I have not been to the pumpkin patch, so I can't speak to that. My relationship with DD Ranch has been as a buyer of grass fed local meats. I have been purchasing from them directly on their website and found them to be very responsive and professional. I picked them after I went to Locavore and tried a steak from every grass fed vendor to figure out where we wanted to buy our meats. I think their beef is delicious and well packaged in butcher paper for the freezer. I'm so happy they are available for our area and will continue to support them and their family for a wonderful product and excellent customer service. Thank you!

Definitely my favorite part of our trip to Bend, Oregon! There's a little something for everybody…read moreat this museum. They have antiques, artifacts, stones, and lots of exhibits to look through. We went through the indoor animals pretty quickly, and then found an 80s themed volcano exhibit, which was very classy. Felt like stepping back in time in 1985. All of the art looked like something out of my high school planner ha ha. We found the pioneer section that talked about different time periods in Bend, Oregon, everything from settlers, miners, indigenous, people, and some more modern things. It was like a time capsule. The ambience was really cool too. Lots of ambient sounds and music. Seeing the animals was really cool. It always warms my heart to see otters playing together, swimming together, and just being cute. Although my wife and I aren't very big fans of animals in cages at zoos, we can tell the animals are really well taken care of here, and since many can't be released back into the wild, we do it as them getting a new lease on life and getting to be admired, adored, and educating people as they pass through Bend, Oregon, and stopped for a visit. Definitely worth the money. Good parking. Service was very good. I can tell the people who run the museum really like what they do.

The morning began with a light breakfast followed by a short, informative talk before heading outside. We were given maps (and loaner binoculars) showing birding locations around the property. Several bird experts joined the group and were incredibly helpful in pointing out species and answering questions. The grounds were beautiful, clean, and perfect for birding. As an added bonus, admission to the museum afterward was included, allowing us to explore at our own pace. I highly recommend both the museum and this event for anyone interested in nature or birding.

Traquair House in the Borderlands was a definite highlight. They even have a hedge maze out back! All that aside, Ginger knocked it out of the park. She put together a trip that allowed both of us to see some bucket list places in the region. There was never an issue of a lack of transportation, or a hotel failing to recognize our booking. We spent nearly three weeks trekking across the UK and everything was right on schedule. We did miss a ferry on the way to the Isle of Skye, but that was our fault. The three hour detour was worth it though. Scotland is one of the most beautiful countries you'll ever see. I could go on all day, but the point I'm trying to make is that Ginger put together a dream vacation of a lifetime. So many memories and moments that we'll never forget. Very knowledgeable, whimsical, lighthearted, and free spirited. The perfect person to lead an adventure into the Oregon wilderness. Our trip started with a short van ride from the Fred Meyer parking lot. She shared lots of knowledge about various trees in the area, wildlife, things the local government was doing to help clean up some of the territory we're gonna be going to explore the cave. She seemed like somebody who genuinely enjoys her job, likes to explore, and is just a genuine, good person all around. Going into the cave was surreal, almost like stepping into a different climate. It definitely felt like it was 45° all year round down there. Once we lost the natural lighting too it became very spooky, but everybody had headlamps so it was pretty easy to see where we were going. My wife and I saw a few baby brown bats hanging out on the walls while we were there. They were so tiny and cute! I'm glad they're able to survive down there. I really like that her tour guy gave us a choice between one of two directions into the cave. I have really bad knees, and thankfully, our tour guide, and our group was able to respect that. We had a very good lighthearted adventure down in the dark. My favorite part was when we all got to turn off our headlamps for a little bit, and stay silent, and just enjoy utter blackness. Deathly felt like a good way to de-stress a little. Shay was a fantastic tour guide and we are definitely going to be using this to our group again in the near future. Thanks for the memories!
