Extremely pleased with my family's experience with Meca! We needed a dead Ash tree removed from our backyard, stump included. The tree was huge, about 30+ feet and near the house and power lines. We received a free estimate and not only was the quoted price half that of other companies we looked into, but the service was scheduled for the very next day (and the guys arrived EARLY!). The process of getting the tree down was fascinating to watch! The higher, bigger branches were tied up and eased down to the ground after being cut away. Branches that had fallen into our neighbors' yards were cleaned up quickly. The guys couldn't have been nicer or more professional. There were about 6-7 guys total and it took them about 6-7 hours, from arrival to clean-up, to complete the job. They had to do everything basically by hand as no huge equipment could fit into the backyard. We made a small deposit beforehand and paid in full via credit card upon completion. Showed up on time ready to work. Wasn't able to start because I didn't have a vehicle moved that was in the way. They left and came back when I was able to get the vehicle towed out of the way. Meca removed two trees for me that were in tricky areas - one intertwined with electric wires and another adjacent to neighbor's fence. The trees were in my garden so no machinery could be used in that area - they had to climb the trees and take them down bit by bit. I had high hopes for this company because they were prompt in contacting me after I sent a message requesting a quote. However, I quickly realized they were unreliable. The scheduler I spoke with gave me a date/time, but the estimator never showed up. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and called to see what happened, turns out they made a mistake. Fine, I rescheduled because I wanted to support a local company, but again the estimator did not show up. NO SHOW 2x! Nobody ever contacted me to explain what happened. Meca Tree Service was professional, courteous and a good value. We had them remove 2 and trim 4 trees. They finished all this in about 2.5 hours. I was pleased they removed my hanging planters out of the way before they got started, and they cleaned up all the debris after the job so well that it looks better than when they started. We got a few quotes and they beat everyone else. The office was very communicative about their schedule. We did have to reschedule due to a storm that presented emergencies for other customers, but that's totally understandable. read more

Everything about Meca has been great. They came out the next day to give me a quote, which was was a great price that we could work with. We then scheduled for the next week the removal of an approximately 35 foot Catalpa tree in our back yard, against our house and power lines going through the branches. Because of the crazy March weather, we had to reschedule for a week later and they came on time (actually a little early) and were done extremely fast. I needed 2 large trees in my front yard trimmed. There were many dead branches and the trees just needed a general overhaul. I called and Meca came out and gave me a reasonable estimate. Two days later they came and took care of my trees. They sent ~8 men so the job was done very quickly and efficiently. The supervisor answered all of my questions while they were working. They did a great job cleaning up my yard and my neighbor's yard where there was some sawdust and tree branches from the work on my trees. I will definitely use them again. Meca might be magic. I got an awesome quote from Meca himself and set up a date for him to come by and take down a large, dead ash tree in my back yard. On the day of, quite a few guys on the team arrived and I dashed off to a coffee shop to use the wifi and quickly send off some work. I think I took a half hour, tops? We had a large, old ash tree in our back yard that was failing due to emerald ash borer. After getting a number of estimates from different tree services, we went with Meca. This service had good reviews; their quote was very reasonable; and since they were working a few blocks away, they were able to cut down our tree later on the same day. Our driveway is not wide enough to accommodate a truck, so they had two guys who climbed the tree. They came with plenty of workers and equipment, trucks, and a chipper. I was amazed at how carefully they worked, especially with cutting the limb over my neighbor's roof and our roof. We had them grind out the stump.
