For the price I paid I could get dispensary cookies, and after getting high enough and having the munchies, I may just have ordered from these people anyway. These cookies are the size of those which you could buy anywhere like Giant Eagle...or the Pillsberry refrigerated dough that you could break apart and put on your own cookie sheet for about five dollars. There was absolutely nothing special about them. They were actually pretty greasy. The snickerdoodle cookie was so thin you could see through it, and it fell apart upon taking it out of the box. When I walked in, the employee was helping someone else so I got a chance to look at their menu. I was thrilled to see they have vegan options as I have a dairy allergy. The day before Mother's Day and out shopping looking for special treats. I haven't had an Insomnia cookie in years. So if to Lakewood I go. Once in I had two people in front of me. The young man behind the counter was running from front to back filling orders. The service was slow at best but only cause one person was working doing his darnedest to keep up. To the manager of the store, I was there around six on May 8th. You need to find that young man and give him kudos. He worked a decent pace. Didn't seem frazzled and was pleasant and apologetic. So I purchased a six pack. Once to the car I had to try the white chocolate macadamia and I was disappointed that didn't buy any milk. Good thing I didn't because a six pack of cookies and gallon of milk would have been consumed on Detroit Rd. The cookies are great. Evenly balanced in taste. After a late night bar hopping with my friends, I had a sweet tooth craving. I was planning to stop by a giant eagle on the way home but as we were walking back to our vehicle we spotted this glorious shop open!!! My goodie 2 shoes!!! I've had my late night cravings satisfied in NYC thanks to their quick delivery so I was suuppper excited when I saw one opening up in ny neighborhood. Sad to say I was very disappointed. I was already hyped up with memories of fresh yummy cookies from NY so when I opened my box an got basically globs of warm cookie dough you can say I swore a few times as I looked up their phone number. It was freshly baked alright..so fresh it was practically medium rare. I tried to pick it up to snap a pic and it was just globs of smooshy dough. I'd have to eat it with a spoon. On occasion I do like cookie dough, but I paid $3.40 per cookie! 5 stars for their customer service as they did make it right immediately by sending out a new batch and free cookies coupon for the future. Basically, what this stuff is, is DANGEROUS. You don't go to the store to get it - the store is a phone booth with one grudging seat, where the clerks sideeye you for coming in. No, you order this in to your home when you're too baked to drive, and then gobble it all quickly in the hopes that you're so stoned you won't feel the shame of it tomorrow. And if you're a frosting-eating pudgepot like me, the fact that I CAN order this in is the sort of thing that gives my cardiologist a heart attack. And you want to order it in off their (also abysmal) website, which won't judge you and it pre-tips for you so you can grab the cookies before you see the pity in the deliverygirl's eyes. Just... don't think about how it's made. Another review here said that the two employees were making out, and that sounds staggeringly plausible. They're getting paid cookie-making wages to mass-produce your sugarbombs from a box in the back, and there's a microwave involved and extruded product, so just snarf it down before your upper brain kicks in. read more

My visit is reflective of an in-store visit, not delivery. I stopped in one evening and left with a 6-pack of cookies of a variety of flavors. I loved all of the cookies, but particularly loved the peanut butter. They also have deluxe flavors that you can't include in multi-packs, but can purchase individually. They offer milk and ice cream to compliment your dessert, as well. As far as taste goes-- I've had nothing but 5 star experiences. As far as service and convenience, I'd have to give it a 4. Every time I've been there, staff isn't terribly friendly and tends to rush you along (which is hard when they have so many options to look through.) Additionally, there isn't really ample seating to enjoy your dessert in store. Finally, it's Lakewood. So depending on when you go, parking can be tricky. read more

I went there this past Saturday. The worker wasn't very friendly. He just stood there waiting for me to order. Would have been nice if he said something along the lines of "How can I help you?" OR "What can I get you?" instead of just saying nothing. He did wash his hands before he did anything. I cookies were warm and falling apart. That's what they're supposed to do! Gooey and delicious. That's how I like it. The biggest turn off is the fact that they're located in Lakewood and won't deliver in Lakewood (at least certain areas of Lakewood). My experience was not a good one. Upon entering the restaurant it was me and one other customer. It gave me time to notice the place was not clean. I just figured maybe they had been busy that day as it was already almost 5:00 when I stopped in. Now it's my turn and the cashier greeted me with a very warm blank stare. My "yeah so what you want" friend didn't even flinch or look embarrassed or try to apologize. So I guess it's safe to say she's used to it. I paid my $20 and left. My friends really enjoyed their cookies, I thought they were just okay maybe I was biased by this point, I don't know. My final review... not worth the money, Heinens is down the street go there if you are purchasing cookies at a decent hour. I wanted to like this place. I had seen Insomnia Cookies downtown, so when I saw one pop up in Lakewood I was pretty excited. We stopped in around 8pm and picked up 6 cookies to go. We tried the M&M, oatmeal, and chocolate chunk. My overall experience was... Meh. Forgettable. Overrated. Sure, there is the novelty of being able to get cookies (sometimes delivered) until 3am. I'm sure they will do well in their location, catering to people leaving the various bars in the area. What we got was 6 shelf temperature cookies stuffed into small paper bags. How many cookies do you have to buy to get them boxed? Because the small bags were not the best packaging. If they were warm at all when they served them, they weren't at all within the 10 minutes it took for us to get home. I had expected warm, gooey, straight-from-the-oven cookies but that's not what I got. The only cookie that was slightly gooey was the chocolate chunk... But it was not warm or fresh at all. Overall the cookies were not even that good. They had a commercial look and taste but were not as good as Mrs.Fields or Otis Spunkmeyer. There are so many other bakeries in this area that serve up better cookies than this. If you're craving a late night cookie, you are better off keeping some Keeblers in your pantry. Or better yet, buy some from one of Lakewoods' many other locally owned bakeries during the day & enjoy those at 3am instead. These cookies are just not special. read more

First off when we arrived, the worker was outside smoking with her boyfriend, and not w that I think back I'm not sure she even washed her hands before helping us. Cookies were ok, but very small for $1.70, and over cooked. Add a small scoop of ice cream on top and you have a pretty expensive treat for $5.70 x 4 of us, nearly $23 for 4 cookies and 4 scoops of ice cream - CRAZY. Then add to that, that they had 3 bar stools to sit on, however the worker put her sweatshirt on one of them, leaving us only 2 of them to utilize (I get that they really cater to late night delivery but still). Delivering on the app was really easy. The delivery was really fast and the driver was really nice. The cookies were pretty awful, mainly because they were raw. So gooey you could not lift them without them falling all over and apart. I tasted a few...the peanut butter and mint chip, might be ok, if I wanted to put them back in the oven. Terrible experience. We went to the Detroit rd. location to order some cookies and ice cream. We walked in and said hello to the woman behind the counter. Before we could even finish our sentence she immediately jumped down our throats and told us they were only taking online orders for cookies, they were selling out of cookies and she was the only one working. She mumbled a few other things that we couldn't hear before turning away and walking to the back of the store and completely ignoring us. We saw that there was another worker in the back of the store so she lied when claiming she was the only one working.
