I came by here with my wife and the in-laws while visiting with some of their family in the nearby Smiley Provincial Park. They may not have a ton of signage on the road, but the red roof of the brewhouse is sign enough.
There's fields of lines for hops, currently unused due to drainage issues, we were told, the brewhouse and acres of other fields. Our stop in the brewhouse got us some samples and paid 4oz tasters of their beer, and I got a 1L growler of their wheat beer for $13, including the bottle deposit. While they don't take returns, they will refill any brand of growler, for a very reasonable price of $6-7. There's also several kinds of lavender-scented beauty and hygiene products for sale, since that's one of their other main crops.
The friendly owners suggested we take a stroll down the path to see their pigs, turkeys, and chickens, and it wasn't only my 3 year old niece that enjoyed this.
If you're touring through the valley-ish area, you should definitely make a stop in at Meander River. read more
