Secondly, they'll lie right to your face and tell you some nonsense lie that has nothing to do with the issue because they can't own up to their mistakes. Went to get the bolt tightened on the oil pan that they left loose and they still didn't tighten it all the way. On top of that, they didn't top off our oil and put a filter in that we didn't need only to jam it into position causing more issues. I told him I had an appointment and when they asked what I needed done I explained that I was looking to get pads and rotors all around on my vehicle. They took all the information on my vehicle and gave me a quote. I gave them the keys and told them I would wait for the vehicle. I was able to see them working on my vehicle while I was waiting. I was there for about 2 1/2 hours before my vehicle was ready. I was able to easily pay using the new card and received some discounts. So far everything seems well done. Everyone I encountered who worked there was friendly and professional. They were very straightforward with everything and I am satisfied with the service they did. The price for the job was in line with what I expected to pay.

The manager of the shop Kiante called me. I've been going to Valvoline since 2023. The last two times I went to get my oil changed. I noticed the car shaking and moving really aggressively, and sounds of a ratchet gun. When I question them, they said that the drain plug was a little tight to not worry. The last time I went was the same issue, and I started to really pay attention what was going on. They started draining my oil from the top of the engine. I do not remember the person that worked on my vehicle but they said that it was normal to suck it out from the top of the engine. Last week when I spoke with the manager Kiante, he said that they do oil changes from Jeep grand Cherokee's from the top of the engine all the time and that's how it's done. This is a lie. My dad owned an automotive shop my entire life up to 2020 when he passed away. I know this is not true. When I questioned him, he asked me if I was calling him a liar. I said you're not telling me the truth so I guess you are. I thought it was really unprofessional and from that point on the conversation went bad. The manager was yelling at me and speaking to me in a very unprofessional tone. He claimed that it was not them that stripped the drain plug and he refused to take accountability. I know that Valvoline is responsible because that is the only place I ever took my jeep to have an oil change in the last 3 years. I told him I didn't want to speak with him anymore that I'd rather speak with his area manager,(Sean). The store manager then told me that he's gonna look at the video and he'll show me what happened underneath my engine. All I really wanted was for them to replace the drain plug that they had stripped. At this point, I don't trust nor believe anything He says. I've been waiting six days for Sean to call me back. Now my faith and confidence in Valvoline technicians to do the right thing is gone. I went to a local mechanic who told me that the drain plug was tight and so hard that it took him a while to get it out. He said it was way over tightened. A new drain plug cost only nine dollars and change. I got a new oil change. I had to go through all this aggravation for a nine dollar drain plug. I really think that upper management should look into these two managers and see how incompetent they are acting. Looking at past online reviews of this shop I see that there has been similar problems in the past. I can honestly say I cannot recommend Valvoline anymore especially the one at this location.
