Make sure to read the reviews that are more recent and pay attention to the negative ones. Also pay attention the images dates that they advertise. All are extremely outdated and is not what you get. All are true on our account, small sizes, bland food, sometimes raw protein (meatballs) have been sent. Lucky to get your order on time with your actual selections, as we would often get whatever they had available ignoring dietary restrictions. I don't even think the published macros are accurate based on what you get. More recently, terrible communication (lack of), no customer service, and no deliveries. If you're relying on a food service you should get your food. Look elsewhere and avoid!!! There's plenty of other more honest companies out there. read more

Discovered MPK (Meal Prep Kingz) through IG. I was destined to try them out because I meal prep every weekend for the workweek for myself and my kids and I figured I wouldn't want to be in the kitchen cooking after a mini vacation to Southern California. My communication was solely between Janet. I explained that I would be coming down from the Bay Area on Monday, thus picking up on that day and that I hope the meals would hold it together until I get back to work. The website is easy to navigate and ordering was easy as pie. Damn, I want a chocolate mousse pie. You need to order at least 5 per entree (ranging from $5.75 something to $8.75). The complex carbohydrates and vegetables are not mandatory. It is $.75 for 1/4c of complex carbohydrates and $.50 1/2c for your choice of vegetables. I chose spinach. To my surprise, when I opened my bag, the spinach were fresh and bagged separately to avoid loss of quality. I got an automated email that orders not picked up on Sunday (the day it is ready) then a $10 storage fee would be applied. I was honestly annoyed when I received that email at first because dude, I am coming from the Bay but little did I know, I was not charged a storage fee after all. I thanked Janet for that. Orders placed by 11PM on Thursdays shall be ready to be picked up, delivered (local deliveries), or hold at Elev8 Performance) for a small fee. MPK serves not just great looking meals but great tasting meals, too. The food is seasoned w/ Flavor God (I use it for everything personally) but what separates them from the many meal prep service out there is their exceptionally service. Listen. There were a few miner hiccups, at first. They, however paid close attention to some suggestions I had for my other orders and fixed it quickly. I've become pleased with their services. Not only do they listen well, but they've gone beyond and have helped me find a way to get my deliveries to me faster. There may even be an option to pick up your orders sooner, if ready, which works for me, since I'm not too far from them. Rudy strives to find solutions and caters well with the customer. He's awesome. They even provide helpful discounts. Which is dope. This is day 2 of trying out Meal Prep Kingz and I had to rave about how good their food is. I meal prep and I usually get chicken breast Broccoli and brown rice which is really boring and by Friday I'm fed up with it. MPK has over 20 options so I have a different meal every day. They give you OPTONS which is pretty cool and the portions are on point. This meal prep I had to try because of all my friends telling me about them. I have a few more meals to try but so far they are legit. Customer service is on point as well. I was confused about Saturday delivery but it was just me not opening my email. I have never cared to post on yelp before but I admit that I do read the reviews at times when I have interest. I am a new customer to Meal Prep Kingz and signed up after seeing an ad on Facebook. It was my first time ordering, but I have used meal prep for three years now. I can't speak to the old menu or past customer opinions, but I will say that from my experience the food is terrific. The portions were not small to me and I felt satisfied. I love the diversity of the menu and all the keto dishes. I am diabetic and insulin control for me is key. One last note... Companies change things all the time and you will always have people that like the old ways better. I've been using this service for a few months now and i have to say I did notice a slight change in menu this past week. Alot of what I'm used to week to week had changed and though the service isn't exactly the same... I'm actually enjoying these different dishes. The menu has grown which gives me more options and the desserts offered are actually delicious and sugar free. I like how they've added alot of creative healthy dishes to their menu. I must say the portions are a little smaller but i found that i was actually finishing my meals satisfied and not having to waste left overs...the portion control actually works for me. I recommend the chicken tikka dish (love indian food!) and the keto pepperoni pizza (simply amazing)...so good and not your typical boring chicken breast with a lump of rice & side broccoli meal prep. Something super positive about the changes with MPK is the delivery window is now mid day Sunday rather than late night Saturday. Some dishes are easy to freeze if you decide to buy in bulk. This go around we tried something different: Cuban Picadillo Beef, Chicken Teriyaki, and Miso Salmon. Not at all surprised that they were tasty, but was pleasantly surprised at how perfectly cooked the salmon was. When this company was fresh & fit, when it was socal fresh, it was fresh.. but then through all the buyouts and everything in between, it became meal prep Kingz and it became anything but fresh.. it's so hit or miss! One week you order and you're lucky to get 5 out of 10 meals (due to supply and with their terms & conditions, which you must read between the lines ). The next week, they're on point and deliver everything you asked for, plus meals someone else was expecting (which, you try to return but they never ask twice). Nothing is consistent, you can order all meals within your dietary restrictions, they will deliver what they have on hand... you could order all dessert if you wanted to, and you would get all protein. You could order meals with no carbs and get a flavorful dish with only rice (must love carbs). You could order portion controlled meals and get double the portion you were expecting. You may get delivery on Sunday, or you may get it on Monday. You may get your meals, or someone else's, or nothing at all. If it were still the quality as it was when it was fresh & fit, then maybe I would refrain from this review. But it's now meal prep Kingz and it's none of the above. It's just wilted lettuce, dry chicken and a skimping on every ingredient you order. Unless, if you want some rice, then your meals will have plenty of that. I recommended them to a couple of personal trainers for them to recommend to their clients, then I heard that their clients had a similar experience, so I stopped recommending them. I tried again when I thought things would be resolved (they blamed Covid, kitchen staff and delivery drivers), but it happened to me again personally. I cannot and would not recommend this place again, even after a year of multiple chances. I will however, give them the three stars, because I have told their customer service team about all the issues, and they seem to want to make it right. Full time Healthcare Professional too busy to do meal prep, grocery shopping, and cleaning for one person so I saw them on Instagram and gave it a try! First order had 10 meals quality food, taste, and nicely packaged! The dipping sauce for the dijon chicken was a little different and the teriyaki sauce for the sirloin burger was a bit salty. I loved the high quality food and flavor! Food was made on time and I did a Sunday pickup at their santa ana location. Its a little hard to find if ylu drive too fast u may miss the turn. They should put a clearer sign to help us find the place. Second order I got half Breakfast meals, and half Signature meals. One of the containers on the bottom actually broke maybe due to the stacking of the bags but my food wasnt damaged and it wss only one box. They've not responded to any of my emails and they use a google response, so don't even think you'll be able to contact them via phone. Be warned, do not order the Chef Signature Meal Plan from this company! It's a total rip off. After reading these reviews, I went ahead and decided to give them a try. We ordered two 15 meal Chef Signature Plans costing almost $400. When the food was delivered, half of my meals were unlabeled. I had no idea what was in them or the calorie breakdown. Additionally, 4 out of the 15 meals were the same thing. Who wants to eat mystery meat for 4 days straight?! Had I known they'd take the lazy route in preparing my order, I would have just ordered a la cart. The food is meh to say the least. There are way better options and services that actually care about their customers. Don't waste your money on them like I did! The new menu is off the chain and they delivered my meals straight to my hotel door with ease. I would recommend anyone like me who currently resides out of SoCal to order your meals ahead when you go into town so you can fresh, healthy meals during your trip. I noticed all the new yummy options, plus sweets which really helps me stay on track and not binge on crap. But I keep coming back cause there better then everyone else. Issues I've had uncooked food once maybe twice . Most of the time everything is great. whenever I end up ordering from these people I ask.. why do I keep doing this to myself? Delivery is fine, they have a comfortable order window.... but the food, ugh the food. I have been placing orders with this meal prep place for a while now.. never had issues. Meals are very tasty and they do provide a good portion unlike other meal prep places.. However, last week I had an issue with them and I don't think they handled it well at all. The website seemed to be having an issue and my order got placed twice. They had a discount code which I was excited to use and I wasn't able to use it; no big deal. I contacted them the day of but no answer. Like other people mentions here, communication is a little difficult with them. I call 3 days later and told them about the issue, the guys first response was "why didn't you call us sooner?!" in a very rude way. I explained that I called them THE DAY OF but did not get a response. He said I could've emailed them?, it's not my fault if they're horrible at getting back to their customers! I guess the meals were already made and at first he was refusing to give me a refund. He said that the meals were pretty much going to get thrown out. I got my delivery with my 6 meals and I guess they threw out the other meals.. The pictures on this account are from the original Meal Prep Kingz. They are now under a new company Untiy Farms Co. and the meals are NOT THE SAME chef prepared meals anymore. The food size per tray is way SMALLER than before, the taste is AWFUL, and the presentation is a MESS. Not just that, the delivery was changed to upto midnight so you might end up having food in front of your door for hours until you wake up. I would have rated them 5 stars with the original owner and will surely miss their chef-quality meals! With the new company if I could rate them 0 stars or NEGATIVE, I would! My friend was a huge Meal Prep Kingz fan and I had tried her meals before and loved it, I finally ordered my own meals this week and am truly disappointed, the quality of the food is not as fresh as it used to be and it tastes like frozen food warmed up. I also ordered 6 meals and one of the meals they sent was not what I ordered. I heard they got bought out by another company and whether that is true or not the downgraded quality seems to reflect that. Meal Prep Kingz food sucks, they are NOT THE SAME AS BEFORE. Portions are way way way smaller so is their container and the food is not appetizing anymore. Used to get the protein waffles 3 fluffy ones and now only 2 that are flat! Same with the Turkey Bacon Frittata used to be 3 items now 2 flat ones. When the food arrived, the sauce had spilled and was all over the inside of the cooler and the various meals. The food itself was very salty. There were almost no vegetables and it looked nothing like the pictures. For example, the chicken carbonara with zoodles had maybe three zoodles. The best feeling I get from ordering from MPK is the fact I don't feel bloated after any meals. My time is NOT diverted to the kitchen or A drive-in fast-food. For some people, they like that McDonald's feeling of fullness by one Big Mac combo. I on the other hand like to eat 4 to 5 meals a day, 5 days of the week and hit the gym without the excuse of my tummy holding me back. I love the new menu in its selection of the diet I want to take part in. The menu has changed and the MPK team in the kitchen seem to really care to give new ideas of food that tastes amazing and have an emphasis on overall health! The deliveries are on point and I'm notified of the drop-off. I don't work for MPK but I've been a customer and fan when MPK only delivered in the OC. I like how they have grown with quality each year. SO I got to point out to some of the other bad reviews on Yelp I've read and clarify that those people just seem to either talk about postings and one meal not being enough for them or worst the taste. I ate all 20 meals this week and it was on point in taste and quality. The food looked just like the pictures on their Website. Instagram stores all photos of the food MPK has offered from past to present, so you can see the progress for them is getting better and better. One meal should never make you feel like you ate a donut. Lastly, the pricing I feel is fair when you think its cooked, stored and delivered to your door. You cannot buy back time but that is just my opinion. To be honest I don't think any Meal Prep company can beat the Dollar Menu at any Fast-Food restaurant. As for the MPK team reading this. Not everyone is gonna be a fan but you got fan's like me who see's the small details to give me a delicious meal and convenience to save me time. A couple months ago I stopped ordering from this company and switched to meal prepping myself because I realized the menu was something I could literally buy at sprouts and make at home for less and better quality. My gym girlfriend suggested this same company to me again last week and was real excited to let me try her meal.
