I needed a 60 foot pine tree removed in my backyard. I went on Angi's list to find reputable tree removal service. I received (6) quotes. Meca Tree Service was very responsive and provided a fair estimate. We discussed the scope of work and they made a few suggestions based on the health of the other trees in the yard. They committed to performing the work a week later. They removed the tree while I was at work. I am absolutely amazed at the quality of work. It is as if there was never a tree there. I can't believe it! I even raked the mulch where tree stood to see the stump - there is no evidence whatsoever that a tree once stood there. We live in a populated neighborhood with lots of houses close together with mostly mature trees. I recommend most highly, Meca Tree Service. I had a 40 foot Norway Maple which was split down its trunk which needed to be removed immediately. It was between two buildings making it a very difficult job. Meca came within an hour of my calling. The company of 8 men came the next day. They removed any potted plants and placed them in a safe place. They carefully removed the tree and cleaned up after themselves. I hired Meca Tree Service to Trim a 100ft Tree that was damaged in last month's Storm in the North Riverside Area. They were punctual, very quick and did all the work we agreed on. They brought down some really big and tall branches without even using a crane. They had a large crew, everyone knew what they were doing and were in and out in about 2 hours. The left the area really clean and nothing was damaged, despite working around power and internet lines. You could not even tell they had been there. One declined the job because it was too dangerous and the second submitted an estimate that was $2000 more than the estimate from Meca. our 40 ft tree fell in the front of our house at 5am. I called Meca when they opened at 8am. an appraiser was here by 10 am and the cutting team came around 1 pm. the crew had the tree cut down in a few hours and cleaned up everything. this was on a Saturday when we had very high winds and there were several fallen trees in Chicago. we were so pleased with their work and timelines. I had a 50ft. Spuce tree that had to be removed because it was leaning towards my garage. The tree was between my garage and the neighbors fence so not a lot of room to work in.
