planet. I have been seeing Dr. McNemar for a year now for reconstructive treatment. He is always very supportive, he takes as much time as you need to make you feel better, which makes the hard issues a little easier to handle. I know people complained about the wait in his office, there is a wait sometimes, but not always, I know that he is late because he is taking the extra time someone else needs to fully understand what it is that they are going through. He always has time to sit and listen to everyone, and some need more support than others. I am sure it is hard to schedule extra time in the day if he don't know how long someone is going to talk. His team are always friendly and helpful, they treat you like you are part of the family. I would recommend him to anyone who likes the personal service that this office gives you. read more

I researched this doctor for almost a year before I went to him. The most I found on him was that people had to wait a long time in the waiting room, which is completely true. Be prepared to sit there on occasion more than an hour past your appointment time. Besides the long wait my situation became much worse. In all of my pre-op appointments, I clearly stated I was allergic to adhesive, on many occasions. The day of the operation I said it many more times. I had a red hospital bracelet on that read "NO TAPES or ADHESIVES". 48 hours after my surgery, when I was able to take the wrap off, guess what I found?!?!?! TAPE! My skin had begun to react to the tape and I had oozing blisters on both sides, coving my incisions and around where the tape was. The contact dermatitis continued to grow and ended up covering most of my body. I took a trip to the local urgent care on about day 3 of not being able to control the growing rash and needed two rounds of steroids and one 10 day round antibiotics to help clear up the sever reaction that I had. When I went back to Dr. McNemar for the follow up, I was clearly upset and still broken out in hives and blisters from head to toe, all he had to say was "that is unfortunate"! Wow! Moving on from that, it gets better. My right breast and left breast implants were at two different heights. At each of my follow up appointments, I mentioned concern over the clear difference. I was told repeatedly that breast implants drop at different rates and could take 3-6 months to drop. At 3 months no difference, at 6 months no difference. Dr. McNemar suggested that I take a Rx allergy pill, that will "help break down any scar tissue", well I took those pills for 30 days and guess what, nothing. Then I was told sometime implants may take a year to drop, now I am just irritated. I waited a year and a half and of course there was no movement. My breasts were at two different heights and that was that. I went back one more time and told Dr. McNemar that it was clear the right side was not going to drop and I did not want to live that way, that it needed to be fixed. He told me that it was scar tissue, possible capsular contraction keeping it from dropping and of course that was not covered in the originally surgery cost. He then gave me a quote for $6000.00 to repair it. I went home in tears. I started to ask myself if I could just live with it. I had a hard enough time spending that kind of money on myself the first time, I surely could not do it a second time. And if it was scar tissue, which I didn't think it was, did the fact that I was fighting an allergic reaction for a month of my healing time have anything to do with that? After living with it for a few more months and crying about it on several occasions, my husband and I decided I should get a second opinion. I was referred to a surgeon in San Jose by a couple of my friends. Of course I did my own research as well, because that worked out so well the first time. He believed that there was no scar tissue, there was not a capsular contraction, which was clear because the implants were soft, there was no hardening. He confirmed what I had thought and been afraid of for almost two year, that it was just poor work. My new surgeon said he could not believe Dr. McNemar would leave me this way and that it was going to be difficult to fix, that it is easier to "do it right the first time". In conclusion, the right breast was were it was supposed to be. That is the one I was waiting to drop. It was the left breast that was the problem. My current surgeon said the left side muscle was "released too much" and the implant was just sitting on my skin, which was stretching more and more, all the while pulling my skin away from my ribs and moving further down. It was poor work! It had already moved a little more than an inch lower than where it had started. The only fix was to remove my implants, and use a synthetic silk sling, an internal bra, to rebuild the left side of my chest. The surgery was more than 3 hours long and ended up costing more than double the first surgery to get it fixed. I may need another follow up surgery to be determined. I have a 3 month healing time as the current surgeon had to sew this sling to my ribs and chest muscles, I have to say it is pretty painful. I am happy to report however that my breasts are now level again. I am sorry for this long review, I just want to make sure no one else has to go through what I have gone through. I never even received so much as an apology. We are humans and everyone makes mistakes, but own up to it and fix it. Please think twice before using this surgeon. Sadly, I went to Dr. McNemar for a face lift. I had 2 fifteen minutes with the Dr.. On the first visit I was charged a $1,000 deposit. On the 2nd visit I paid the remainder. Honestly, five minutes after I paid the money the Dr. turned into a completely different person. He was unkind, mean and hurtful. I canceled one and half days later. If he had acted the way he did originally I would not have canceled. Plus, he explained the procedure in more depth and it was not what I wanted. I had to call his office everyday for three weeks in order to get a refund. He kept &1,000 of my money. He still refuses to give my back my deposit. I offered to let him keep $300.00. i just recently went to dr. mcnemar about a month ago for a breast reduction and lift, i have to say without exaggeration he did an AMAZING job, i have a number of friends who have gone under the knife and i have to say dr.mcnemar ranks up there with one of the best, im extreamly picky and choosy when it comes to rating, but dr. mcnemar deserves these 5 stars, im going under once more for a rhinoplasty and he's definetly my guy. i would recommend him to my daughter, mother, bestfriend...pretty much anyone read more

I sent a "contact us" on 9/2/15 at 6:27PM regarding a consultation, I got an automated email that same night saying someone from the office would be in contact "soon" to set up an appointment. 2 weeks later I am still waiting for that call. If it takes this office this long to set up a consultation I could only imagine the headaches that await for the rest of the process, NO thank you! I have had a facelift and a full laser work before by another doctor that lasted over 20 years before my visit with Dr. McNemar. Let me tell you about my experience with Dr. Thomas McNemar with his facelift and laser work. My first impression was good but the day of the surgery I change my mind. He was two and a half hours late and I overheard his staff say he was shopping for a new cell phone for his daughter because she lost hers. So my surgery laser face lift only took him 2 hours. He said it would take four to four and a half hours when I asked him.  Dr. McNemar does a face lift while you're sitting up in a room you paid $1,250 extra for. His laser is so old he had to use a piece of wood to see if it would get hot enough.  This was very very painful!  Stitching by my left ear left folds in my skin down my left side and under my chin where he did some liposuction. He did say he would redo the facelift and I could get more laser work for $500 more already gave him $8,750 . At this point I am very hesitant, God knows what I would look like? I'm very disappointed in his work I don't look refreshed my skin is sagging, wrinkles are worse. He even agrees before and after pictures show no change. Very unprofessional he lacks Integrity doesn't care much about getting great results for his patients. To me he's all about the money. Bottom line.... if you want a professional job don't go to doctor McNemar, but if you want a halfass job he is your guy. read more
