I originally went to this office for floater issues and seen by Dr. Aram, retina specialist, who was very thorough in testing my eyes and monitoring changes. In the process one of the tests revealed a condition called "narrow angles", which relates to glaucoma issues. I also began seeing Dr. Saboori, who is a specialist in this area as well a cataract surgeon. At a subsequent visit Dr. Saboori explained the condition quickly worsened and recommended I get laser iridotomy surgery in both eyes to stop the progression and eliminate this issue. I was very nervous yet felt very confident he would do a great job. I'm, of course, relieved to say both eye surgeries went perfectly. They were 1 week apart with no pain and instructions to limit some of my current exercises and just take it easy. Dec 1 and 8, 2021. He is calm, precise, conscientious, careful skilled surgeon. Both of these doctors are interested in their profession and those they serve. I'll be talking with them both in the next couple of months regarding laser cataract surgery. read more

I must concur with all the 5 star reviews here. Dr. Claudia is a truly exceptional doctor/person in every way. Plus, her office at Meadows Retina is staffed with nice, high quality persons as well. Wait times are quite reasonable for a medical office. I was referred by my Ophthalmologist to Dr. Krispel after some trouble with my R eye post cataract surgery. From the very beginning, she understood with empathy my squeamishness and fright re: anything to do with my eyes. She immediately diagnosed my problem, put together a plan of multiple eyedrops per day and set me at ease. Now we're over 2 months down the road and my retina has improved exactly as she said it would. She told me then her opinion was the eyedrops would heal my retina in several months, thereby avoiding an invasive procedure - which frightened the heck out of me. Thankfully, she was spot on. Needless to say, I have been very motivated to get all those drops in my eye per day ;-) to achieve this result! Very, very grateful my other Dr. recommended Dr. Claudia. I don't know, and don't want to know, where I'd be today without her careful guidance, sincere caring and impressive professionalism. If you need a retina specialist in Las Vegas, look no further. I recently took my daughter here on a referral from an optometrist re: her eye problem. She was examined by Dr. Gunn who we extremely liked. Dr. Gunn was extremely knowledgeable in his field and explained everything to us in layman's terms. He was thorough in his examination, professional and very kind. He was good at relaxing the patient and the family member (me, her mother..lol) during the eye procedure that was needed. He was very laid back and calm which in turn helps the patients feel at ease. My daughter had an injection in her eye and when Dr. Gunn was through with administering it she was so surprised to have felt nothing! No pain at all! He was so good at what he does and I would refer anyone going through any eye problem to put your trust in him. Dr. Gunn is wonderful! I am so thankful we were sent to him for helping my daughter. I highly recommend Meadows Retina Center, Dr. Claudia Krispel. I was diaganoised with Vitrectomy, a problem with the retina. Doctor Krispel monitored my eye for a 6-week period; to see if the problem would correct itself. We eventually scheduled same day sugery to correct the problem. i experienced no pain or downtime. Dr. Krispel has a great bedside manner, caring, and took her time and explained the surgery in detail and what to expect afterwords. I have been going to Dr. Krispel for several years. She performed surgery on my left eye to close a macular hole. Everything went perfectly! Probably one of the best retina specialist in town. Took my dad to see her for diabetic retinopathy. So happy she has her own practice now and is worth the drive if you are far from her office. Very approachable and explains everything in layman's term. She lays out all the options and makes you comfortable with whatever treatment decision you make. 24 year gluacoma patient from seattle and last 6 yrs. here in the las vegas valley. have been through 3 other glauocoma specialists here in l.v. whom i won't comment on and by luck or fate discovered dr. saboori and took a look / see at his resume. after a quick review of his impressive resume i changed my medicare advantage plan to include coverage of dr. saboori starting in 2019. smart move on my part. thanks to the dr.'s skill and expertise my iop ( eye pressure ) over the last 2 yrs. is the lowest in 26 yrs. am also able to eliminate use of some of my daily drops. dr. saboori is the real deal. his best attribute is that this highly skilled dr. has zero ego and i mean none period. he is the most down to earth and easiest to talk to dr. you'll find. just a regular guy. but don't take my word for it.....take a look at his resume and medical training, then give a call to meadows eye and ask them how many of the dr.'s glaucoma patients from his previous employer followed him to meadows eye ( like i did ). if you are a glaucoma patient and value your vision this dr. is as good as it gets. forrest r. read more

Dr Krispel is the best!! I started having problems two years ago with my eyes I have been to two other retina specialist before I went and seen Dr. Krispel. When I went to see her, her first approach was before we do any treatment lets find out what's going on first where the other ones just wanted to start doing treatments they said let's see if it does anything. After all of her testing she found that I have a very rare I disease. And I am in the process of treatment if it wasn't for her I would probably be blind. She is the most caring doctor that I have been to in a long time . Her office staff is absolutely awesome also. read more
