We stopped on our way home from Raleigh. It's a brewery with a restaurant, we misunderstood that it was a brewery and a separate restaurant. Almost all the seating is high top, even in the restaurant area upstairs - if you have hip or knee issues be aware. The steps are steep. Hubby enjoyed the beer and since it serves food they offer non alcoholic fountain drinks and sweet tea. If you ask for unsweetened tea you are out of luck. My Dillinger Smashburger was amazing, hubby ordered the cheesesteak - good, but more bread than filling. It was a Saturday afternoon so lots of kids in the brewery area downstairs, the upstairs was quieter. There is a parking lot and street parking. read more

Really great atmosphere! Lots of seating upstairs and outside. Service was great! Everyone was super friendly, helpful and they came to our table often to check on how things were. I ordered the salsiccia pizza. It was really flavorful and loaded with toppings. It said there was a hot honey on top but I didn't taste any spicy, just sweetness. I have to give it a 4 because the pizza had wet/soggy middle. Maybe too much oil? I prefer a crispy dough to toppings. 1st time there so next time I will ask to see what is needed to make crispy vs wet. Flavors were good for the ingredients. It is a serve yourself style where you can sit upstairs in the pizza place or downstairs at the brewery. They bring the pizza to the table using the number card they give you at checkout. Food is fantastic. We got garlic pizza and a calzone. Also got Brussels sprouts and duck fat fries. Also delicious. We sat downstairs in the brewery. A great place for families. Lots of kids there the night we went. Beer was delicious. Lots of choices. Service was fast It's a great place to visit with a friend or just have a beer at the bar. Two suggestions and this is why I didn't give it a 5 star: stools with backs would be more comfortable and cold glasses would be great for the beer. China Grove needed a place like this. This review is only for the restaurant. The Grove Cartel microbrewery, which shares ownership, is reviewed separately. While small in size, the restaurant seems to have enough spacing. And they will even deliver orders downstairs should you rather sit in the microbrewery. I ordered the wood fired pizza and I was not disappointed. Very delicious. This spot is the cats pajamas! First things first the ambiance here is great. It's inviting and had great music. Seating is amble and it has some outdoors seats too. The wings were flavorful, the skin perfectly crisp, the Buffalo was spicy but not overpowering and their homemade ranch with most refreshing dill taste to it. The il carne was phenomenal, we had it the suggested way with mayo and pickles. The bread was out of this world fresh as were the cold cuts on the sandwich. The funghi pizza was amazing. If you like mushrooms, and umami flavors this is the pie for you. The pollo picante is the best spin off of a spicy pizza that's not traditionally buffalo. You can bring your dog onto the patio The restaurant is separate and upstairs. If you're on the patio you can walk up and order or just use the QR code to order and they'll bring your food down to you. Which sounds great...however, the service from the restaurant was absolutely the bare minimum. The young woman brought our food out and pretty much didn't say one word to us. There were no plates, napkins, or silverware offered. We had a dog and a toddler with us and we didn't feel like we could take a break to run upstairs and grab those things. How am I the first to review this hip pizzaria/ brewery? I got the $10 lunch special... mushroom pizza with drink included. No tomato sauce on this pizza... (it is kind of a Flatbread) I'm old school so I always assume there's tomato sauce on a "pizza"... I added the table hot sauce on... WOW! The pizza is delicious though, with or without the hot sauce. Creamy rich whipped ricotta, zesty mushrooms and seasoned very nicely. The crust could have been a little crispier for this diner, but no points lost... very yummy. The pizza was wonderful. We ordered a 10" lunch Margareta pizza for $10. The sauce was not sweet which I love. Instead of sliced tomatoes they had chunk tomatoes in the sauce. It was very good. The mozzarella was sliced not shredded. The crust was crunchy on the bottom but soft and doughy on the top. I would definitely get this again. They have Pepsi products. I saw sweet tea but I didn't see unsweet. Southern tea is just too sweet for me so I can't tell you about the tea. We live in Concord and it was about a 30 drive from near the Speedway. It is worth the drive. The restaurant is upstairs with a brewery downstairs. I am not sure if they have an elevator for those with mobility issues. read more

I really like the vibe of this place--great atmosphere, and the downstairs bar has a great variety of local beers. It's a solid spot to hang out and enjoy a drink. The food itself is amazing--everything we had was delicious. But unfortunately, the way they handle ordering and service takes away from the experience. You have to place your order on your phone, and before you even receive your food--or can evaluate the service--you're prompted to leave a tip. The thing is, you're essentially serving yourself. You grab your own plates, and the only interaction with staff is when they bring the food out. On top of that, the food came out in a really unorganized way. Our pizza and fries arrived first, then egg rolls much later, and finally, 15-20 minutes after that, our wings showed up with the dips we had originally requested. It felt chaotic and inconvenient. Overall, the food is fantastic, but the process really takes away from what could be an incredible experience. A little more structure in how orders are handled would go a long way in making this place even better. read more

Was a five star, now it's definitely gonna go down to a 2.5. If the staff doesn't know the difference between parsley and oregano on a pizza that they are advertising as a special, that's pretty sad. You also ask for pepperoni on it, and they forget to put the pepperoni on it. This was our second visit here, the first one was extremely impressive. The dough had a nice puff to it. It was very soft and tasty. Unfortunately , this time the dough was very flat and didn't have quite the flavor that it did the first time. Hopefully it was just an off day, I will make one more visit there and if it's not any better, we will adjust the review again. read more

Man this place knocked it out of the park. They have a great system going not only with the quality of food but also service and atmosphere. We split a pizza, wings, and duck fat fries. Pizza - cooked perfect crust was light enough but had great flavor. Buffalo Wings - lean not much fat, great sauce. Duck fat fries - best fries I've had in a long time. Excellent flavor.
