A truly unbelievably, breathtaking venue…read more From the first visit, Evergreen Meadows (and especially Melissa), was so wonderful to us. They answered all of our questions, reassured us, and provided so so much help leading up to the wedding day. Our guests RAVED about the venue! The nature and landscaping is so well taken care of that there was hardly a need to decorate. The tent with twinkle lights was the cherry on top, making it a truly magical night. The bridal and groom suite were well suited for our needs, plenty of room for the hair and makeup artist, and the bridal suite also came with an industrial steamer! Parking is a little limited for the venue, but really not too bad. Far enough from the city that there was no car sounds. Even though I can't provide a lot of photos because we only had our wedding a week ago since writing this, trust that it is beautiful and GET MARRIED HERE!!! I only wish they sold some kind of ornament so we could have a keepsake of this gorgeous location! QUICK PROS: tables and all chairs are provided for, rehearsal dinner space provided (1 hour), ability to add on more hours if needed, free to decorate as long as no lasting marks are used, tent provided with venue, responsive and helpful team, clean venue (truly every part was photographable) And quick shoutout to my photographer: @/jelenarowden.photo

Nice size TV Pillow selection Very friendly and helpful staff Cons Price- at these prices the value is questionable when everything is not absolutely perfect. We splurged on Riverside room but not much view of the river lol Towels are thin and rough Need more than two wine glasses. Regular glass for water would be nice. No fitness room on site. Day pass to another gym was fine but would have preferred something at the lodge( again bc paying a lot of money)

What a difference 40 years makes…read more I was at the Salish Lodge on a business trip for a week in 1989, and it was one of the most lovely experiences I've ever had. By the end of the first day, every valet and front desk person knew all of us by name, and they bent over backward to be helpful and treat us like valued guests even though we were working an event and weren't the ones paying for the rooms. (Our company had bought out the entire lodge, which was much smaller at the time.) All the guest rooms at that time faced the river and had a beautiful view of it. Not so anymore, as they've renovated the lodge and many rooms have either no view or a view of trees (definitely beautiful) but not the river. The latter was our experience. There was a tiny glimpse to be had if you peered far off to the right, but otherwise our view was the trees. This was disappointing simply because we didn't know the place had been added on to and now had non-river view rooms. My husband, who had given me this trip as a Christmas present, was very disappointed and asked if there were any river view rooms available instead. Sure -- for $700. (No thanks.) We stayed in our $400+ tree view room instead, but honestly, this room is about $250 overpriced. For that price, one would expect everything to be in perfect condition, plus a large-ish room. Not the case in ours. It's smaller than the size of a standard La Quinta or Comfort Inn type of room, has no dresser or drawers to unpack your clothes (unless you remove the iron from the 6"x6" drawer it's stored in), and the "closet" is an IKEA-like unit in the entryway of the room. There's a fireplace, a TV, and a small desk, plus two chairs crammed into the corner, and a narrow balcony outside to listen to -- not see -- the river. The bathroom has a shower with two rain-style shower heads, so bring something to cover your hair if you don't want to drench it every time you shower. (The hotel doesn't provide shower caps -- only a small bottle of lotion and some Q-tips and a make-up removal wipe that doesn't remove makeup. It's just to keep you from getting it on the white towels.) As to the room's condition -- There are lamps on each side of the bed. Mine had a wonky switch that had to be jiggled just so in order to work. It's supposed to be dimmable, but mine was either on or off. There is also a reading light built into the headboard. Mine didn't work. Also, water was shooting out the side of one of the shower heads where it connects to the pipe in the wall. I did tell the front desk the next morning, and they offered to move us to another room. I didn't want to have to pack up all my stuff and move to another room that may have had less of a view than we already had, so I told them we were leaving for the day and asked that someone come in to fix the issues. They did, but about six hours after I put in the request, my husband received a text asking when it would be convenient for them to come in. Needless to say, communication between the staff isn't great. As of this writing (getting ready to check out on Day 4), now the fireplace isn't working. It stopped last nigh

It was so pretty and that day was nice and sunny so the mountains looked majestic as the backdrop to a wonderful Easter weekend. They had face painting, balloon animals, and a petting zoo, and the kids just loved it. They had set up an Easter Egg Hunt and had lots of cute decorations everywhere for the Easter festivities. You really felt like it was Easter there. They even had an Easter Bunny to take photos with the little kids and the Bunny gave lots of great hugs to the kids and take photos with everyone. The buffet was extensive and had plenty of food for everyone's tastes. They even had crab claws and mussels. Unfortunately it was all my favorite foods and I ate a little too much. I was so stuffed I could barely get to the dessert table. (I of course have a reserve dessert stomach, so I had some cake and coffee). The staff was very nice and helpful and they worked very hard. It was a great event and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Hopefully we get another invite out here again soon!

The place was kept clean and it was a relaxing and still private environment that you can just enjoy the time privately with people in your group. I also really appreciated the staff. They were friendly and on top of things. The kitchen crew, in particular, really made sure to accommodate everyone with various eating restrictions. The food tasted good and was served family style. Everything tasted good and I really enjoyed it. I definitely would love to have the opportunity to wind down and come back to spend some more time at Rainbow Lodge Retreat Center again in a future.

I heard that in the past it was buffet style and I'm so glad they don't do that anymore and it's done family style. Family style just gives you so much more style and time to really commune with those you're there with. I hate buffet style meals, to me it's very wasteful and academic. I was there to visit and make friends and being able to eat and share food around the like family was sooo more relaxed. You could tell by all the laughter and conversations going on around us also. The benches all over was nice to go and be able to chat with friends or just sit in quiet by yourself. Super comfy beds, slept like a dream. Oh I also loved that coffee was made super early in the morning and was kept full all day so you could get coffee or tea all day long and they had clean mugs for you to use. Which were nice cus you definitely knew which mug was yours by the design and was easy to track where your coffee was. Everything was super clean and nice to be able to relax and enjoy the company of those I was there with. Loved that there are dispensers of shampoo and conditioner and body wash in the showers. This is a must stay place for retreats or large family gatherings.
