I have been going to Dr. Kadze's office for five years and I can't say enough nice things about her and her staff...she is a great Gynecologist. Caring and cool but also doesn't sugar coat anything. She values the patient's time as much as her own. I can usually get the appointment time and date I want with no trouble. Her front office staff is also great and her nurses are THE BEST!!! I went in to see her once a couple of years ago. I did not go back. I didn't want to write a review at the time. It has bothered me since, and I was looking in an old calendar, saw her name in it, and the experience all came back. I went in for a PAP. When she came into the room, her bedside manner was shocking to me. She rushed in, barely introduced herself (if she even did at all- and this was the first time I'd met her.). She told me to get my legs up, and went in without warming the instrument and so quickly it took my breath away. And then she was gone. I lay there alone in the room literally feeling like I had just been violated. When I left I was shaking slightly. I have had many PAPS before this and never had a body reaction like that. I went to meet a friend and he was wondering why I was so distracted and my response was to tell him about the doctor's visit I just had and my words were "Honestly I feel like I was just violated." So there it is. That was my experience. I didn't feel like she looked at me as a person, just a number in her day, and on my end I guess my body felt like a stranger burst into the room and violated me and left. I did have cheap insurance, and although she took it I remember there was some sort of judgment or push back on that as well. I see there are people on here who had a great experience, and maybe I caught her on a really bad day. Everyone has those. But that was my experience. read more

First I want to say any complaints are isolated incidents and isn't reflected by how awesome Dr. Kadze and her staff are IN MY OPINION. Dr Kadze was recommended to me through my insurance and I am so glad that she was. There are so many things that made my pregnancy easier due to Dr Kadze and her staff. The service has been great. I always got a reminder call the day before my appointment. My insurance was switched mid way through my pregnancy and it was a smooth transition thanks to the office staff. The day I found out about my insurance they still helped me. The office staff also helped me with my paperwork for maternity leave. I also never had to wait longer than 5 minutes when I had my appointments. The staff were comforting when I came in stressed, asked me how I was doing, knew general information, actually cared etc. Dr Kadze was courteous to my needs, my fears, and my questions. She was also available when I had first time Mom questions and never made me feel like I was bothering her. Her references were also great. I was considered high risk so I had to go to the high risk ob once a month. She recommended a pediatrician who is also amazing (Dr Osher). My delivery, a breeze thanks to Kadze. She was there for me and made sure myself and my baby were ok. She followed up and called us to make sure we were good. I can't say enough about her and her staff! I called to make an appointment and the girl was so rude and said call back Monday with a referral. I told her I had seen Dr Kadze before and had a referral. Then she told me she can't look up reversals? Really hmmm? She never asked my name or the reason for my appointment. I have never had this experience when calling a doctors office. I have been a patient of Dr. Kadze for many years - typically only visiting the office once or twice annually for routine care. She has always been super fast and efficient! I recently had my first child, making office visits to Dr. Kadze and staff more frequent and requiring new services. I am so happy with the entire process, every appointment, test, question was always addressed and left me feeling confident and comfortable. I wasn't quite looking forward to the delivery process, but I must say that Dr. Kadze is a rock star!!!! She was completely amazing, comforting and quick in the delivery room. I would rate this physician with no stars except for the fact that she did a very quick and painless PAP and Pelvic exam. I will give her that. Maybe Dr. Kadze is a slow to warm up person and that's why so many pregnant women praise her as an OB. My sense as to why she's kinder to pregnant women it's bc she has to see them for the course of their pregnancy ($$$) She has to be nice to them so they come back. I am not pregnant. So it really did not feel like it mattered whether I came back to this practice or not. (And I won't). The reasons why I won't come back: - The woman at the front desk did not even look up to greet me when I walked in. She told me to sign in and asked for my information without a smile or acknowledging me. I feel like saying "hello" to your new patient is a common courtesy. Maybe I expect too much. (Btw, I'm a registered nurse) - The biggest reason why I feel confused about all the rave reviews about this practice was this: the MA who checked me in to my room and told me to get undressed, was not even gone for 5 minutes, when Dr. Kadze barged in without knocking. I WAS HALF NAKED. She just backed out, without acknowledging what happened. I quickly undressed and put on my gown. Then after few more minutes, she KNOCKED and walked in, as if nothing happened. She quickly moved on to doing my PAP. She avoided talking about the incident. I think her overall approach to that situation is why other people have said she is rude. Obviously she felt awkward, but it's common courtesy (and best practice) to knock before entering a patient's exam room - especially when they are getting ready for a PAP. - She was very efficient in doing my PAP and the pelvic and the breast exam. She was also quick to tell me that they won't call and tell me about my results unless they were abnormal. Side note:I don't understand why doctors don't understand that it's equally important for people to know that things are a-ok after they've done a procedure. Is it really that time consuming to call and tell someone, "hi, your PAP is normal! See you in 3-5 years!" - just in case you made an appointment with this practice and they didn't tell you, I'll just tell you now, cause I think it's just helpful to know this ahead of time -- if you park in the garage, it's 1.50 for 20 minutes and you can only pay in cash. Also, their office does not validate. Again, I think my experience made me feel like I was not as important to the practice because I was only there for a PAP smear. It really seems unfair to treat people differently. It's a terrible way to run a practice, and it's one of the biggest problems in healthcare. read more

This was the worst experience I have ever had with an OBGYN. When I arrived, as I was filling out my new patient paperwork in the lobby, I overheard Dr. Kadze reprimanding a nurse for not scheduling enough patients for her. (Because this was my first visit, I was unaware at the time that she was the doctor that I would be seeing) She was all but yelling that she needed more appointments and that the young lady should be doing more to keep her schedule full. Once I was led into a room to actually meet Kadze, everything about my visit was rushed. Though she spoke to me kindly and acted concerned, her tone and smile did not match her professionalism. My visit was for a PAP, and it was the roughest, most uncomfortable experience I've ever had with a doctor. Any PAP that I've had before, the doctor talked me through every single step, made sure that I was comfortable and not in pain - Kadze did none of those things. She handled me as fast as she could, jammed her instruments in and around with no regard for my physical comfort. The entire encounter, from the time she entered the room for my consult to me leaving after my exam, took 15 minutes. ANY woman who has had an exam can imagine what type of experience this must have been to be conducted in so little time. What ultimately convinced to me to write a formal complaint about this visit was 2 weeks after my appointment when I received an envelope to my address, with another patient's name and ALL of her medical history. Drug and health records, pregnancy history and details, everything! Somehow these confidential documents were sent to my address instead of the correct patient. Due to the lack of professionalism that I personally experienced in and out of this office, I would not recommend Dr. Kadze to any woman who cares about her health, body, and the attention that it's given by her doctor. read more

Dr Kadze has been my Gynecologist over the past 12 years and I cannot speak more highly of her. Being a physician myself, I refer all of my patients to her for OB and for Gyn. She is gentle, friendly, caring, knowledgeable, and experienced. Maybe TMI, but I do have to say that my experience of PAP smear at her office has been the fastest and most comfortable than any of my previous OBGYNs. I highly recommend her! read more

She was the first OB I had ever been to, I first saw her when I was 16 or 17 to get on birth control. The nurse who took my blood pressure, etc, asked me what I was in for and I told her that I was interested in getting started on birth control. She paused and asked me why, so I told her I wanted to take any precaution I could to avoid ending up in a sticky situation. She responded with "well, my daughter is 18 and sex isn't even a thought in her mind." I went back about a year later to set up an appointment to get an IUD and after about 2 and 1/2 minutes she told me she wouldn't do it because I wasn't in a monogamous relationship, and that was the end of that. I haven't been back since then, and have found a new OB who I actually like. I was never impressed with any of her staff, and certainly not here, and I was actually quite offended by her nurse's remarks to me. I would not recommend this office. I moved to LA from across the country and I have had back luck with doctors since I moved here and have had a lot of negative experiences. I have left a lot of doctor's offices feeling dismissed, mocked, insulted, you name it. Dr. Kadze is definitely the kindest doctor I have come across in this city. She listened to me and did not make me feel rushed, and she seems genuinely empathetic. I called her office today, and she answered the phone herself (!!). Love love love Dr. Kadze. She is extremely knowledgeable in her field . I have delivered 2 babies with her and couldn't be happier. She held my hand through every step of the way. She patiently took the time to explain the procedure (I had both C-section) I was super nervous and she made me feel at ease. She explained that although it might be scary it's safer for the baby and obviously that was my priority. She took her time at every visit and explained every stage my baby was going through and every time I left her office I felt at ease. I continue to see her for my annual check ups and always will. BEWARE! Dr. Kadze was incentive, abrupt, uncaring and cold. I went for a pap. I told her the prescription made me sick that she had prescribed. They caused cramps and nausea. She didn't care. She was forceful when performing the pap with the clamp and swab. She was not empathetic saying "you're squeezing, you need to stop" "you're not letting me because you're squeezing" "some people can handle it, you cant" all with cold attitude, no compassion for such a vulnerable procedure. She said "it is what it is. I can't do it." It is what it is? Who says that? What doctor talks like that? This was pre covid so no mask to hide her uncaring face. Her nurse agreed with me about her attitude, using a rather descriptive word that I won't use because I am not trying to bash the Dr. She just needs to be aware that she comes across as mean. She made no eye contact with me and was dismissive. Very unkind. She had a bandage on her nose so maybe she was in pain herself. It has been years since this has happened. But since this event, I have found it difficult to get a Pap. Maybe she has changed and she was just having a bad day but I definitely would not recommend her. read more

Doctor Kadze is my doctor for some time now, at least 8 years what I recall, I absolutely LOVE her, she is very kind carrying yet very professional, who treats her patients as they were her family, she is always very honest and to the point, which you do not come across with other doctors. Recently, I became a mother for the first time and cannot thank Doctor Kadze enough for the experience. She was off that day visiting her family and it happened unexpected, as soon as she was called she was right there in the hospital within an hour to deliver my baby. I cannot thank her enough for the experience because she made sure I was taken cared of and ready. Dr. Kadze is clearly popular. My personal opinion isn't that great. I've gone to see her twice. 1: The desk lady (one or more or all of them) are rude. I mean straight up walking away telling yourself 'what a *#$ing bitch' rude. I see I'm not alone in thinking this as others have pointed it out. The first time I came was also my first time in the area. Actually I had just moved to LA all together. I knew I was in the right place but I called to see if I could get more specific directions. Desk Lady: "What do you mean. You can't just see the building." Me Thinking: I'm sorry I'm so stupid. I mean after all the zero times I've been there I should have every nook of the building memorized. The unmarked building full of offices surrounded by other unmarked buildings full of offices. *wow this is going to be a great day* No she didn't give me directions by the way. Every conversation with them thereafter steadily got worse. Why the doctor would risk her credibility with such awful staff is beyond me. I wouldn't tolerate it. 2: It is very very clear she overbooks. When you have 6+ patients milling about the waiting room and halls I guarantee they aren't getting quality time with her. I'm sure I was simply lucky to have been graced by her presence at all. I don't think she spoke more than 15 words to me between the times I was there. I only ever went to her for simple things so I can't say how she handles more involved patients and I'm not so sure I want to. (After all I would be cutting into the other 6 people hovering arounds time). read more

I feel like if I was pregnant I'd get more attention there. My health is still important and I will always have questions and observations to share. I just didn't feel like I was being heard or advised enough. The staff made me feel unwelcome. Ruslana Kadze, MD front office is rude unprofessional and not tech savvy at all. They dont listen to voice messages ignored my pharmacy and when I complain she told me to find another doctor during Covid and refused to even fill prescription for a few days. How can a doctor leave you during Holidays without a very vital prescription and no doctor and this during covid? The medication I need would make me very susceptible to Covid and would put me at risk if I do not receive it. She is also never in the office therefor you have to deal with her unfriendly staff. I LOVE Dr. Kadze. I went to her years ago when she was in the building right behind the Tarzana Providence hospital parking structure. She stopped accepting my insurance and I had to find another OBGYN. I was super bummed, to say the least. I was not happy with the person I ended up going to. Fast forward a couple of years later. I decided to look her up and see what insurances she DID accept. Come to find out she takes another insurance that I had the option to be with!!! I can't tell you how stoked I was to get her back!!! I only see her once a year. And normally woman dread these appointments. I don't.... Not with her at least. She is quick. She might get the feeling that she wants to get to the next patient, but if you do have questions, she answers them. She is straight and to the point. I think is very nice. I feel really comfortable with her. The things I would suggest is that her front office staff greet you with a friendly smile. What a great experience! I heard wonderful things about Dr. Kadze from five (!!!) different women all over LA who had their babies under her care. I sure was not disappointed, Dr. Kadze is a true professional. I know I'm a new client and only came here once for my tests but trust me, I've been to so many different OBGYNs that I can tell a good one from a bad one by just the first couple of questions they ask. During the appointment she really took time to get to know me and tell me more about herself. Funny, honest, very soon it felt like I'm talking to a good friend I've known forever. After the appointment she actually cared enough to call me back in and let me know that one of the tests I was about to take was very pricey and is usually not covered by most of the plans. She explained where to call, gave me all the numbers and told me about different options I had in order to avoid a ridiculous bill later. First time I see a doctor doing that. A few days later she personally called me to let me know my test results were fine. Never seen a doctor doing that after a regular check as well, considering how busy her office is. I feel obligated to share my experience with others, so you would know what to expect from this place. Dr. Kadze was my OBGYN throughout my pregnancy. I've read all those reviews about the rude staff, long wait time and her being always rushed - that's all true. But I was fine with it until something very unpleasant happened. I've called and scheduled an appointment. I spent 30 minutes in the waiting room, then receptionist said that I need to call my insurance 'to get approval for the appointment'. I told her: 'I'm not a new patient, I was here multiple times and never herd about it'. Why haven't they told me that when I scheduled my appointment? They knew, that Dr. Kadze is in-network for my plan and consultation is covered, the same it was during multiple visits before. Ok, I called my insurance but they were closed. So they refused to provide service for me and I went home without seeing Dr. Kadze. I found another OBGYN, who could see me without insurance's approval and could make an ultrasound on the same day in the same place. So I would suggest Dr. Kadze if only you want to make your life more complicated. read more

Dr. Kadze told me she has NEVER heard of the MRI Guided Ultrasound treatment for Fibroids. That means she is either incompetent or, worst, lying to get me to do an invasive surgery with her so she can make a few dollars at my expense. Regardless I am not going back to her. On top of that, her pap smear practically ripped me apart and still not back to normal after 3 months. I'd stay away! read more

This review is long overdue! Dr. Kadze is amazing! I saw her for my entire first pregnancy and I had such a great experience. My pregnancy was not an easy one... at 13 weeks pregnant, we found out that I had a cyst the size of a softball on my right ovary and had to have surgery to remove it. This was terrifying for my bf and I as we were super concerned about the possible effects on our baby, but Dr. Kadze was super reassuring that both baby and I would be fine! Dr. Kadze performed a laparotomy on me and I healed without any complications! After many hours of induced labor, I ended up having a C-Section when I gave birth, and again, she performed this surgery so smoothly and my recovery was even faster than the first! What I love the most about Dr. Kadze is how honest and knowledgeable she is. I always felt taken care of, and she always answered my hundreds of questions without making me feel like I was a paranoid first time mom -- which I so was! I also remember her having such great communication with the RN's during both of my surgeries, and she came by before and after for each of my procedures. She is short & sweet & to the point!! And I LOVE that about her. My family and I moved to Long Beach shortly after I gave birth, and I will still make the 40 mile trek to come see her for all things woman & baby! Dr. Kadze is the best OB I've ever been to. All my pap smears with her have been painless including cervical checks during my pregnancy. She is busy and works fast but if you have questions and need more time she is always available to you. She is super calm and super professional. She delivered our healthy baby boy and respected all our wishes in the delivery. She is a doctor that genuinely cares and knows what she is doing. I went in as a cash patient and had the worst experience! Dirty office, she literally RUSHED me in and out, never had a conversation in an "office" setting, she did a Pap smear then asked me to go upstairs to give a blood test to see if I was pregnant, even after testing negative and I told her there's no way I'm pregnant . She didn't answer any of my questions , and I had gone in with a concern, she didn't help with that issue either!!!! My urine and blood tests weren't ready for over 2 weeks! I ended up in the ER with a UTI that turned to a kidney infection, thanks to her . Stay away. read more

I was just remembering how Dr Kadze performed an emergency c-section on me to deliver my son 9 years ago. She was called in to assist during a family bbq. She was a life saver! Her demeanor was relaxed and in that situation I really needed it to get through. Her office was crowded and kind of hot. There was a wait and she was uniquely direct about things. I'm sorry to see that people have so many negative comments because she did a great job delivering my son. You would never know I had csection because the incision healed up so well. Just had my twins! My first babies, so a lot of questions arised while pregnant. Dr Kadze was just amazing! Every question was always answered and every worry calmed. I felt very protected with her and knew my babies will be safe. I had a c-section and was absolutely ready for it, Dr Kadze explained how and what will happen and I went in not scared at all. Before babies were born, I had to stay at the hospital for almost a week, Dr Kadze was there every day checking on me and making a plan. She always listened and always explained every step, I was never left in unknown. The office staff is always there for you, extremely helpful and supportive! If I could give 0 stars i would. I wouldn't even recommend my enemy to go here. I almost died and lost my baby because of how neglected I've been. I was in the middle of a placenta abruption along with early labor contractions at 30 weeks pregnant. She knew from day one I was a high risk patient. Her and the staff at tarzana hospital kept discharging me and sending me home. Even though I've showed up with a puddle of blood TWICE. Long story short I had to call 911 and have my baby somewhere else because the bleeding was really severe (thank god). To top it off, I called the office and informed them of the situation so they would change my next appointment to postpartum instead. During my pp appt the doctor walked in saying "let's hear the baby's heartbeat." Thinking I was still pregnant. The receptionist failed to mention one small detail. My baby was born and in nicu for two months. Just goes to show they do not care about you at all. I'll never in my life go back. I know other people who have been in similar situations and they had doctors who knew better and helped them carry their babies full term. She should have known better. read more
