That alone speaks to the incredible trust and confidence I have in him. Dr. Ayalon is knowledgeable, compassionate, and always takes the time to answer my questions and make me feel comfortable. Pregnancy can be overwhelming, but he has a way of making you feel calm, heard, and genuinely cared for. The entire staff is just as amazing. Every single person I've interacted with has been kind, professional and welcoming. They always make me feel like more than just another patient, and that's something you don't find everywhere. I'm so grateful to have found his practice years ago, and I wouldn't want anyone else caring for me or my babies. I am having my FIRST baby and he made me feel so anxious and worried rather than reassure me that we can get through this. He basically implied that I will have pre-eclampsia, and gestational diabetes. When I asked why he said that IVF was "unnatural" and "overweight" and "age". While I understand that all of these things may be true there is a better way to approach these things. The doctor also said "open wide" like my vagina was my mouth. It was just unnerving. If this appointment was my first time seeing my baby I would have been SO disappointed because the ultrasound images were HORRIBLE. They don't even LOOK like a baby. Luckily, I had amazing photos from the IVF doctor. It was also not just the doctor, but the intake person also asked me about a procedure I had and I couldn't recall the name of it but was saying it was called...hystero-something and she asked if I had a hysterectomy...I looked at her and said "well, I'm pregnant, so it's not that." I also asked if they had worked with any Doulas they had no clue what I was asking. It was just overall very disappointing and I will not be going back.

She is also WAY more personable than a typical "in and out in 15 minutes" doctor in today's modern medical system. I have great doctors at Cedars - and she eclipses them ALL ... literally BY MILES AND MILES AND MILES. No comparison!! NONE. I am a 60+ yo woman with excellent health and insurance - but I suddenly had a "downstairs" issue - and no Cedars or UCLA Gyn's were available for two months!!! In "desperation" - I came to Yelp and found Dr. Perlow. I had really not heard of the concept of "concierge" medicine ... but had to see someone immediately. I signed up for her service and as promised by her office staff - she got me in "the next day". The NEXT DAY. Going to see her is FAR more extensive and personal than the "usual" doctor. She gave me a comprehensive "head to toe" exam. Since she is a specialist in many areas beyond OBGYN - she has the experience and knowledge to be able to diagnose and treat special conditions like mine - AND she actually spent time with me to get to know my situation. She has excellent demeanor with her patients, understands a woman's body and hormones and gives each patient the time and respect that they deserve. She was wonderful about having my partner accompany me during a diagnostic procedure in her office as well. For those of you seeing her due to having babies - never fear that this is the only time you can have a doctor this good ... you can see her the rest of your life AND SHE IS SO worth every penny. My partner actually said not to post a review so we can keep her all to ourselves - as she will soon be a new Dr. Perlow patient too! The annual charge for a concierge doctor is pricey - not going to belittle that fact - but I am prioritizing her annual fee into my budget because I feel she is just THAT good and I want to be able to reach my doctor directly (if needed) at a moments notice. You can divide up the annual charge quarterly or semi-annually to make it easier to handle. I feel blessed to have found her - and thanks to her - got treated easily and early for a rare condition that could have developed into cancer. Cost of that? Priceless. And PS - the negative reviews here??? Read them closely ... they all have to do with HOW BUSY she "was" and how difficult it "was" to get in to see her BEFORE she became a concierge doctor - SINCE SHE WAS (is) SO popular!!!! There "IS" a reason why she was / is so popular that she can now charge an annual fee - because she is the BEST, most caring and personal doctor you will ever have - at any life stage you are in.

I never feel rushed; Dr. Silberstein always takes her time, really listens, and answers all my questions -- even the random ones I found on Google at 2 a.m. What really sets her apart is how affordable her care is -- I don't have insurance, and her prices are incredibly reasonable, which is such a relief. On top of that, the parking is super easy (a small miracle in L.A.!), so every visit is low-stress from start to finish. For example, while taking down my medical history, she asked "are you healthy?" and I said yes. Later I mentioned that I have been on levothyroxine for 10 years for Hashimoto's. She passive agressively told me in a snarky tone, "When someone asks if you have any medical conditions, you need to mention that." However, she had NOT asked me if I had any medical conditions -- she asked me if I was HEALTHY, and I was indeed because my hypothyroidism is being appropriately managed by an endocrinologist. I did not appreciate her acting as though I am an idiot when I was a STEM major at a top university that Taaly frankly would not have been accepted to. In addition to her poor bedside manner, I was highly dissatisfied with her medical care. When I asked her to put me on birth control for acne, she simply handed me a pack of pills and began to walk out. "Wait!" I exclaimed. "Is this the best one for acne? Can you explain to me why?" She dismissively replied "all birth control is good for acne" and left the room. This is the reason I have come back to share a review today: I struggled with worsening acne for years after that visit, only to be told by a dermatologist this week that the birth control I had been prescribed by the brilliant Taaly was androgenic and actually can WORSEN acne. If you are looking to be treated with respect and receive high quality medical care, I would not go here.

My regular doctor referred me here because I need a new gynecologist. Natalie at the front desk was very friendly and sweet when I checked in and filled out forms. Stephanie got me in a room, took my vitals and was kind. Dr. Fenmore and I met in his office and went over everything about why I was there. He was so understanding and caring. I feel very comfortable with switching over and I wish I had changed doctors sooner.

It was an unpleasant experience…read more I am quite small, and the pregnancy was difficult from day one. My body was in pain. Odd events took place regularly, and I felt alone on this ride. One day, Dr. Fenmore called me. He asked if I would sit down. He told me that my amniocentesis appeared to show chromosomal abnormalities that might indicate Downs Syndrome. Later, I was called again and told to disregard the other day's call, to disregard the alarming abnormal "results". The results weren't valid, in his opinion. Did he request another test? No. But I digress. He told me the abnormal amniocentesis results must have been caused by debris from another person's amniocentesis, in other words - Junk left in the test tube appeared as chromosomal abnormalities in my fetus. He didn't know how to interpret such abnormalities. So he invalidated them. He said he thought the tube used for the amniocentesis was sterilized but still contained debris from someone else's amniocentesis. I took his word for it. We disregarded the amnio abnormalities and continued with this doctor. This was just one of several missed red flags. I had contractions at 6 months, and I was advised to take frequent bed rest. It was painful throughout the remaining months of the pregnancy as my body strained to accommodate what was happening inside. It was an outrageously long labor, well over 24 hours. I followed the opinion of so many that it's 'better for the baby to have a vaginal delivery'. In hindsight, the vaginal delivery was full of red flags My child was trapped in a vagina too small for smooth passage. She was trapped for many hours. My daughter was born not breathing. A team of about 6 staff wearing dark blue - whisked her away to elicit breathing. This too was disregarded. The first pediatrician called my attention to my infant's poor APGAR scores, etc. She was a "sensitive," "difficult" infant. She had heightened sensitivities, rigid physicality, dysphoria, night terrors, delayed development, and many missed milestones, She was diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder at age 3. I believe the lack of oxygen might be responsible for her slow (lowest percentile) cognitive processing speed. Our lives are haunted by questions. It was an insanely long labor, well over 24 hours. The damage to my child and to my body are troubling to this day. No one acknowledged the damage of that vaginal birth. No one ordered the correct tests to assess the damage done to my body and organs until last year. 24+ years later, I am facing surgeries to address the profound damage my body sustained during that poorly managed birth. And it's past the three year statute of limitations on medical malpractice. If I could go back in time, I would change doctors (and much more). I should have demanded a C-section (at the very least) rather than sacrificing the quality of two lives for the "benefits" ascribed to a vaginal delivery. I regret trusting this doctor.
