The check in process including me showing a Drivers License and printing up a sticker badge in black in white. I was here to catch my niece's play. 9AM on a Friday? You're welcome! I was sure to ask the teachers first before extending warm hugs to family. The children seem to have a ton of enrichment to their education. They had just held their Book Parade. I'm here for the reading encouragement! Public education holds worth. There's residential curbside parking around the school/ up a few blocks. I look forward to being back for different occasions.

There's no sense of community, school spirit, or effort with the administration at this school. Notices of dress up days, parent events, and other activities were sent out a day or two before event dates. Poor communication and lack of accountability from administrators at Hazel Harvey Peace. My daughter had Mrs. Lautigar and I expressed to her teacher several times that I felt she had dyslexia ( I had it, my mom, and my grandmother) the signs were there and she brushed me off. Her grades were declining and I finally sent an email to the Principal, Vice Principal, and the Special Education teacher. After months of asking for testing she finally received testing in fall of 2024. She did not receive results until a month before school ended. So my child struggled all school year due to the lack of understanding, urgency, and care. My son on the other hand had Mrs. Wooldridge and I absolutely loved her, if I gave stars it would be just for her. Her efforts in the classroom was very evident and she truly cared for her kiddos.

I've kept telling them multiple times my issue isn't with the office people my issues is with my child teacher like I would've understand better if the teacher would communicate with me because I understand dealing with autistic children is a lot but if it's a problem let me know and I would gladly take him out. And there is a reasonable amount of h/w per night. I remember the pre-k teachers and how sweet and considerate they were. I remember being held and comforted when I was sad :) If you have any emotional struggles you will find kind and loving friends there to comfort you. Though the lower campus DOES have an issue dealing with bullies, it has gotten better. And because of them, the person who used to physically abuse me has COMPLETELY changed and has become a better person. They have also trusted in Christ more. Side-note: If you or your child feels uncomfortable with anything or anyone, you can just ask a member of the faculty if you and them can talk later.

She's a horrible person to bully kids !! It took everything in me not to put hands on her. she has kids as well. Don't treat people kids bad or wrong and don't think that can't happen to yours. It's a life cycle!! Be mindful when dealing with other people kids.. I took the necessary steps for her to be REMOVED from his class.. Mrs Taylor is so so unprofessional Ghetto also disrespectful.. This school wants you to believe that the kids are treated with love but that's all baloney !!! I seen teachers and staff mistreat kids of other grades...
