I originally received 5 bids from Yelp painting contractors to paint the exterior of my 43-year-old, 3,100 sq. ft cedar siding home. Gerardo's bid was the 2nd. lowest, only slightly higher than the lowest bid. However, his bid included everything in the price that I needed (no extra add-on price options). He did start one day later than expected, due to another job running longer, but called me in advance to let me know. He was flexible to allow me to buy my own materials, so I just contracted for the labor. I was able to get his painters' discount at the paint store by showing my contract (Nice!). His crew did a good job with prep (power washing, scraping, and caulking). When I called out a few sites I wanted more attention paid to, his crew responded to my request. He was very conscious about not getting overspray on cars in the driveway, plant pots, etc. He did a great job keeping the job site clean. Overall I would strongly recommend Gerardo and would not hesitate to use him again.

He seemed personable and provided a quote based on pictures, which was helpful, since we were still closing on our new home. Prices were exactly in our range. We were also very clear about the time frame for painting. He planned to start working a week and a half before we planned to move in. He and his assistant painted REALLY fast, finishing each floor in our house in a day. At first, I was impressed, but once we looked closer/moved in, we were disappointed to see missed corners and spots where we could see the old colors around appliances, trims, etc. We had to ask him twice to return to clean up those areas. The first time, he blamed the mistakes on his assistant. The second, he apologized, but blamed our timeline. We never needed him to finish that fast and as a manager, he should have reviewed his assistant's work. There are still issues, but we have not asked him to return because he spilled paint on our countertops, trim, and ceiling and its not worth the effort to clean after him. In the end, you get what you pay for *shrug.* The experience was disappointing because he bragged about working in Naperville and offering the same quality to everyone. Given our bad experience, I can only hope that is not true.

Their portion is sloppy. I had to paint over their edging. They dripped a lot on my deck, they dripped a lot on my skylight, they dripped on my roof. We had to have them come back to attempt to clean up. They didn't clean the skylight and now won't answer our calls. I'll be using a different painter for the future jobs.

It hadn't been painted since it was built, which at that time was 27-years. It was in very rough shape on the North/East side. When the job was complete, it looked GREAT! I contacted them again this fall due to pealing and checking of the original now 33-year old paint, again on the NE side of the house. Kevin gave me a very fair price and the work began. The crew worked very hard, did a lot of prep work, including re-caulking, and even used a special primer to aid in the prevention of checking and pealing. Once again, the house looks GREAT. Susan contacted me a week after the job was complete to ensure I was completely satisfied, and then sent me the bill. Think about that, they worked at-risk, knowing their quality and my perceived value would prevail. Of course, I paid in-full with a smile and will recommend them to my neighbors, friends, and family.
