I walked into my Ophthalmologist' office and of course there was a lot of foot traffic with other patients sitting in the very spacious lobby. I did read one of the many signs that covered the walls. I followed the directions and walked over to the newly added Check-in Kiosks. Once I offered my form of Identification, the kiosk advised me to walk up to the front desk (windows 1,2,3,). The windows were boldly numbered, and I can appreciate this cause every can't really see to read the smaller desk numbers. Especially if you are dealing with eye issues of any kind. I arrived approximately at my appointment time. I'd already received my Pre-New patient but also re-establishing my care from being a patient back in "2017-2019. Once I checked in on the Kiosks, the kiosk told me to Check-in at one of the three windows. Of course me being right- handed I walked up to the window on my right. Now I noticed and observed this young person's demeanor as she spoke to the woman in front of me. She seemed to be patient, understanding, and polite. That changed immediately when she got a look at my Ole' Fluffy ssA Smdh. I stood in front of her desk area for about 20-30 seconds before she acknowledged me. I tried not to think of her being somewhat rude just because I looked differently from a number of the patients that were coming and going. I just brushed her not noticing me as maybe she didn't really care to see me. Once she got finished whispering to her co-worker. She proceeded to ask, May I help you? I said, Um the kiosk advices me to Check-in at one of the windows? This person told me to have a seat and someone will call your name. Now that's NOT WHAT the kiosk said, I can still READ. I went and walked over by the television seating area (there wasn't anyone in this area). Plus I'd forgotten my mask in the car and I preferred to be safe being that I was recovering from Influenza A from several weeks back and this was a good day for me. I never like going around others' sickly it's not fair to anyone. Meanwhile I'm watching the videos discussing Cataracts, Glaucoma, Laser procedures etc. and I hear someone call my last name...mind you I checked in at 1:50p.m. (on the kiosk). Welp I thought I did, it was 2:15p.m. when the same young person at the window on my right side said, I called you ( when I asked, Did someone call my name)? She proceeded to tell me that you didn't check in and you have to go back to the kiosk to check in again. Of course I'm pissed because when I walked up to you 20 minutes ago you didn't even have the decency to look in the computer in front of her to see WTHECK was going on and Why did the Check-in system direct me in the first place to go to the window??! She made the technicians, and the doctors have to wait over 45 minutes for me because she refused to assist me the first time. Once I got in the back I was even more annoyed, and agitated. I knew I'd be getting my eyes dilated by the Technician as well and I wanted the dilation to be worn off before night fall. Cause if not, I was gonna have to sit in the parking lot longer (as I did end up having to do). I spoke with Viviana about that young person putting a very bad taste of unprofessionalism in my mouth. Seeing her interacting with her co-worker whispering about whatever was so tacky. Even the Office manager understood where I was coming from as I broke down the situation. I also felt as if she's been dismissive like that before and there's never been a proper coaching behind her unethical behavior. The office manager has been with the Doctors since the 2000's I remembered her. It's crazy How many good people are being replaced with these bad seeds that just are seeking a paycheck not caring about their positions and the regards of others and when healthcare workers had the compassion for human beings. I was so glad to see Dr. Neibaur, he looked the same as I'd remembered him from years ago. It's because of him, and Priny (intern) that I'm leaving four stars. I know it's not the doctors' fault on how certain staff members conduct themselves. However being the faces of the doctors' it sets the tone for people like me that value helping, and caring for others. I definitely gotta get back into the medical profession cause all these morbidly dormant employees are definitely not gonna have jobs for long. Now I understand Why AI is taking over in so many different professions now it makes sense to me now. read more

The first time I visited the clinic with my daughter, we were seen by Dr. Lopez, a pediatrician. He gave me a prescription, and I went to the store to have the glasses made the next day . Three days later, they called to inform me that there was an error in the prescription, so I went back to pick up the corrected one. I understood that mistakes can happen. They remade the glasses, but when I went to pick them up, my daughter said her vision was blurry. I went back again because the second prescription turned out to be incorrect as well. They couldn't offer me a solution on the spot, and I had to wait two days for them to call me back. The final outcome was that the original prescription had actually been correct all along, and they had mistakenly called me to pick up the second, erroneous version. As a result, the store had to modify the glasses three timesand my daughter needed them urgently because her current frames were broken! This was very unprofessional. read more

I'm extremely disappointed in Dr. Darrick Neibaur who performed my cataract surgery. He told me that for my surgery he needs to use Ora system, which normally it isn't covered by the Insurance or at least not up-front. Its cost is $750. To reimburse me my Insurance needed a statement from Dr. Darrick Neibaur confirming that Ora was necessary for my surgery. I spent 2-3 months trying to reach him. I sent him a written request; I called and emailed his manager Romy Ibarra multiple times. No response from the doctor or from the manager. I even scheduled a meeting with both of them, but they didn't show up. What an ignorance! I put so much work just to get that statement, but I couldn't. Dr. Darrick Neibaur failed me. I will never go to see him or recommend him. There are so many other eye doctors in town. We need doctors who care about their patients. read more

I had an appointment today for 1:50 in the Henderson office. I was finally called back at 2:30 (Won't even get into how crowded that waiting room is, with a number of people who are likely immunocompromised, in the midst of a Covid surge...). Then the intake assistant, David, decided to ask me questions that I had already filled out on the intake form, from home, a day before. Instead of putting the onus on your patients, try the question, "I have a list of your medications here. I'm going to read them off, can you please verify we have them correct?" Their philosophy that the patient is unimportant to the practice is very evident, in the lackadaisical approach to my appointment time (despite having already checked in and paid the copay for the visit... both things that require zero human contact, presence, or empathy), in the way their assistants approach intake and their lack of customer service skills (I have NEVER been ordered to "get out of my room" by ANY medical practitioner in my 54 years on this planet, something David said repeatedly), and in their office manager's assertion that she would "cancel your appointment," which she made clear wasn't about MY appointment (as, as I pointed out to her, you cannot cancel an appointment that is already passed, and which I showed up and paid for, keeping my end of the contract), but rather about the DOCTOR'S calendar. The world doesn't need ANY medical practitioner who isn't patient focused. I won't ever set foot in your office again, won't recommend your services to anyone, and have requested another referral from my doctor, even though I have had no changes in my eyesight and didn't need this appointment in the first place. It's a real shame that after 30+ years of service to this community, you have lost sight of what is actually important in your practice. Pun intended. read more

He gave my dad an unnecessary eye surgery claiming he has "cataract" and now my dad's right eye is permanently damaged, his eyesight is blurry. A few months later their office mailed a nasty letter and told my dad to see another doctor. Please do not go to this Doctor. After waiting for nearly an hour in the massive waiting room (actually, when I arrived the waiting room was full. When I was finally called back to the inner offices I was just one of three people still waiting in the waiting room), a nice woman tested my eyes and dilated them then took me to another waiting room where I waited at least 15 minutes to finally be called back to see Dr. Singh. Now, I feel that Dr. Singh must have been having a bad day, because he treated me like I was bothering him for just showing up! He seemed upset that I didn't agree to schedule cataract surgery. (The first time I saw him months ago he was very cordial and actually spent time with me, making me feel that he valued my input.) After "seeing" me for about a minute and a half, he dismissed me, telling me to see him in six months. I felt like a kid who'd just been scolded and didn't know why! read more

The absolute worst front office of any doctor I've ever had. And I'm not kidding. I really liked my doctor, Dr. Warner, but trying to deal with their front office is a no-win situation. *Every appointment* I've had with her since earlier this year has been rescheduled or cancelled - and not by me. Even my scheduled eye surgery was rescheduled. I have, or had, an appt for 1/20/2025. The appointment was made in August. Two weeks ago, the office called and said my appt. would be at a different location about 20 miles away. Well, ok. Last week, I got a letter confirming that change. Today, I have a voicemail, saying my appointment has been cancelled, and to call to reschedule. I called and asked why my appt was cancelled, and there was no specific reason. And the next available appt. is in APRIL. You couldn't pay me to go back there. If you don't need a surgeon, I recommend Dr. Joseph Lao at Optic Gallery. Terrible. Went in Monday 2/2/26 to Nevada eye physicians in Henderson and told the team and doctor that I had something in my left eye. Had to wait a long time. Saw doctor he looked into my eye with the light and scope and said "eye is irritated, don't see anything in it." Then he proceeds to tell me I have glaucoma risk even though I'm only 36 and rushes me out to get me reschedule in a month for testing. Moreover the receptionist over charged me by $76. Turns out she charged me the part my insurance pays and I have to wait for them to get it then they will refund it. I went to shepherd eye center yesterday 2/3/26 and saw Dr Ho who actually checked my eye throughly and turns out there was a rock and some debris in it! Dr Ho removed it and prescribed my antibiotic eye drops. Dr Gassen should face consequences for his lack of care and inability to do his job. Don't trust him as I now see him as a doctor who doesn't care about me but only about money. read more

I have not written a review in some time. I want to preface this with that I've been a long time patient of this office and the doctor's here are fantastic. The front office is terrible. I've never been treated like that by any business let alone a doctor's office. My wife had an appointment in the morning and she arrived earlier after leaving work. Mind you, this was a rescheduled appt because they canceled her previous appt. She was told they would attempt to get her in earlier and be seen as soon as possible which was appreciated. After waiting until 9:45pm for a 8:30am appt she could no longer wait due to another scheduled appt. When she tried to express her concerns with the office staff she was told that their policy explains that her appointment time is different than the time she would be seen and that she could be waiting for up to 1.5hrs or more to be seen. Never was this expressed to my wife at any time that she had been seen here-apparently the schedulers are to blame. I called the office to express my concern as well get more information about what had happened. The office manager Sylvana(sp?) did not seem concerned about hearing what I had to say and truly made me feel like I was wasting my time. At no time did she seemed concerned about how my wife was upset about how she had been trying to see her doctor for over month due to her concern about her eyes. She made not only me feel that I was just a number, but also my wife who I referred to this office. "Bedside manner" is not something that is specific to doctors. This has to be extended to the office staff that represent the doctors. I understand this is also a business, but any business where the customer leaves feeling like they've done something wrong when they have a legitimate complaint about the expectations of care at an office that was never communicated. It's just not right. I have been a patient here for most of my life (Nevada Eye & Ear originally that became Nevada Eye Physicians), my brother did rotations at this office when he going through med school and referred me to the doctors here...again-the doctors are great, but I will not be returning to this office due to the culture of the office staff and reading many of the reviews here-that is a majority of the complaints here. They simply don't respect your time and are not afraid to tell you to front. "A technician will call you 20-30 minutes after your arrival time" sign posted in office. First visit, was there 30 minutes before appt. After waiting an hour and a half, I asked for my money back and went home. I was not the only one that had this problem. At least 4 people complained about appointments being hours over. The reviews also paint a picture that this is common for them. Their time is more valuable than yours so they overbook and make you wait. Funny how if we are late or miss or have to cancel, you guys want to get paid. But if we sit there for hours, where do we send our billing invoice? My going rate is $225/hr. read more

BEWARE Nevada Eye Physicians on Wigwam I DO NOT recommend doing business with this company. At my annual eye exam, the doctor said the cataract on my left eye is ready to be removed. I made an appointment with the surgeon to remove the cataract. The surgeon examined my eyes and said the cataract was not ready. He suggested getting eyeglasses until my cataract was ready to be removed. Unfortunately, I purchased a pair of glasses from Nevada Eye Physicians optical department. When I received the glasses, I put them on I could not see anything. The tech said her computer was down, she's unable to check the prescription. She said I will need to come back next week. I returned to the office on Monday. A young man in the optical department checked my glasses against the prescription. He said the glasses matched the prescription. He recommended wearing the glasses for a while to get use to them. I tried wearing the glasses I could not see with. Of course it did not help. Once again, I returned to the office to be told I needed to make another appointment for another eye exam. This is my fifth time returning to the office for these glasses. After another eye examination, the doctor gave me a new prescription which resulted in an additional $220 to correct my lenses. I said I do not want to pay any more money for these glasses. I just want to return them. The tech that sold me the glasses said they have strict NO RETURN POLICY. She showed me where I signed the form. Today they gave me these three unacceptable choices. 1) I keep the glasses although I cannot see anything with them. 2) Change my glasses for distance only (I bought and need bifocals) 3) Pay an additional $220 to change the lens to a "Slab Off" (I would not have purchased the glasses if I had the correct prescription and price to start with. I can understand the overall score for Nevada eye because even today it was very interesting. I just got brand new insurance, but I have not gotten my card yet in the mail. Through my HR department I got all my coding information for my new insurance. The first girl I approached who sits in the corner desk when you first come up at least for today maybe not every day was unwilling to help me, and shoot me off to the kiosk ultimately knew this wouldn't work because generally the kiosks don't take all the group and member number information and she should've really known that which I think she did. After two tries, I went to a different check-in spot and the young lady there was more than wonderful not only did she enter all my information, but she took the time to tell me the differences between my old insurance that I had with them and my new insurance. I got shuffle around with a couple other people. Everything went well and then the icing or I should say the cherry on the cake Dr Gassan. Dr.Gassan is incredibly great at what he does and he is super friendly. Got a great exam from him and he took time to ask me if I had any questions. Except for the initial check-in girl that I talk to everything was spectacular here today so because of her, I will deduct one star and make this four out of five but to be honest, if you need an eye exam, Dr.Gassan it's quite good. read more

WAIT TIMES! Are exorbitant for this practice! They have no respect for a patients time and tell you that you need to allow 2-2.5 HOURS for your appointment. I have many other physicians and NONE of them treat patients so inconsiderately. DO NOT spend your time with these physicians. They are talented doctors but they are certainly others that service their patients respectfully. For example: My appointment was for 1:45 and as I sit in this dark "holding room" with a dilated eye it's 2:57 and there are 3 patients ahead of me! There is many moving parts/tests prior to seeing physician when you're first called back they do one test, send you back to waiting room, the call you back to do another test, back to waiting room etc. There must be a better way ‍ read more

Nevada Eye Physicians provides terrible service. They operate as a Patient Mill, over booking patients resulting in 2.5 to 4 hr waits. They waiting room plus backroom is about 60 and constantly full. I was 20 minutes early for my appointment, took about 30 minutes for the pre screen, did get dilated so need to wait 30 min, it took nearly 2 hrs to get called. During this time waiting for my Primary Appt, observed 6+ people check in and go thru their pre screen, then get called before me, and conclude their Appt, before I got called, most all of these people also were dilated. This office is a patient mill to cycle thru as many patients a possible per day, time with your Physician is about 10-13 minutes. This is the third year I have seen them on an annual basis, and each year the are worse then the prior year. I used the kiosk to check in, provide Insurance and make a copay which was convenient, however their patient management and process management is horrendous; it is the byproduct of a poorly managed office and staff. It is completely disingenuous to their patients and shows no consideration for the customer base. Nevada eye Physicians overbooks to make people wait 3 + hours in the waiting room for a 10-13 minute eye exam, and cant manage this process effectively. Absolutely terrible Physicians office. Simply uses patients to milk them for substandard service and and a sickening experience. read more

After I followed w my dr after cataract surgery, I went to their eye center in their lobby. I sat with a young, unpleasant, and bitter young lady. After less than 5 mins I was ready to leave. She was awful. I asked for a manager and talked to Michelle. They need to know how horrible she was. Michelle Knows who she is, as she was right next to us. I chose not to make a purchase. While the surgeon specialists here are top notch, the wait to be seen at every appointment runs 2-3 hours at least on average. It's absolute insanity in their waiting room with people crying, people over due on medications and meals. When you question their process they say that's just the way it is here. They have no empathy for the situation their patients are in. I've had my eye surgery and I just need the stitches in my nose removed but had to leave after waiting over 2.5 hours past my appointment time. Guess I'll be pulling stitches out myself. read more

just now NEW I had a good appointment with Dr. Rouweyha, however the girl that took me back to the room and did my dilation was very, very rude. (No known name since they don't wear name tags. This incident occurred on 4/6/23 for a 1:30pm appointment.) I've had an amputation due to a car accident at a younger age. The rude woman not only didn't listen to me when I told her I know my other specialist doctor's names, when I spelled out the names of the doctor, she said "I will just type patient doesn't know." I do know and had just spelled the name for her. When she asked questions about my medical history, surgeries and medication list, I said it is very extensive. Is there a place I can fill this information out? She said "I don't know but you can ask someone else. I just have this paper." When I tried to tell her at least my two biggest allergies that have caused skin to necrotize, again she dismissed me. What topped it all off was her asking "did they take that off?" Meaning my amputated leg. I asked what my amputated leg had to do with my EYES and the treatment of my eyes. She said "they just want to know if that was taken off or...." Extremely rude of her to not only ask something so personal that has nothing to do with eyes, but to word her question in such a crude manner. She quickly flipped through the vision test which how can I trust someone that can't even enter medical items correctly or take the time to enter crucial information into my new client chart, how can I trust that she knows how to do an eye exam? I left the appointment with a new prescription for eye glasses that is far stronger than any pair of glasses I have worn in years. I've just had an eye exam two months ago performed somewhere else, and that exam power was only increased by .25 in power, but this lady had me leave the office with an increase of 1.75 in power. To top it off, the prescription doesn't even have power written down for my left eye, they only wrote down the prescription for the right eye. I did appreciate the Dr trying to quickly answer some questions and give me an updated referral to another eye specialist, but the appointment is very rushed. The wait time in the waiting room is extensive and you're with the doctor less than 10 minutes. Hopefully I can get a prescription for the left eye written, but I am wary that the power this seemingly unskilled tech jotted down is absolutely inaccurate. No one checked her work and she had to walk back to the machine several times to check the numbers, which didn't leave me with much confidence. Overall, I was happy with the doctor, but 100% disappointed in my experience with the girl who dilated me, didn't enter much into my medical record & asked personal questions that was not related to my reason for the appointment. (Vision.) I am only giving this place 2 stars because I liked the doctor. If I could give it no stars for the woman who dilated me, I would have. They also attempt to sell you glasses from their store. I underwent surgery and I'm disappointed; they didn't do a decent job, and even though it's healed after a month, it still doesn't seem like they did it correctly. A technician named Vanessa is very rude. No compassion, no home training. Just rude. My boyfriend is struggling to see so he keeps telling her "it's the same" on the eye test. She proceeded to have an attitude stormed off and said i need to get my colleague because you're struggling with me. My boyfriend said i am not struggling with you, i am struggling to see. She proceeded to raised her voice when I told her she had an attitude she kept talking with her hands and just getting frustrated because HE CANNOT SEE. My doctor is amazing, don't get me wrong. However, trying to get on the phone with the optical center is a NIGHTMARE. Over the past few months of me trying to order one box of contacts has been nearly impossible. They send me straight to voicemail every time and I leave a message, but they never return the call.
