My wife ordered the vegan Philly cheesesteak with sweet potato fries and I ordered the 5 wing combo with sauces fries. While the establishment didn't seem the nicest - we were warmly greeted by the owner and she was very kind in directing us to what food to try and have us some options from the menu. The food - the presentation and portions were definitely fairs. I sampled the fries from both before grabbing a photo - whoops. Sweet potato fries with powdered sugar and caramel sauce on the side was like having dessert first. The batter on the fries was crisp and full of flavor. Almost couldn't stop after one. The sauced fries were great as well - just prepare to get "sticky fingers." Now on to the entrees. The vegan Philly cheesesteak was absolutely delicious. The ingredients were well sautéed and flavor able while delivering a little heat to keep your destructive taste buds from devouring the sandwhich too quickly. The vegan meat itself was almost indistinguishable from real meat per my wife - and I would have to agree. The wings were crisped nicely and the sticky sauce was very delicious. It did not need a dip to go with - and it was eaten all the way down to the bone. We will definitely be back to try out some other delicious foods- both vegan and non vegan. The "fish" was crispy seasoned so well and even had great mouth feel. She somehow had seaweed attached that really gave you the fish essence. The gumbo was incredibly textured like a meat gumbo would be. I can't tell you exactly what was used but there was a veggie in there with the texture of chicken, sausage, shrimp, and crab. The roux was thick and great. What they are doing with vegan food is straight up soulful. I will be ordering meals online. FYI they don't have a physical location.

And then I found this company. They are partnered with Zagara's. You go on their website, register, place an order (minimum $50+fee), pay, and select your delivery time. Life couldn't get any simpler. The quality of the products are excellent. Meat was ground fresh that morning and was much cheaper than the chains ($3.39/# for ground pork, for example). Some of the products they carry are normally restaurant only, such as the gigantic bulbs of garlic we received (2 for .89 and fist-size) As they are a developing company they are limited in some product areas, but that will change as they grow. We selected the option to have groceries delivered between 1-9pm. Groceries arrived at 5pm. Delivery person couldn't have been nicer and carried everything inside. I may never set foot in a grocery again.

Cons: Presto Fresh has filled a gap for me in grocery delivery but it appears to be in the beginning stages of growing and learning. I signed up for the $169 premiere service so I can do a minimum order of $25 (though my orders are usually far more than that) and free delivery. However, every delivery has been late by at least 30 minutes (two by an hour!), I've had entire bags of groceries not even appear on an order and have to be redelivered, and getting a hold of someone on the weekend is ridiculously hard if at all possible. I've had entire carts that I saved disappear. Pros: The groceries themselves are really good. They do have unique offerings in most cases. And they have a ton of organic and specialty items which are nice to get. As far as produce, I've not gotten a single tomato that was bad, and only a few eggs were ever cracked. I think over time this could be an absolutely amazing offering. And while I still intend to order from them because I believe in the offering, I'm eager to see necessary improvements.

So I sent a check and a week later I get the cutesy happy notice that the package is on its way. They totally fooled me. My account was paid in full when I attempted to cancel but they deceptively got one more payment out of me despite my clear direction to cancel. Lesson learned. There doesn't seem to be any way out of this service once started. Take the warning.

The first I tried was the Apple Cranberry Salad with a delicious honey based dressing. It was very good and filling. The second meal was lighter and less calories, but equally delicious with many flavors merging on your tastebuds.
