The shop owner had two different pumps, and took the time to explain what the best one was and why. I opted for the better pump with the steel barrel, and the ability to fill standard and Presti valves without the need for an adapter assembly - all in one. It has an analog (needle) gauge, which is fine with me - the other broke one had a digital gauge, and it wasn't working consistently or well. Good advice from the owner. I was looking around for something else. I usually wear a dry-fit shirt for riding, but that rides up and I get mud in the itchy places. He had some nice bike jerseys for the local club, and I tried on two of them. The large was too tight, but the extra large was just right, looked good, and no more flapping in the wind. The price was reasonable and equivalent (in fact less) than some I'd shopped when riding in Madison. This shop has a TON of hardware - you can get gears, crank arms, clusters, brakes, everything, plus has a complete shop. All local, put your hands on it, and get support. So support this local business. Go buy something there.

They spent the time to adjust seat height and handle bar positions in addition to installing water bottle holders which was great since we didn't have our own tools. I would highly recommend riding on the Great River Bike Trail which is right next to the bike shop. Head up north to Savannah and/or south to Fulton to see the Dutch Windmill. Our group had an great time riding and the sights were equally amazing along the trail.

Lack of consistency and availability can kill a business no matter what products and services they offer. We stopped in and asked the lady at the counter if someone one could look at her bike. She asked her husband if he had a minute to look at it. He spent about twenty minutes straightening the gears. As he was working on it, we looked around the old gas and service station. We found out the station we opened by his grandfather and had been in the family for several decades. The old gas and oil signs and cans made the place unique. Once he was done with her bike, she road around the block, and it worked as it was supposed to. We also ended up getting a bike helmet when we were there. The Bike Station was a place we would go back to. The value of the service and cost was worth the extra time. They were busy but took the time to help us out. We greatly appreciate their help, and it made our ride much more enjoyable. Thank you.

I can fix a chain and put air in my tires but that's the extent of my experience. They sold me this bike and I've used it on two RABRAIs. No issues whatsoever except I had my chain slip off the crank set. I'd learned to hold down the rear derailleur, shift gears, and crank the pedal to fix that. The point is, I've put 1,800 miles on this bike on too long rides plus recreational use at home and it still rides quiet and smooth.
