McQuaid Vein Care underscores and clearly defines what premier patient service is and should be. Your entire staff's attention to detail and most importantly their personal care and excellent people skills clearly sets the experience at your facility apart from other outpatient medical facilities I have visited. From scheduling to patient preparation, to timely communication to your skill truly makes what should be an unpleasant experience extremely tolerable. I had one spot of minor spider veins that bothered me. I was told I needed all the underlying larger veins treated to stop future spider vein problems. I had very good insurance and it was covered. 2 weeks after treating these larger veins my legs broke out EVERYWHERE with spider veins. I guess when the larger veins were closed that blood had to go somewhere. I've spent years and thousands of dollars trying to get control of this. First at this office, then at multiple other doctors. Now I can't wear shorts or dresses. So disappointing and so ugly. read more

I went to Dr. McQuaid back in 2015 so I feel like I have a good idea of the final results. I had three procedures: removal of a lump on my leg, vein ablation and sclerotherapy. While he and his staff are incredibly kind and professional, I would have loved to have been told before the procedure that sometimes vein ablation can leave your legs looking worse as the blood re-routes itself and can make new veins more pronounced (which is what happened). I also mentioned that I had sclerotherapy three times before and it didn't work, but instead of offering another option, he said we should try it again--and, surprise, it did not work. I know you often need more than one treatment but I had absolutely no results from the first treatment or my previous three elsewhere. The lump was removed successfully but the skin was not closed tight enough so now I still have the loose skin in the shape of a lump on my leg, just with nothing inside of it. I sent my brother here before I had healed and he also didn't have the best results. I don't write many reviews but please use this as a reminder to always ask about side effects and if there is a possibility that something won't take before you spend your money! read more

I have had both legs worked on and still going through my healing process with the most recent procedure. I can't say enough great things about this office. I had to have 8 treatments (4 on each leg) over the course of 2 months and you can imagine the fear I had prior to seeing them. I sustained an injury to my saphenous nerve during varicose vein surgery with Dr. McQuaid, MD. This has resulted in complete numbness from the middle of my left leg down in the distribution of the nerve. I had to have another surgery, by a different surgeon, to repair the damaged nerve. I had to have a cadaver nerve graft placed where the nerve was damaged. It will take a long time for the nerve to grow back but it will never be the same. read more

I had been having trouble with my legs for several years, I did not know why. I went to Dr.McQauid for a herina . After a very good exam Dr McQuaid discovered the vain problem in my leg. It has been a year since my surgery and I can walk with out my legs giving out on me. I could not be more pleased! The herina surgery turned out great also! Great group! read more

Note: McQuaid has moved from this location. My legs look and feel worse 3 years after the procedures than when i started. I spent a lot of time, money (even after insurance) and pain (it is very painful) and i wish i had never gone there. When i would complain that my legs didn't look any better, McQuaid would just recommend more procedures. Now i even have nerve damage in my right leg several years after the last procedure. If you're thinking about doing this, look into how many people are unhappy with the results and especially with McQuaid. There are other procedues that get better long term results than ablation and are not as bad as McQuaid will make it sound. read more
