An HUGE park that just so happens to have a farm at the end. This park is in the middle of Bellevue and is well maintained with lots of free parking. The park has a paved path with lots of trees & flowers. There's even a HUGE 3-story playground! That was the biggest playground I've ever seen! There was also a smaller playground for little ones. The farm itself is at the top of the park and it's small but lovely because we saw all the animals. My daughter loved naming all the different animals and especially loved the goats & sheep. This is a free farm but there was a cute mailbox accepting donations. I don't think anyone was working when we went on a Saturday. You can also have your birthday party here which is so fun for animal lovers! They even offer classes where people of all ages, from school age to adults can learn how to care for the animals which is so cool! We came here because we were invited to a toddler's birthday party. You get access to a room (15 mins prior to booking time) to set up for the birthday, and then part of the experience is that children get to pet the animals (like the bunny, goat, and pony). The staff member from the farm responsible for taking us on the "tour" may have been more dynamic and engaging, since a lot of the younger children seemed to be checked out (e.g. she could have attempted to ask questions, share more fun facts, get the kids more excited...i think that would have been an overall more pleasant experience). Cute farm in the a big park in Bellevue. Cool to check out but maybe not so fun for a birthday. read more

What's not to love!! I've been here way too many times. And I love it each time, rain or shine. The sheep's, the cows, the goats, the bunnies!! So many furry and feathered friends. This farm and park holds a special place in my heart. Everything is well-maintained and kids will love seeing the animals in pastures from 9am to 3pm every day! There are covered tables at entrance by the parking lot. Walk into the park and you'll reach 2 large play structures and bathrooms. The path then cuts through wetlands bordered by big hills that are the best to roll down. Continue to cross a small bridge and you'll arrive at the base of the hill where the sheep graze with a view of the barn structures. Visit the animals, then explore the large trail system behind the paddocks! They also have amazing community programs ranging from equestrian and art camps in the summer (great volunteering opportunities for high school students!) to workshops for adults in topics such as how to make goat milk soap and wet felted slippers. This is a wonderful place to visit with the whole family! Note that all dogs and other animals must be kept on leash. read more

bro... real life? ok, this farm feels sort of weird to me, but i think it's just the advertising around it and the people there. the farm is set up like if there are animals roaming about, then you're allowed to pet them. that's cool, but it's so awkward bc there's a very quiet preschool right there, and everyone will just be staring at you like "who are you??" while you're trying to pet the sheep. then the employees i talked to were pretty rude to me imo, and they touched me when i didn't really want to be touched, and it was uncomfortable. also you have to park a loooong way away to get to the farm, and the employees are like "haha you'll get your steps in," and i'm like "haha i have a 25 pound baby i have to carry but ok" in contrast, i will say that the playground is really cool. there's a baby playground for small babies and a bigger playground for bigger kids. both are awesome, and the big playground is safe for small kids if there's a supervising adult. my son is almost two, and he had a blast. i would definitely come to this playground again. slides, no sandpit, no water area read more

Wonderful farm and park in Bellevue! This is a great place to visit, especially for families. Kelsey Creek Farm is located in the Lake Hills neighborhood. It's easy to find, access, with plenty of street parking by the main entrance and a lot on the side. Although I do not have kids in my life, I like to visit Kelsey Creek Farm because the area is spacious for walking around. I like to take my dog here, as it's along the Lake to Lake Trail, and goes around Kelsey Creek and the wetlands. There's also a large lawn and hill area, perfect for hanging out and reading a book on sunny days. There's also a playground and a gazebo area, with a grill that you can reserve. The farm is the main attraction here, and it's actually pretty cool that the City of Bellevue maintains it, so we can learn more the farm land and animals here. The farm is open 9AM - 3:30PM everyday, where you can view the animals. You can even adopt a farm animal, with funds helping to care for the animal. Animals that can be seen here are pigs, goats, sheep, rabbits, etc... There are special, family-friendly events that occur throughout the year, which are open to the public. I like visiting Kelsey Creek Farm, especially since it's a space that Bellevue residents and others can spend time in for free. This spot is beyond cute, super fun if you have littles and don't know what to do for the day, they have chickens, rabbits, goats, horses, cows, a huge pig, and sheep! All the animals are out and about for most of the day from what the website says. And they even have a park the kids can play at after your done walking around! There's a ton of picnic tables and benches all around the property so it'd be fun to have lunch and hangout. They have a public bathroom as well as some outhouses. Awww so gorgeous place for kids and whole family!!! I started coming because I like the trails behind the farm. Later on we visited the animals at the farm. Love that the City has them well taken care of, and we get to see them :) We love the horses, goats, rabbits, cows, ducks... all of them! Walking around all year long is peaceful. You can also have a picin or a party on there big shelter down near the playground or at the top of the hill near the horses. I think there's a table too. It will be fresher with the trees :) Parking spots are easy if you wait a bit because lot is pretty small. You can always park in the neighborhood. It can get tricky when big events. So plan ahead arriving by a shuttle that they offer from Bellevue and a near parking lot. Yay! Events like the ones with sheep are interesting. They have also activities for toddlers. What I didn't like is that some events will change; like the Eggstravaganzza. Egg Hunt was inside and it wasn't a hunt per sè. Just coloring. Tickets were sold out beforehand. Came out here with my 3yr old for the first time. He was super excited for all the animals. We saw some kids petting a bunny, so my child got excited as well. We stood in line waited patiently, once our turn was up, the worker said "birthday party kids only" and turned the bunny away. Of course my child started crying & she didn't even have the heart to let my crying child pet the bunny for 2 seconds. While all the parents were starting, I picked him up and left immediately. Honestly that was a really big turn off for me to bring my kids back, to a place I thought they would be welcomed to and would be asking to come back to. An absolutely adorable farm and park that is 5 mins from my house! The loop makes a very pleasant short walk as well as there are an abundance of hikes that go on forever to the left of the park. I never saw animals on my after work walks during the week but I did see some sheep and goats around 1pm on the weekend when I went there. The park is so well kept and clean. I could see myself having a picnic out here sometime during covid times! I really enjoyed this inlet when you first walk into the entrance of the park on the left where the temperature decreases a bit and there is a log blocking a pooled stream of water: so cool! read more

This is just a very nice spot to visit with or without kids. And it's free! If you do have kids though, there's a park/playground, they can enjoy the animals and there's trails close by if you want to do a little more walking. It's a very clean area. Parking is limited, but never had a real problem finding a spot to park. Sorry no pictures, they all have my son in them. But just goes to show it's a picture taking worthy area. Lol read more

On a recent lunch break at work, I decided to go to Kelsey Creek Park and take pictures and walk around . I reflected on how I really had not taking advantage of the park when my kids were young as it is a nature amusement park of FUN! This park is truly a gem, nestled in the heart of a bellevue neighborhood, it brings everyone to a slower pace and has many options for fun for the family. Sitting on the property are two historic barns and Fraser cabin. It should be noted that Kelsey creek community park and farm are located in the same spot. The park offers: -Hiking trails -Jogging trails -picnic area -Play area -animal viewing 9-3:30 each day which is sooo fun for the kids. -summer classes for kids -volunteer opportunities Whether it is a fall afternoon and you look at the pretty leaves or it is a summer day and you are enjoying the sunshine, this is a great place to go. This farm is the perfect place to take kids. It has a convenient parking lot, fun barn themed playground, and of course, a farm to see animals! I liked that it was a little hidden away in a neighborhood, so I imagine it's a neighborhood gem. I went with a 5 year old, and she loved exploring the "paths" that lead to the playground or farm. We saw a few sheep, ponies, horses, cows, chicken, bunnies, and goats. There's also a cute cat that roams around the barn, that was very friendly. This spot is great to take kids! And, if you get tired of the farm, Bellevue Botanical Garden and Wilburton Playground are only a few minutes away. Hop in your car to drive, or there's even a trail to walk to Wilburton close by. Its a neat and spacious farm, something different to explore apart from the parks(entry is free)! Choose a day when the weather is not too hot, else it can get taxing to roam around. We were here last summer, in April. Great place to show if you have toddlers, parking is available on a normal day without hassles. Some of things can be closed out when you visit, depending on how they manage the farm. The barn was closed out when we visited. However, ducks, sheep and some other farm animals were a sight to see. I guess you will see lot of photography enthusiasts on any day! Makes for a good, peaceful and different place to explore as a family. read more

It's well maintained and they have goats, sheep, chicken, horses, to name a few. The area is huge and gorgeous and great place to sit down for snack and just soak up the nature. I can't believe it took us over a year to check out Kelsey Creek Farm and man, we were missing out. Our kiddos loved this farm and I can see us becoming frequent visitors. There is a large modern playground at the entrance that our kids loved and the site is just overall a joy to visit. There are clean restrooms and a farm filled with sheep, goats, hogs, chickens, geese, cows and horses. It's hard to come by farm animals unless you're away from the city and this was such a treat to have in the middle of Bellevue. Might I also add that there's also a fun sandbox by the hogs which all the kids gravitated to. A great day for the family and I would recommend it to anyone. read more

What a wonderful concept of a recreational/educational area as well as a farm!!! It was of great interest to my 5 and 7 year olds!!! The children were able to ride their bikes along the paths; I enjoyed reading the informative plaques about wildlife and salmon. On Sunday afternoon only the sheep were out. My review is specifically for the summer camps-- Groups for uder age 6 and under. My 5 year old daugther was there last week and went missing for an hour and a half before I received a call from the police. I never received a call from the camp, just from the police who were searching the park for her. The phone call I received from the detective started like this "Your daughter is missing, we need you to bring an article of clothing for the dogs..." Thank god, she was found. She and her friend were hungry and had decided to leave the camp to look for food. So, I guess the camp doesn't feed a morning snack or allow the kids to eat from their lunch box in the morning... They were found up near Home Depot. The childcare workers are mostly very young and inexperience with children, IMO. I think more experience child care workers are needed. The few, experienced, managing counselers had the nerve to blame the children for the incident because they said the kids were "being sneaky and playing a game and not respecting the rules or the counselors". Well, not many 5 year olds are known for being good decision makers, which is why people put them in daycare to be supervised. It is clear that the camp was not properly supervising these kids. I do not recommend any children 6 and younger or with special needs be placed at this camp without parent supervision. I will not be signing my kids up for summer care there next year. My prayer is that god, luck, fate or whatever you believe in... be on the side of any other families who decides to trust this place with their young children. read more

This is the best park/farm in Bellevue area for families or others like us who were looking for a short good hike in the city. It is never too crowded or crazy unless there is an event. The park is big enough that any group small or large can find plenty of space to spread out and to have a nice picnic or activity. My friend and I went for a hike today to take advantage of the last bit of summer. There were a few other people on the trail but most of the time it was just us. Loved the luscious trees, fresh air, and the soothing sound of the water streaming underneath. The stairs at the top of the trail definitely got our heart rate up and sweat going. On the way back, we saw bushes of blackberries still hanging on to their dear life and even got ourselves a little treat. I wish we had noticed them earlier in the summer - could have made it into a "U-Pick" day (as long as we won't get in trouble with the park). read more

I honestly can't believe there is a farm in Bellevue, let alone it being 5 minutes away from the mall. I go running here all the time because there is a nice quick trail that goes around the park and around the farm. If you want something that is uphill, that is also available around the back area. It's nice and quiet and the neighborhood by the park is really nice as well. If you're kids love ducks, there are tons of them here, especially on rainy days. I would rate this 5 stars but the thing that isn't so great about the park is that in the summer time on weekends, parking is tough since the lot is small and street parking is scarce as well. I have been here over the years and find it great to have a farm with such variety in the city. I thought I had done reviews, but yelp checkins thing otherwise. We came here after visiting Farrel-McWhirter Farm Park in Redmond. There are more variety of animals here and the kids always love it. We came here with our two grandkids who were visiting for the week from Olympia, They prefered this to Farrel-McWhirter because of the variety of animals, plus you can pet some of these. The next week we came back with our toddler granddaughter. She loved the animals and the toddler play area. They have a variety of toddler swings, teeter totters, and structures. This is a MUST visit park if you have small children. read more

A farm in Bellevue? Oh yes, believe it folks. Kelsey Creek Farm is a lovely park. The park grounds are beautifully maintained with lots of running space for the kids and a trail for hiking. Visiting the park and farm is completely free and there's parking too! The hubs and I took the girls here today to see the farm animals. There were rabbits, pigs, horses, ponies, sheep, goats, chickens and water fowl. After doing a loop to see the animals, we spent a little time at the playground (great for a toddler, not so much for older kids). The girls had so much fun. We'll be back for sure! read more

If I told you to find a farm that has chickens, goats, sheep, horses, cows, ducks, geese and pigs within a 35 minute drive of downtown you'd be hard pressed right? Well, what if I told you to find one with 2 miles of walking trails, a river with salmon running, a barbque for 50 people with a covered area, a children's play park, and enough green space to throw an aerobie around... That would be impossible right? Not so. Smack in the middle of suburban Bellevue you can see it all. We went this last weekend and took a mess of pictures. At least one of which will probably end up being our Christmas family picture. We took it from the middle of the picturesque sunflower & pumpkin garden next to the barn. They also have annual activities. We'll check back on those later this year as we were just out on a lark looking for something undiscovered. Parking can be a bit thin on the weekends. Public bathrooms available but looking a bit old and heavily used. Otherwise a grand farm setting just outside the city. Pack a lunch and a frisbee or bring fido for a run in the park. read more

A beautiful and spacious park/farm. At first it was deceiving for the park in the front of the farm had no signs but not a big deal. Just parked and started walking. A great place for the kids to learn and play. We packed a lunch and there were benches all around the farm and park, as well as lots of grass areas. The staff was friendly and had no problem answering random questions (which I am sure they hear 100x a day). There is a nice trail that wraps around the entire farm or even takes you to another little lake. A nice little stroll to wear the little ones out for sure. Lots of animals to see and touch...cows, sheep, horse, goat, pig, chickens, rabbits, and even a little garden snake. Will definitely be going back! read more
