I am late writing this but I figured better late than never…read more I went here a month or so ago with a very strange request. I got to this store at 8:43 pm mind you they close at 9. I needed to return the front break pads I had bought from the advanced auto parts in Waterloo Iowa because they had sold me the wrong ones. The receipt was merely a copy on my phone , all I had was a picture of what the break pads should look like. I know right ... But , Mandy and the gentleman that was also there , (definitely an employee but he was off the clock it seemed) went above and beyond for me!! We opened and checked at least 12 boxes and almost gave up when something I said clicked for Miss Mandy and she found the ones I needed!!! See I couldn't tell her if my vehicle was an SE or sxt or what not . It was not marked anywhere as such and beings that it was once an undercover detectives car it made things even harder. I don't know if I have ever experienced such awesome customer service as I received from these two that night! And mind you I've worked in the hospitality industry all my life. They both deserve a pay raise at the least and a good gift card to show appreciation hands down. THANK YOU BOTH ONCE AGAIN FOR ALL YOUR HELP THAT NIGHT!!! Once done it was well after closing and they both just stood there smiling and happy to have been able to help me in such a way! I recommend everyone goes there for their car part needs and make sure to tell them both how awesome they are. I brought my truck to Moore Tires for oil and brake work. They said the ECM was bad and had it…read moretowed to Sterling Chevrolet for replacement. Over the next two weeks, the truck was towed back and forth between Moore Tires and Sterling Chevrolet multiple times for ECM programming and brake work. I paid Sterling Chevrolet $2,267 to replace the ECM and one caliper, hose and fluid, but the truck was now not drivable -- hard shifting, idle issues. During this process, the truck sustained driver-side body damage at one of the locations (Sterling police report filed), with repair estimates between $3,100 and $3,800. I first noticed the damage while it was at Sterling Chevrolet, but neither shop noticed or has admitted responsibility and Sterling Chevrolet has NO parking lot video. I later reinstalled my original ECM myself and the truck ran fine, proving their diagnosis and replacement were unnecessary. Sterling Chevrolet agreed to refund the $2,267 in exchange for a release, but more than two weeks later I have received neither the release nor the refund, despite repeated follow-ups. They never follow up and charge credit card fees, sad excuse for humans
