He became an adult and is now the primary on the account and is handling his account on his own completely. I've since moved away from the area...and there is no way for me to remove myself from his account from a distance. Even in 2026...no E-sign, no notarized letter, nothing. Either he has to go into a branch, close his account and open another one by himself, or I have to travel back to the area to remove myself from his account in person because "this is a local credit union." It's like we've traveled back to 1995.

My Dad recently passed away and he had several of his major accounts with MCT…read more I have been handling his finances for the last year. So, when he passed away, I opened an Estate account here to keep things simple. However, I deposited a check thinking I had only created a checking account but, unknown to me, the check went into his savings account. I got temporary checks to handle his remaining finances. When I used the checks, they all bounced because the check was deposited into savings vs checking. Keep in mind that all checks were written within a close timeframe, and I don't monitor the account every day as this is not my personal banking establishment. So, within a week, about 4 checks were bounced, more than once, with $30 charges each time. When I called MCT I was simply told the check was placed in savings instead of checking and that I should move the money to checking to avoid insufficient fund fees. And, they didn't offer to remove any of the fees even though my Dad had an exemplary record at MCT and had been with them for years! MIND BLOWING. And, these people were familiar with my Dad's situation and we had spoken, on several occasions, over the last year. I'm just wondering why no one called to give me a heads up that checks were bouncing on his account. The problem could've been easily resolved. Just very frustrating.

Everything I do that involves this bank is a pain. Their app is frequently broken, or difficult to…read moreuse. I cannot call and discuss it with them, I must appear in person. Any disputed charge on your card leads to your card being cancelled and a lengthy paperwork and service process to resolve. My card is unusable at most sites online and anything outside of the US, and most places out of town. When I complain I am told it is to combat fraud. I might as well be paying cash for everything as my card is almost useless online or over the phone. I cannot find a different bank fast enough.

Bank atm was out all day! They were installing a new one. Went inside 2 employees and 25 people in…read morelobby waiting. I drive to mid county a 25 min drive. I had to make an emergency cash deposit. That location was empty and obviously closed for some months/year no atm. I googled Orange County no locations. I returned to the bank the next day and still no deposit option and long line. They charged me $10 dollars ISF fee! For the transactions I made and could cover but could not make the deposit. How come a massive corporation like B of A has 2 atm's at one location Dolan Rd in Beaumont and the area for 350000 people in our 2 counties? Normally I do not have nsf fee this is the first in years I'm very disappointed. They don't care I'll go to another bank that charges high rates... just not BofA. Recommendation build some small local banks or atm machines like the other banks in the area. Stella, Wells Fargo, capitol one bank, etc
