A neighborhood gem! This Salvation Army location is well trafficked and for good reason. The store…read moreis organized and contains a wide variety of items including a large collection of near perfect condition furniture. Everything is clearly marked, priced fairly, and the inventory rotates quickly. I love to stop by on their special store-wide 50% off discount days and check out their dish-ware and women's blazers sections. You never know what you're going to find which makes the visit all the more exciting. They also have a great system to donate items. Pull up to their donation truck in the parking lot and an attendant will assist with unloading your items and providing a drop off receipt if requested. Great service!

Used bikes shouldn't be $200 as that's ridiculous. A new bike would cost that much. A few of the furniture is outdated and not in a vintage way, but at least from the 80s. Some of it looks like pieces from popular furniture stores and they were unscathed. I did see a familiar piece of furniture that is up to date and since all furniture is currently 50% off, they are reasonably priced to sell. The staff are talkers so beware if you thinking you can casually browse without being spoken to. Staff members seem to like to follow you around just to spark up a conversation with you which can be annoying. It happened to my friend and I three times. Twice by one staff member who was strongly trying to convince us to buy an article of furniture and another time by guy who followed us onto the second layer of the store. I even noticed that did it to other consumers as well. The purse and shoe collection appeared to be well stocked with the selection being very nice from cowboy boots, running shoes, to leather engraving purse. Huge store.

What a nice resale store! We went there after eating at Citizens (so fun!), and I mentioned to the…read morewomen working there that we had eaten at Citizens. They told me if we show our receipt we get 20% off. I don't take receipts anymore bc they're covered in BPA. So they asked what we ate and then gave us the discount. We got all kinds of cute clothes and toys for the three year old, and a Free People top for one of us! Oh, and they have a small Christmas section where I got the cutest framed pic. Note that they moved locations recently so the map we used wasn't updated. New location is across the main road running through Hempstead from the big courthouse looking building. Check it out! Drop off donations any time in the alley next to their store. They're in need of jewelry at the moment which I plan to take with me next time.

I'm grateful they are helping people, and the store looks very nice; but people don't shop in thrift stores to pay $22 for a pair of blue jeans ( no matter what brand they are). I was told by the employee " those are Ariats", so the nicer things are priced higher. They were the ones that were in his size and the ones he wears normally. I'd honestly rather run down to South Texas Tack and buy them brand new at full price before spending that on a used pair, that were already ragged at the bottom. It seems as things are donated to y'all, you would rather move the items quickly to make room for new items but instead I saw the same things sitting on shelves that were there when the store first opened (because the prices are too high). I even looked at a vase in the back, that was one that you receive flowers in and it was marked $6. It should have been $1-2 if it's at a thrift store. So if your looking for a true thrifting experience with great deals, this isn't your kind of place I promise you.
