Ordered takeout lunch for my older grandsons at their request. Two Sandos for them: Brisket and Cheese Warm Turkey on Sour Dough One soup: Their delicious flavorful Corn Chicken Chowder in a creamy broth with a slight pleasing kick. One two meat Combo for my husband and me: Turkey and Pulled Pork, Two Sauces for meats Sides-- Potato Salad, very tasty & homemade like Mac and Cheese, shells with creamy multi Cheeses Food was 5 Stars as well as service. Pleasant to learn I earned Points in their Frequent Buyer Program.

After coming back a few times I definitely need to increase my rating. The BBQ is fantastic. So tender and not overly smoky. The Mac and cheese is incredible. In the top 3 of all time if not #1. Plus everyone who works there is very friendly. They have reached the top of my list for BBQ in the area and the food is always consistent.

I'm from Poughkeepsie and I work up here in Albany and decided to stop by meet and Company today and it was the best decision ever. I'm a big guy so you can trust my reviews. The meal hit the spot. Everything was cooked to perfection. The kimchi was amazing and the sliced turkey was nice and juicy. Also got the cornbread to top it all off and it was phenomenal. I would recommend coming here for lunch dinner or honestly anytime. whoever greeted me when I walked in, was very nice and made ordering easy.

Meat & Company is such a gem in the Capital Region! The staff go above and beyond to make customers feel welcome and to ensure they're having a great experience. I stopped in on a weekend afternoon and was warmly greeted by the cashier. My fiance and I decided to share a two meat platter. We chose brisket and pulled pork, which came with two sides so we opted for potato salad and mac and cheese. Everything was absolutely delicious! The meat was so tender and flavorful, and the mac and cheese was unbelievably creamy. They have multiple tables and a seating area, which is great for those waiting for takeout. It's a casual atmosphere that's so beautifully designed. The good thing is BBQ is featured on the weekends and sandwich specials during the week so you can stop in multiple times for different things. Highly recommend!

1/2 Pound - Brisket

Niskayuna math at its finest: $34/lb fatty brisket, "half pound available" on the sign Half pound is $21 -- not $17. When questioned they said thats just the cost of a half pound. Make it make sense. Wont be back.

My husband and I came here for dinner on a Friday. A steady flow of customers coming in and out, including people who were dining in. As you can see, there aren't that many tables and some people (including us at first) were waiting for a table to sit at. They have a lovely area with a couch and comfy chairs but who wants to eat messy BBQ that way? Even though we told the cashier that we wanted to eat in, our order was put in the warming area and people around us continued to receive their food, when we did not. Finally after about 20 mins, I went and asked where our order was. My husband enjoyed his pulled pork sandwich. However, my ribs were tough and chewy. Plus, the BBQ sauce that came with it was not my cup of tea (too vinegary but I know everyone's taste buds are different!) Lastly, the cornbread. I had such high hopes but alas, it was quite a disappointment. The cornbread had more of a gluey cake consistency and I have no idea what is smeared on the top of it but it literally added nothing to the dish. If it's supposed to honey butter....it was barely honey anything. It honestly looked like icing. We won't be back.

I have had Meat & Co in my bookmarks since a well-reviewed Yelp event I missed a while back (so business owners, never think that hosting such events won't lead to future visits) and the stars aligned for a lunch while I was in the area. Went for my standby, a brisket sandwich. Generous amount of meat on a generic bun (as it should be) with cumin-accented Texas barbecue sauce which I requested on the side. (Tabasco, which is how we dress our brisket in TX, is available behind the counter), chips and a too-small but tasty portion of pickled onions. Meat was tender without any particular character from the rub or smoking. Kimchi coleslaw is worth trying. It's a vinegar slaw with a generous amount of the liquid that accumulates in a kimchi jar. The combo plates come with sides which would save the rather hefty price for sides ordered by themselves. Friendly and quick service, zero atmosphere but clean and tidy. A solid resource if you're in the area and hungering for smoked protein,

the meat is excellent. But the sides, they are something extra special. They have some of the best Mac and Cheese around, the baked beans have a nice spicy kick, and the potato salad is a homemade egg based, and it's better than I can make at home. The restaurant has a few tables and is very clean, and the service was fast and friendly.

Meat & Company is knocking it out of the park in every way. Stopped here for the first time. I got the brisket sandwich which comes with chips. My husband got the two meat platter, he chose pulled pork and turkey with the pit beans and potato salad. Everything was fantastic. I hate to say the brisket melted in my mouth because that phrase is so overused but it's true. I tried some of the turkey and I would eat more turkey if it always tasted so good. I will give a warning about the pit beans. My husband has a much bigger tolerance for spice than I do. He said they were hot. He would have to take a bite of potato salad almost immediately after a bite of the beans.

K-POP Taco

Update: Pulled up for lunch the other day and this place just keeps getting better. I ended up getting the KPOP Tacos and, let me tell you, these are quite possibly the best food item I've had anywhere around here! The chicken was perfectly cooked and seasoned. The sauce was fantastic and not overwhelming. Bonus, the owner is such a great guy, he was going around to all the tables offering people their fresh cornbread on the house. Once again, 10/10, an absolutely can't miss place!

This was my first time back to Meat & Company since our Yelp event a few months ago, which has been one of my favorite Yelp events ever. I was pleased to see everything was just as tasty and well prepared as it had been that first time. This time it was take-out, which takes a few minutes to prepare, but you can see them setting up at every step. My favorite foods there continue to be their ribs and smoked turkey, and the kimchi slaw and beans as sides. I like that the sides are just different enough from similar sides at other local BBQs to be unique. I'd love to see collards become available in the future. There's just so many good options here, plus combo platters on Saturday. If you want a lot of options, consider the family combo if you have enough people for it. It's about a 20 to 25 minute drive for me to bring take-out home, but the foods are well packed and stay warm even for that amount of time... which is good, because I'd certainly be up for more take-out more often.

Nice place! We were greeted as we came in, which for me is greatly appreciated. Young lady at the counter was knowledgeable, friendly, checked on us after a few bites. Food was excellent, mac n cheese was legit. Not like some of these other places that people swear by that has no flavor. If this was a publicly traded company, I would most assuredly buy stock. Will definitely be going back. Keep it goin'!

Mac special- I stole a few bites.... Wear lose cloths

R Gershon's Deli (Facebook) Dear Friends of Gershon's, It is with a heavy heart that I share this news with our loyal customers, friends, staff, and extended family. I have made the incredibly difficult decision to close Geshon's Deli & Caterers. Friday, January 30th, 2026, was our final day. This decision was not made lightly as Gershon's has been an integral part of my life since I was a little girl. After my father's untimely passing, I took over with one clear mission, to honor his legacy, keep his dream alive, and continue providing quality service and "good food for good people." For more than 60 years, Gershon's has been shaped by the people who walked through our doors. Every employee, customer, client, and friend has played a role in our story and our success. Unfortunately, rising food costs, ongoing economic challenges, the lasting effects of COVID, and the loss of my final opportunity this week have left me with no other choice. To everyone who has supported me over the past nine years, thank you. Thank you for the memories, for trusting us with your celebrations, holidays, milestones, and everyday moments. Thank you for allowing me to be part of your lives, in both the joyful times and the hard ones. I will miss seeing you all more than I can put into words. I am deeply grateful for the love and support you've shown me and my family over the years. I wish vou all nothina but the best. Please take care

On good days, they can serve one of the best sandwiches. Otherwise, I've had several occasions where I was left wondering why my pastrami sandwich was literally two pieces of bread with a small bit of pastrami - no dressing or anything else, and no questions asked. I like the attentiveness of the staff whenever we come here in person whether for diner in or takeaway, and their fresh pickles are wonderfully crunchy and worth looking forward to. They have some delicious pies, too, and the chocolate cream pie is our fave. I would go back, but the inconsistency over time certainly has dampened my enthusiasm that I may have once had.

In one sentence: The food for my grandson's graduation party prepared by LaGioia Deli was outstanding! All the guests raved by the quality of the food, the preparation, and the quantity! From the moment my daughter contacted Laura, the owner, to place the order to its pickup everything was handled efficiently, with care, and with an emphasis on what the customer desired. A change in the order was made with no problem. Friendly service throughout the process. The food was packaged very well and stayed warm. Portions were generous and the cost less than other places. The items ordered: Cheese Tortellini with Broccoli and Shrimp (excellent) Chicken Parm (outstanding!) Meatballs (like Grandma makes, so GOOD) Ziti with red sauce (freshly made and seasoned perfectly) Cavatelli with red sauce Eggplant Rollitini (popular and delicious) Chicken tenders Three large loaves of house made bread (outstanding, guests returned for seconds) (The owner gave us rolls also.) A large container of grated cheese and extra sauce was included. Our family from Rhode Island took some bread for the car trip home. Check out my photos to view the food! There were lots of leftovers to enjoy another day or two or three. We highly recommend LaGioia for catering. We usually order from Homestyle, but the food here was better. (Not to mention the better attitude plus getting the order correct and ready when requested. Owner at Homestyle sometimes "forgets" to tell kitchen about phone orders. You arrive for pickup, and there is no record of order!!!) Pizzas from Pizza Works in Burnt Hills rounded out the menu along with a tossed salad and fresh fruit. Two large Ice Cream Cakes from Marcela's on Rt. 50 were a hit as always! Nana made Italian Lemon Cookies!
