    Chocolate Peanut Butter Cup

Worker denied a refund and told me it was fully cooked. That "it's fully baked it needs time to settle", 30 minutes after having it, it still looks like this.

I think it's pretty awesome there's a cookie spot that's open pretty late for when you have a taste for sweets like insomnia it's a nice little place pretty quite to be honest and the cookies are very good I would recommend trying this place if you haven't

Stopped in about 15 minutes til midnight. I was in the neighborhood and thought I'd check it out. Years ago, I ordered Insomnia Cookies for my daughter in college, as there was one located near her school in Michigan. When I walked in, the employee was helping someone else so I got a chance to look at their menu. I was thrilled to see they have vegan options as I have a dairy allergy. Once it was my turn, I asked the employee if she had any vegan options available- she informed me that they had birthday cake and chocolate chunk. I ordered both and paid. Once home, I was surprised to find a few extra cookies on my box. I'm guessing because they close at midnight and the cookies were made already but it was definitely a nice surprise! Both cookies were very good. Soft and warm. The birthday cake was a favorite.

I got a chocolate chunk cookie with vanilla ice cream. It was VERY tasty!!! It was very $$$$ though :(. The worker was so nice and helpful, but I was really off put when she and her boyfriend were kissing while we were about to order!

The day before Mother's Day and out shopping looking for special treats. I haven't had an Insomnia cookie in years. So if to Lakewood I go. Once in I had two people in front of me. The young man behind the counter was running from front to back filling orders. The service was slow at best but only cause one person was working doing his darnedest to keep up. To the manager of the store, I was there around six on May 8th. You need to find that young man and give him kudos. He worked a decent pace. Didn't seem frazzled and was pleasant and apologetic. So I purchased a six pack. Once to the car I had to try the white chocolate macadamia and I was disappointed that didn't buy any milk. Good thing I didn't because a six pack of cookies and gallon of milk would have been consumed on Detroit Rd. The cookies are great. Evenly balanced in taste. It wasn't overly sweet the way prefer my cookies. I maybe stopping more often now that I know where it is and it's on my way home.

Everything crammed in a small box... this is $20?!

AMAZING!! Great service and it took no time tonight! Even when it's packed it's still a vibe because the employees are so sweet.

I love this place. Have never gotten a bad cookie! The only downside is sometimes it's hard to find a parking space to run in and grab some.

Pro Tip: Heated patio available…read more I stopped by at Tutti Frutti Mix after so much social media hype. The place was just ok, nothing amazing. No aspect of it especially impressed me. Just a little laidback eatery. The eatery is located in West Park with street parking (complicated to find parking). This cozy spot blends savory Mediterranean flavors with indulgent dessert options (crepes with various toppings). The entrance is through covered heated patio that has cute flowers hanging from the ceiling. The outdoor area has a lot of tables. Inside has only a few booths, and a lot of Nutella buckets. The latter is fun! I ordered my order to go but peeked inside the boxes before leaving. Gyro Sandwich with fries (extra charge) had a lot of meat, but was very light on the sauce. Fries were too salty and over-fried. It wasn't the best gyro that I experienced. I also ordered pistachio crepe with strawberry and Nutella. The crepe was made to order and you could watch the prep process. I'm pretty sure this crepe was Dubai chocolate inspired but it had very faint pistachio taste which dulled it. It had too much chocolate and was ok. There were also ice cream choices but I didn't try them. I had much better Middle Eastern food in the area. Food order was made quickly though which was a plus. Think of it as Middle Eastern fast food. The place had signs that if you ask for your food to go then dine in, there's a special $4 charge. The place was pretty busy considering it was Saturday a little after 9 PM. The service wasn't too friendly. I had to repeat my order multiple times and the response was - "what?" Just wasn't warm or welcoming. Overall, I'd recommend this place only if you're in the area and coming home from the bars. It's open late, which is clutch if you're craving something sweet and savory after hours.

Located in Lakewood, parking is on the street. The shop has an insulated and heated indoor patio as well as a few booths inside the actual shop. The location specializes in shawarma, as well as crepes, Belgian waffles, and ice cream, and Dubai Chocolate. The first time we came here, my husband and I split the Lotus Crepe and a Belgian waffle with fresh strawberries, Nutella and white chocolate with Oreo ice cream. Both desserts were excellent and decadent but we both enjoyed the crepe the best. The next week we came back and again split a Lotus crepe with lotus ice cream and a fudge cake crepe. Again, both were excellent but we still liked the lotus crepe the best. Both times we asked about the Dubai chocolate and both times they were sold out. This place is worth the drive to enjoy these unique and delicious desserts. I did ask, and all food in their entire restaurant is Halal with the exception of one ice cream flavor that has marshmallows in it. They also carry specialized coffee drinks and Turkish coffee. Give this place a try on your next date night or night out with friends or family. There is something for everyone and everything is great!

Pro Tip: Visit to get a pic by their cool Lakewood mural inside the store…read more Walking into Burning River Coffee was a bit like stumbling into a local secret - a combo of smoke shop and coffee shop. The front is unassuming, and this combo isn't something you see every day, but somehow, it works... or at least, it's interesting enough to give it a shot. I visited the coffee shop side while working nearby (walking distance) at the co-working center (Icon Cowork). I ordered the red eye. Honestly? It delivered. It wired me for days. It was extremely strong and not well crafted (too much, definitely not barista made). But boy did it do its job. While at the coffee shop, I noticed a small menu of other drinks and no baked goods in the case. It just really had the basics. Service was very quick. The barista (who worked both sides of the house) was nice enough, but the vibe was more transactional than inviting. Not rude, just kind of indifferent. The space had enough tables to sit at and very quiet atmosphere. One thing I couldn't ignore was the scent of vape juice hanging in the air. It didn't bother me personally, but I can see how that could be a turn-off if you're expecting more of a traditional coffee shop aesthetic. Of note is that both sides of the business have the same entrance. They're working on dividing the space into two separate ones according to my quick chat with the employee. Currently the coffee shop has no age restrictions while the smoke shop is 21+. Overall? Burning River Coffee is quirky and good for a simple cup of coffee. It's not a textbook coffee shop experience -- it's its own thing. Just don't expect the usual indie-coffeehouse playlist and aesthetic. Expect something unexpected and different.

The location is great to walk to neighborhood shops and restaurants in Lakewood. The friendly staffer really worked her latte magic! She said she always adds a little bit of vanilla to punch up the flavors of the lattes. The coffees were so good. I also appreciated that they used lots of ice....perfectly cold and creamy. The baked goods looked nothing like the pictures on Yelp, but they did have several vegan and gf options. This morning they also had fresh cinnamon rolls.

One of the best pies, the filling is as refreshing and sweet. The bee pollen didn't have much taste, had a chalky texture but was visually appealing. Though the pie crust was hard to insert the fork (probably because of the honey?), it was still good. Favorite of the night. 5/5 Service was good, a little slow but they were busy.
